Hello I cant find a way how to download music into my music hub "zune" from web or thru app. I found some apps like Supermusic, Walkman7, but they dont allow to download mp3s directly into phone. Do you have some tip or trick how to do that? Thanks.
You do it from the marketplace on your phone or upload music from your PC via the Zune software

I cant download it from markerplace in My country. Yes Zune is option, but I miss downloading directly from web. This is big disadvantage for me, if it is not possible. Maybe to make update for music apps to allow download it from app into phone
(re-posting this in relevant board, sorry for duplicate)
Hi Guys,
I gather not many people actually use Google Music in the UK due to the required work arounds to get it but I am quite interested in using it.
For those who do/have used it:
Do you like it?
Is it worth the work around hassle to gain access?
Will getting it now via the workaround cause problems when it's actually released?
What worthy alternative services are there that aren't iTunes/iCloud/Match?
I want a music service in which I can own my music as well as purchase music, add my existing music to the service, and sync between devices.
I feel like there's nothing that does that apart from iTunes Match and Google Music
I love it, its my everyday music player... I no longer keep music files on my phone because I stream it from the cloud.
Likewise. I have been using it for a few months and it is absolutely life-changing. I just uploaded my entire music collection and now just stream it all instead of having it stored on my phone or memory card.
But how do you guys upload it in countries other than US?

If you need the APK to get the app on your phone, how do you get updates?
Do you have to use a proxy only to sign up or do you need it for desktop streaming?
Can your purchase music in the app?
Once you register via proxy you can use it anywhere, Play store for music doesn't work but who cares.
You only need the proxy for initial registration. For everything else, no proxy required. So in reality, its very little effort for lots of awsomeness
After owning the MAXX for 2 months, I just discovered Motocast. It is pretty awesome, I can access files and music from my home computer. What I want to know is, is there an app from Google Play that works the same way? I have a friend who wants to stream her music files from her home computer while she is on the road.
Play Music, the default music app on the phone. You just need to install the Google Music Program on the computer and it will automatically make all music on the PC available for play and download from any devices synced to that Google account. You can also play all your music from your Google Music account anywhere you have internet access.

Maybe I should have specified? She doesn't have a Motorola. I am looking for a Play app. Not what comes with my phone.

She doesn't need a Motorola, just any Android phone and the Play Music App. Unless they've changed things the Play/Google Music app comes stock with Android phones. If not, she can download it in the Play Store. I gave you the link right there =p
Update: I hadn't realized the original developer still has this on their website. I searched Google before but didn't find any place to download, that's why I posted the mirror. But later on I stumbled upon it. The developer's site is http://exigocs.com you can also download TinyShark Downloader from there.
It's no longer available on Play Store, but I downloaded it shortly after I got Android. I then discovered soon after it was removed from Play Store, so it has since lived on my sdcard with TitaniumBackup, since I did a lot of ROM flashing.
Despite not being updated for over a year, it works great on Jelly Bean , and is still is one of the best Grooveshark apps for android I've ever tried, with playlists, offline cache option, and more.
With offline cache, you can effectively use this as a mobile Grooveshark downloader. It dumps the songs into sdcard/tinyshark_songs/ where they have id3 tags, but are just named a bunch of numbers. You could cache them 1 at a time, then go there and rename the file to whatever you want, or you could just copy to your PC and use software to use id3 to name the files.
Here is the original description:
Listen to Grooveshark on your Android device for FREE.
- Search the Grooveshark database
- Import Grooveshark playlists
- Play individual songs or an entire playlist
- Cache songs for offline playback
Does NOT require Adobe Flash to play music (Settings -> Use Flash Player). TinyShark now does not need Flash for music playback, but it is still an option for those that find it works better.
Starting with version 3.0 a lot has changed under the hood. A lot of fixes are being made so check for updates often. If you are having problems try reinstalling and create a new shortcut in your launcher. If you are still having issues please email details and send any crash reports you can.
Thanks to everyone that's been emailing!
To download songs try Tinyshark Downloader also available in the market.
Taken from:
http://www.bestappsmarket.com/p/app?appId=8894&title=tinyshark
It really works much better with "Use Flash Player" unchecked. [You have to do that to enable Offline Cache]
The app id is com.exigo.tiny

Edit: my bad downloaded via phone but showed as zip. Working fine via PC.
Thanks for sharing!
Not connecting
I am experiencing some problems during the last month with this amazing app. It doesn't connect, when i try to connect i can see the 'connecting...' with the yellow light, but in a few seconds becomes again 'Disconnected' with the red light. Is it just me or this app is not working now?
I am having the same issue as well.
Try using tinytunes app from play store.
It's from the same developer but not related to grooveshark
It's pretty good.
As I am a new user I am not able to paste the link.

SOLVED: Settings > Playback Controller > HTML5 instead of FLASH

If you guys are having issues with 3.1.5 you need to first uninstall 3.1.5 and then update to 3.1.7 found on their website http://exigocs.com/. If you still have problems download and install tiny shark downloader.

I would consider this app *warez* for the fact it is used to steal music off a site that is know for being borderline legal anyways. There is a reason Google removed it from Play.
Just sayin.
Also, buy the music you like. Support your artists

Sadly, by buying music you're supporting the music industry (RIAA). By going to concerts you're supporting the artists.

Not the artists I listen to. I buy direct from them or their independent label.
If your music is controlled by the RIAA then you need to stop listening to USA Top 40 and go out and find real music.
Either way is better then supporting this app.
But back to why I brought this up, if XDA allows this app then why not all the other MP3 downloaders in the play Store?
Mod maybe answer?

How to setup squid Proxy for tinyshark for streaming?
Somehow my T-Mobile connection seems to be blocking the tinyshark connection. Whenever I use the T-Mo data connection, my tinyshark would immediately show disconnected.
I managed to setup a squid server so that it now shows "connected" ( squid log says TCP_HIT/200 1495 GET http://grooveshark.com/crossdomain.xml - NONE/- text/xml )
But the songs are not streaming...
Anyone has experience setting up squid for tinyshark that could share some insight?
Thanks!

So I recently got a Nexus 7 and I love my device. The only annoying part is I don't get to play with it during my working hours I figured maybe I could change that by using it as a visualizer for the music I play on my PC (linux), ie. Audio Glow but with a remote audio source.
So far I've been unable to find any solution that would actually let me do this though. I could play music on my android device instead but this is not ideal as it's not as easy to quickly press pause and many music services will charge you if you want to use them on a mobile device.
So I resort to XDA, does anyone know of any methods to do this or can I possibly kindle someones developer enthusiasm with this idea?
Thanks

The only thing I can think of is maybe xbmc installed on your Linux box then one of the android remotes that's available from the play store.
