Hello everybody at xda. My name is George and I'm fairly new to android hacking and such. It's been a month since I rooted my first phone (Samsung galaxy y) I found there was very limited custom ROMs but nevertheless was proud of what I had done. Since then, I have rooted a galaxy s gt I 9000 and have installed CM 11 nightly. It was fairly simple. I rooted my dad's lg optimus 4xhd p880. When I tried to install CWM recovery my dad's phone got an error report when trying to boot. (On the lg logo it had tiny red writing at the top.) After researching I discovered we hadn't unlocked his boot loader and trying to flash CWM had soft bricked. We ran the phone in SW mode by holding vol down with the battery out and connecting a USB to the computer. Then with lg tools flashed the stock recovery back. After that we unlocked the boot loader with a BL unlock .exe found on xda and BINGO!! I flashed CWM 6.0.4.4 touch on (because it's the only one that will flash 4.4+ kitkat ROMs in this device) and now it's flashed with beanstalks 4.4.2 ROM. It's totally amazing. I've also rooted a galaxy s3 mini gt I 8190n and flashed dmod on it witch is an OK rom. As much as I love rooting and stuff I don't have any more devices so I was hoping for some feedback and ideas of what I can do next!

i,ve samsung SCH-R910 MetroPCS phone , so i install CWM on it and backup everything , and then tried to install custom rom , and i get epic 4g cyanogenmod rom and when it begin to install the phone is rebooted into CWM and never get back my old OS i tried to reboot many times but still booted into CWM also i restore the original OS that i backed up before and it completed successfully but when rebooting the phone still booted into CWM ,
can anyone please help me just to return to the original rom or any custom rom
i need my phone just to work now i really stuck here please help me

I have a similar problem install CWM and make a backup, install CyanogenMod uns as not connected to the network restore the backup, now does not start and not let me get into Recovery, only stays on the screen for samsung mobile, please help.
There isn't cyanogen for the indulge, best I've found for this device is was a custom rom and kernel made by Konane posted on android forums all things root subsection for the indulge. Seems dev is dead for the device tho as it was posted last year and no new updates to it which are needed because it seems metro found a way to void some of the great improvements made.

I got a problem I am stuck in a boot loop with my Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus (GT-S7500). I updated my software because a message popped up with: 'There are software updates for your phone' So I as a new rooter updated it and now when I try to boot my phone it goes to the ClockWorkMod and I searched on the forum and I tried a lot of stuff and it didn't work. (I rooted with Odin, thought this could be useful)
I think when you updated your phone you or the software bricked it. Hence it is having a bootloop. If you can, i would recommend you to get a latest -STOCK firmware for your device and flash it with Odin.
P.S. Use Stock rom and Odin ONLY(atleast for now) because if you use another method or non-stock rom/custom rom, it might brick your phone even badly.

I have a galaxy s4 gt-i9500 just upgraded to jelly bean 4.3. I rooted with it Christmas autoroute using Odin. It all went well but I noticed that while rebooting it doesn't shows that Android is upgrading like what I used to see when I rooted it while it running Android 4.2.2.
Also when I checked it using root checker the message "Please wait for root checker to complete. The system seems running very slow." I wait for quite a long time and then it showed that the rooting is failed.
What did I go wrong?? I tried it several times but still the same. Any help.!!
You could boot it into fastboot mode, flash CWM or TWRP and flash a custom ROM
Due to Knox sometimes the root process doesn't work straight away. I had to flash it a couple of times and then it went through.

I'm somewhat new to all this rooting, unrooting, and custom rom flashing thing. I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 I747. I flashed a custom rom, which is now 4.3. Just one of the issues that I have, and hopefully someone here can remedy this for me, is that booting into custom recovery is pretty much stuck as far as I'm concerned. I've been booting into custom recovery many times with TWRP with no problems. Only now, the top left corner of the screen says, "booting recovery", and stays there. Normally, it's only there for a split second, then you can let the volume+, home button, and power button go. This time, the screen stays stuck forever like that alongside with the Samsung logo lit up in the middle. Maybe it's something I did and missed it. Anyone have any suggestions on how this can be fixed?

You could try installing recovery again....and root if needed.

Hi guys so to stay with long story short:
I got a tablet - samsung gt-p5210 -already rooted with twrp already installed. I wanted to unroot it and to go to the initial state and i tried to flash stock ROM, resources found here, trough twrp(sd card) cuz with odin is impossîble, beacause of unrecognised usb(trust me i tried absolutely everything from tablet to pc and back and forth until the same result).
So after the flash I got bootlooping so again I tried everything and it has to bootlop just to annoy me.After a bit more research I found that if the device is rooted and I go flash a stock ROM is the reason for the bootloop so now I am stuck and I beg you for any advice.
