[ROM][ICS] MIUI_Au v4 2.4.3 Beta [03/04/12][FINAL-DISCONTINUED]

Thought I'd post this here for anyone wanting to test it out.
Bear in mind that more information regarding some of the modifications can be found on the website linked below.
Merged into ICS build so far:

Using Sandvold's ICS 4.0.3 Beta 0.4.4.4.1 as a base (thanks to Sandvold)
Camera preview working, video and panorama FC (thanks to rapmv78)
Full Hardware Acceleration (thanks to Drewis)
Tweaked minfree and vm settings for better stability
Custom hosts file for blocking ad servers
CM9 APN's for better network connectivity
Your choice of PC-A2SD, A2SD, or Data2Ext (options are in the installer). Requires 1 ext3/4 partition as the second partition on your SD Card.
GPS patch (Thanks to crypted)
OTA updates, be sure to set your recovery type during installation (Thanks to XJ & MIUI.us)
Automatically adjusts to fit CM7-r2 HBOOT
Applications
Gmail with 3rd party app notification support

REQUIREMENTS
Requires an ext3/4 partition to be the second partition on your SD Card.
Will install on any HBOOT, and symlink system folders to /data if necessary
Only stock HBOOT, Data++ and Sense can perform data wipe without rom reinstallation, due to system files needing to be moved for other HBOOT's.
INSTALLATION
If you restore apps or data using Titanium or MIUI Backup, there may be problems due to changes from GB to ICS. If you do have any, restore apps one by one to find the culprit.
Make sure you have an ext3/4 partition setup as the second partition on your sd card, otherwise you will have very little memory to use as data2ext won’t work.
Please understand this is a very beta version, so expect errors.
There is no FM radio, so please don’t bother complaining.
Any errors, feel free to post but do not demand a solution.
Flash at your own risk.
If you experience any serious problems, we recommend you do a full wipe/factory reset then flash again.
SUPPORT INSTRUCTIONS
I will NOT be responding to any more posts about problems unless you can prove/state the following:
You have NOT restored any apps from a backup from a GB rom.
You have tried a full wipe/factory reset.
You have used google to try to find the answer yourself.
You have read the comments to see if the problem is already reported.
You have read the entire post and followed the instructions provided.
If the problem is related to apps FC’ing, you provide a logcat of the FATAL EXCEPTION.
If the problem is low memory, post the output of “df” and “mount” commands in terminal.
Do NOT ask for features/apps from MIUI GB to be included. They are when they are.
Any other reports, unless I deem them to be reasonable, will be ignored. Take no offence, but if I don’t answer (and trust me I’m very good at answering the questions promptly unless I’m asleep) it means you haven’t done the above, so read properly and try again.
Do NOT ask about any device other than the HTC Desire GSM.
Completely unofficial port. For more information and downloads, proceed to MIUI_Au.

Never noticed that. Long press on wifi icon in notifications works as always.

Haven't fixed all the translations yet, been more worried about getting everything working.

You don't have the Superuser app any more, if that's what you mean. Superuser and app permissions can be found in the "Security" app now.
Seems to work great so far, but my battery life's not so great any more. Anyone else having that issue?

Only have english and chinese langs.

I'm pretty sure where I listed the same hardware acceleration hack as any other ICS rom is being included, that explains that it's not full HWA.

Yes and no. Some are bound to cause issues due to the changes, if you have any problems that will be the cause.

Theme support is implemented, but there are very few themes that support ICS MIUI for now. Give it time. And it's MIUI style messaging.

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ics to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. We're calling it: Hybrid mode, best of both worlds.

we all want to test this awesome rom! but most of us got bootloops after flashing.
and the "hybrid gapps" are still offline.
for me it doesn´t work when i use the fixed gapps from the froyo version.

I wanted to try this rom in 2nd boot...I'll wait that someone test it! I hate bootloops!!! Yesterday I got bootllops flashing whiterabbit cyanogen and I spent a lot of time trying to restore the phone, than I flash CM9 kernel and know is the best rom GB based for me!!

Let me know how it turns out, I'm curious. It's probably the same case with the other CM12 roms but yeah. xD

not sure why so many cm12 roms.. It's better if everyone work for the bug fix rather than creating the same CM12 with same bugs...

So far, anerik's thread has been most useful; least bugs, big fixes, clean, and very fast and smooth.

yeah this guy is just using someone else's work and sharing it as his own. no good.

@Bakapo these guys don't understand that if you use the same sources, you'll get the same size(doesn't mean you copied anerik)....I don't even use anyone's build from xda...I build from source directly...the only difference between you and me is that I don't Upload to XDA....
But don't listen to these guys, add some features to your ROM and upload that if you wish... Good luck young dev [emoji6]

Hello to everyone, here there is the last updated version of MIUI 8 before the team patchrom abandoned the project, so this rom is updated to 30/06/17. I have ported this rom from here so all credits go to @Kuck7610.
NOT WORKING
Offline charging (I've tried everything without success. The phone stucks at bootlogo and doesn't show the offline charging animation)

HOW TO INSTALL
1. Do a nandroid backup from TWRP
2. Format system, cache, dalvik-cache, data and (optional, only if you have all your files in your sd card) internal storage
3. Format your data partition from ext4 to f2fs in order to make the rom faster since MIUI rom is heavy for our device
4. Install the rom, gapps and I suggest you to install this kernel for a better experience
5. Reboot and enjoy​

HOW TO FREE UP SPACE IN DATA PARTITION
MIUI rom is heavy for our device mostly if you want all MIUI experience, but if you want to free up space you can, before installing the rom, delete from data folder inside the zip everything except "app" and "cust" folders. Inside app folder you can delete customized, recommended and vanward_applist. Inside noncustomized folder you can choose what you want to maintain.

It's based on cyanogenmod 13.0 so it's marshmallow.

Reboot your device

Rebooted like 10 times. But rom is smooth af. Can't get that sim problem right otherwise its awesome.

I know that there is only one fc regarding smart assistant but this doesn't make the rom unusable

In order to setup the rom without fc you have to select english language
