[Q] Saved Titanium Backup to computer now I don't know how to restore following wipe - General Questions and Answers

I backed everything up after I rooted my T-Mobile S3 with Titanium Backup to my computer and now that I for some other reason did a clean wipe and now I just set up my phone on stock again and re rooted it and installed Titanium Backup.I moved the backup from my computer back to my phone but now I can't restore the backup. How do I restore my backup?

Can you find all the backuped stuffs in titanium backup?

Yeah, you need to put the files in the right directory and folder, so titanium can find them easlily.

Or will creating a new backup overwrite that one?

Titanium Backups all I need?

So I tried making a nandroid backup today and it said it failed to make a backup image of my data. So I have a titanium backup as well of all my apps, so if I have that do I necessarily need a nandroid backup as well?

It's your choice
nandroid backup is a backup of all data in internal storage so it includes the rom but if you only backup with titanium backup, it will only backup your apps and data
if you want to try other rom you can use nandroid backup to restore to previous rom if you like the previous rom than the newer
and if you want to change rom and doesn't think to change to previous rom you don't need to do nandroid back you can use titanium backup
and don't forget to have enough space in sdcard, nandroid backup use about 300+ MB storage

stock rom

I lost my wifi when i rooted and can not find a fix. If i install the stock rom for my sch-i905 on this site, will i lose my installed apps if i use app backup and restore. If yes, can i move the backed up apps file to my computer, reinstall the backup and restore app, move the backed up file back to tab and restore?

The backup files are stored on the SD card which is not wiped during that process. You don't need to move them (unless you really want to ).

[Q] Need help moving "Titanium Backup" backups to a separate phone

Ok, so here's the deal. I just bought a GS3 coming from a Inspire 4G and I used Titanium Backup to back up all my .apks and their data. I installed Titanium Backup onto the S3 and moved the data from the external SD to the internal memory where the Titanium Backup folder was created for the S3. But the problem is the apps aren't showing up in Titanium Backup where I can reinstall them. Even if I install the app then open Titanium Backup to see if it recognizes the backup now that the app is on the phone I still get nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Restoring backup through Tibackup (sms/xml file)

So i had made a backup for my dad in his s duos through super backup and backed his apps, call logs and sms, then i got him upgraded to the grand duos, now on the grand duos, i realized the backups can only recognize the same device they were backed on, now my s duos was factory reset so that sucked, so moving on, i put on root and went into titanium backup, from there i tried to restore the xml files through dropbox and that only gets me a notification from tibackup saying it failed, what can i do to get these backups restored? and if anyone has a solution for the apks and data back up too, please share it with me..
Re-install titanium back and while opening the app for the first time it will ask that the Android id doesnt match and needs reboot Press yes after reboot you will be able to flash your files.Hope it helps
Problem is I factory reset the s duos on which I made the backup through super backup and put my mstick in the grand, the only problem is why is it that whenever I restore the file through Ti it fails, when it says it can restore any xml file :/
