I'm looking for a music app like Samsung's music player for the sole purpose of Music Squares. Is there any other music app that has something like Music Squares where you can choose the type of music you want to listen to (passionate, calm, excited, ect) and it will make a playlist? Or is it possible to flash an apk of Samsung's music app?

With the iphone, I could add videos to my music playlist. I cannot find a similar app for my nexus one. I don't really want to keep a mp3 for my playlist AND the mp4 video of the same song. Does anyone know a fix?

Try meridian player on the market, for free, I handles videos and music playlists..unless you're looking to play videos files and music files at the same time..not sure possible!
Yeah, I mean at the same time. On the iphone, I could add a video to my music playlist. It would still play the video selected, like a song, with the screen turned off. I can't seem to find one that can do that on the nexus one.
I know MixZing and Meridian all play both music and video so you could try each to see if they work. There's a third that was on my mind but I can't remember that also plays both, maybe it was Zimly? I forgot now.
Hello
Sorry for a possibly "silly" question : I've installed Zimly and
can't find out where are stored the files, the library etc
could you please help me ?
J.
I have meridian installed. I like it for music because the buttons on my bluetooth headset work with it. I realized that when I put a shortcut on the screen for a music playlist, it uses the default music player to play it. Is there a way to change this so that meridian is the default player for the music playlist?
There's two apps for playing music: Music Player and Play Music. I know that Play Music is a Google thing. Is Music Player a standard android app or is it only available on Samsung products?
I'm asking because I'm trying to backup playlists using an app called Playlist Backup. For some reason, Music Player appears to get things in reverse order when Playlist Backup saves and restores the playlists. I'd like to ask the developer for a "feature" that would reverse the order but I don't know if he/she would have access to Music Player. I also don't know if its a Music Player or Playlist Backup "problem".
Thanks

Music Player is Samsung's default music app. I don't think Android has a default music app now that I think about it...You can also control Music Player with voice commands if you enable it in the S Voice settings.
When I try to find a music player which have shake-to-swtich function and contain no
uneccessay functions,I only can find some with advertisement banner. Or It contains
a lot of useless functions like music visualization, lyrices and etc. After a long
period of searching, I finally find a suitable music player. However, when I was listening
music on the street, the music player will always shake-to-swithc music when I was walking:crying:.
It is very annoying. Lastly, rather than waiting for a suitable music player, I try to make
my own music player. So, Terse music play is born.:highfive:
Hope you guys enjoy it!
:good:hhttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmac.music
Idea with shaking is interesting, and UI is neat
But it's way too minimal: no playlists, grouping by artist or album, and album arts. Also, notification while playing is not a native player notification, so it doesn't shows up on a lockscreen
I currently use samsung music player, but will switch players if I must.
I listen to one type of music while driving and a different at work and maybe a third while exercising or relaxing. So I am looking for a way to put a few of my playlists on the homescreen as shortcuts. Then when I click the playlist shortcut, the music player app will open and start playing that playlist. Is this possible?
Any help would be appreciated.
