DOOGEE - Android General

i am looking into this name brand "DOOGEE" as a cheap way to get into the game (unless you can help me unhardbrick a S4,yeah ouch)
they have seemingly amazing deals, yet i am not finding a chat forum anywhere on the nets for them
this is a list of thier phones ( doogee.cc/en/gb/products.asp?cid=32 ) i am looking at the dg500 because of financial reasons
i figure if i could drop 350 i'd just get another S4 (which is what i want) but i just dropped 350 on the one i got, right before it bricked
SO ! anyone with knowledge as to where i can find a doogee chat forum (preferably with modding a highpoint) PLEAS link it for me!!!

On the Dutch website Tweakers.net a few people already got Doogee phones and to me it looks like a good brand when you want a bang for buck Chinese smartphone with an mt6582 chipset.
On the moment the DOOGEE PIXELS DG350 is on presale by Focalprice and I bought one for € 71,30 and that's a really good price for such a phone. And this brand seems to sponsor a Spanish football club orso. But ofcourse its a small brand, just like UMI, Jiayu, iNew, iOcean, etc and some off these brands sell the same phone, but then rebranded.

Tablets Online Store Review: HOTMID.com | 10/10 Service!

Hello,
I would like to thanks HOTMID.com and especially Tony who has given me top notch professional service from the order point and up to delivery and after sale point.
Extremely professional sales and customer service always fast and polite even when you have 1000 questions to ask!
I have ordered an tablet from them but for some reasons I felt discomfort with the model I ordered and week later I decided return it. I shipped them back the device and got full refund for the device, for the dock and for the DHL shipping!
Extremely happy and for sure will be repeating customer of this amazing guys!
PS; They have Asus transformer and many other branded models as well as the T2 (GTAB with 3G), Samsung Tablets at amazing rates and dozens of other great products. If you need true service and support. Go with HOTMID.com you won't be sorry!
Anyone else bought from this site ? i want to buy Huawei Ascend D1 or Xiomi m2 when start selling. should i trust this site ?
worst site!
I ordered 2 tablets for the first time from this site the service was nothing like described above
I paid for express shipping and took them 8 days to show up at dhl (yes it was in stock)
when i tried contacting them I got info that was of no use at all
so i tried contacting them again (3 mails in total) and they just ignored me
the tablets still need to arrive but I know for sure that I will never order from this site again!
I found the tablets i wanted for 10 dollars cheaper then the other Chinese sites so I ordered it here....
looking back on it it wasn't worth the 10 dollar less I never experienced any site this bad
I regularly order something from dx.com which is far from perfect and even they are a lot better and faster ( just to comparing Chinese sites)
example:
when something goes wrong on dx (or a lot of the other Chinese sites) you can even live chat with a employee
this site however refused to do anything about the situation at all and almost denied that I paid for express shipping!
conclusion:
well if u see a product on this site that you really wan't and cant buy elsewhere fore a similar price you can order it here but don't pay extra for the express shipping because its a rip of, but I strongly recommend buying your stuff elsewhere
High Prices
Hi,
I just left their site: http://hotmid.com/ , their prices seem to be WAY out of line. I recently purchased my new Lenovo IdeaPad A2109A @ my nearby Best Buy store for $ 249.00, and as you can see here : http://hotmid.com/android-tablets/lenovo.html the same model is $ 329.00 on their site. It DOES pay to compare !!

Best Sim-Free phone for under £200

Hi guys,
Having a look through the likes of Tech Radar and Engadget, every so often you see good spec Android phones such as the Xiaomi Phone 2 or Pantech discover for around £200 (or $350).
Anyway EE have given me an amazing sim-only deal for £8.00 per month and for all my 2+ year old HTD Desire HD is still working, i imagine it won't be long before its needing replaced.
So, anyone recommend any good spec Android phones that will operate in the UK for around £200, similar specs to the new I've mentioned above..?
:good:

[Q] Fastcardtech or chinavasion?

Hello everyone, new guy here but oldie at coming at this page. I have a question regarding fastcardtech, it's a website that sells chinese phone clones and other ''legit'' chinese brands. I have never used it to shop there but I saw a zopo ZP990 for like $266 compared to chinavasion which has it at $380 including the S&H. I have NEVER used fastcardtech but have heard a LOT of negative feedback from the costumers. On the other hand I have bought A LOT of stuff from chinavasion and they have great costumer service IMO and I have never had a problem with them but I have also heard a lot of bad stuff from chinavasion.
Is fastcardtech safe? not bad like many people say? Should I give it a go? I really dont know why the difference in price from both websites. I think fastcardtech maybe selling a clone and not the original zopo ZP990. I know with chinavasion I will get a good product and support but at $380 it's out of my range. Anyone got any personal experience with fastcardtech that can give me a heads up?

Which cheap chinese phones has big XDA community?

So my OPO died that month and after a unsuccessful repair I am now in need of a new phone. As my budget is rather small, I'l want to buy one the cheap chinese phone in the category of around 150-200$. I have mainly looked at Redmi Note 4 which looks like great value, but the (XDA) community around it is pretty small, there are almost no development at all on the phone and that is a bummer for me.
So what phone should I buy for 150-200$ and that as lot's of development on roms and kernels here on XDA?
Also on this! Following. But my range is lower, for my sales team, i need 100,00 price range. If anyone can sugest maker/model. the only use will for sales using gmail, whatsapp and dropbox. They are inside team, size don't matter. New models prefered.

Help me pick an android (previous iPhone user)

Hey guys,
So I'm thinking about getting a new mid range phone, and while I asked earlier on this subreddit about a Xiaomi phone, I got the feeling that most people would rather go after another phone as a budget phone. I have stumpled upoen the Huawei M10 Lite, Motorola G6 Play and even the Huawei P20 lite, but wonder if I should pick any of those, or even another phone as a mid range phone?
Now the story: I have an iPhone 6S, which is more or less dead. The antenna is garbage (even worse than my GF's, which also have an 6S, so my phone is somewhat damaged apparently), and the battery life is not what its used to be, and since I am done with expensive phones (which is why I go for a mid range Android), I was thinking about getting a new one. The Android market is a little more complext than the iPhone market, since theres usually 2-3 iPhone models that comes out every year, which make the choice easier, but the Android market is a jungle for someone who doesn't really know the market well. The reason I've chosen M10 Lite, G6 Play and Huawei p20 Lite as choices is because the budget doesnt break my bank, and even though they all have flaws, they seem like good phones for the price. I live in Denmark, where prices are somewhat high on the phones. Right now most of them are on sale, and the prices range like this:
Huawei M10 Lite : 266 USD (On Sale, normal price 313 USD) Moto G6 Play: 235 USD Huawei P20 Lite: 360 USD (On Sale, normal price (438)
What's important for me is a phone thats not sluggish, and has a decent camera. I know these mid range phones has pretty bad cameras, with some better than other. But none of them can match my iphone 6S in that regard.
Are any of these phones worth it, or is it worth digging up an old flagship from the previous years, and in which case, which one?
Hi! We have a dedicated thread for these types of questions, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620179
So I'll close this one. Good luck! :good:
