Hi guys,
I have a strange behavior with my Dock SD: After some time, when the screen of the tablet is turned off, it will simply unmount anything connected to the dock. (SD, or also a USB key).
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
Thanks for any advice!

For a couple of weeks already my phones been doing a couple of things.. freezing randomly, unable to wake up randomly (black screen) after pressing power button but haptic controls are all lit up, and sometimes popsup saying USB storage unexpectedly removed and then freezing shortly after! Tried fastboot oem lock and unlock and flashing a few different roms but to no avail....
Help needed!!! Don't really know whats happening
did you install any app or widget that automatically mounts the internal SD as a usb drive?
Not that I can think of no... what kind of app would mount the internal SD as a USB drive??!
too many to list
but if you don't know it most likely the answer is no
however the phone comes build in with the feature to mount usb, when you slide down the notification screen and select mount
there is a hardware problem who many users experience with nexus s

I have the external keyboard, the tf500 one I believe and it has quit working. The tablet does not recognize it as being attached even though it can be charged from it. The sd card slot can be read and the docks charging light will turn on when plugged in. None of the buttons or touch pad work and under the system options menu it tells me that no MobileDock was found. I tried resetting, repeated unplugging, app uninstalling, system is up to date etc.
If you can think of something to try let me know or else I will have to return it to New egg or Asus. I have only had it for a few weeks...
Sorry if I've missed this discussion somewhere - i'm sure it's not an uncommon issue.
Watching videos a fair bit on the TF300T these days while travelling and not having access to my main PC. Have been watching from a USB flash drive plugged in to the dock.
When pausing a video, the screen time out turns the dock off, thus unpowering the USB port. This wouldnt be a problem except upon powering back on the stick doesn't remount properly, it shows mounted but blank. The only way to resolve this is to either a)reboot b) manually unmount and remount in settings.
Any way to keep the dock powered while screen is off? Or any other suggestions - the only other way I can think of is to put files on the tablet micro SD card, would rather not have to do this.

Have you tried unchecking Settings-->ASUS customised settings-->MobileDock Battery saving mode?
Hope this helped.
Live long and prosper.
If I have helped you in any way, shape or form, hit the thanks button. If I have given you a link to someone on XDA that helped you, give them thanks first.
Shouldve said I'm running latest cm nightly, unsure where to find a similar setting there

I'm running Katkiss JB4.3 and outputting to an external monitor.
I'd like the external display to stay on when I close the dock. At the moment closing the dock and screen puts the device into standby and locks the screen.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

i'm looking for the same thing, what i'm doing atm it to undock it and lie it screen down.
does anyone know if the screen screen off from a proximity sensor or from wires in the hinge?
When I get some free time I will look into it another option is to keep it open and turn the backlight off.
Hi! I think my question could be a bit weird... Why? I need to disable the oficial AOSP battery saver for USB OTG connections, because I would use my tablet for testing with VNC full Linux instalations; then, when the screen shuts down, the PenDrive USB Stick that is being used as hard drive with loop files, shuts down, and not comes back unless I unlock the device or wake up the screen.
¿Can anyone help me please? :highfive:
NOTE: Also tried /sys/bus/usb/devices/(all of these, one by one)/power/autosuspend_delay_ms setting it as -1 when the original was 0.
