Hi, I am a noob
I downloaded an apk file.
I extracted the source code from it by the methods provided on the net.
I want ot learn the coding of the app..
On extracting and importing into the adt it does not shows errors but when i upload the same app on the phone it crashes "unfortunatly the app stopped working"
I am a newbie and i want to learn the code and so if i get the correct code i will be learn it faster..
Is there any reason why the app doesnt start.
Is it because we cannot extract the code properly from the app??
Thanks..
I want to kwon how this app is coded

for that i want to check the source code files

I've done a lot of searching for how to odex an apk and the only way I could find involves downloading a binary called "dexopt-wrapper" from a file host or attachment. I don't think it's a really good idea to run unverified binaries downloaded from the internet as root ...
Does anyone know where this program comes from, if the source code is available or how to build it?
Is there any way to create an odex using AOSP tools? I know there is a file in AOSP called /system/bin/dexopt but I can't figure out how to use it.
Sorry if noob question, I just beginner. I need to play app on PC but I have known this app detect file name "system/lib/egl/libGLESv1_CM_emulation.so". I try to change this file name but this file is used form other files(libEGL_emulation.so,libGLESv2_emulation.so) and I don't have source code of those files. Could I have source code of "libEGL_emulation.so","libGLESv1_CM_emulation.so" and "libGLESv2_emulation.so" or anyone have other libGL that can run on virtual box, Send me, please.
Hello guys,
I am modding an apk to bypass an update check.
I have this outdated APK that functions fine since the URL and query and site address remains same but whenever it checks for and update it crashes. The thing is the developer made it topnotch but since then left and his site was recently taken down so check update query crashes it totally. What I need to do is update just the one function where it brings up the GUI after start. Otherwise it keeps saying download update or crashes randomly at time of starting up.
Now I have been browsing for a day or two for all the tutorials and right now I`m hell lot of confused. I have downloaded many tools and dependencies but I dont know how to proceed. I will tell you guys what I have and what I need.
I have de-compiled the APK using "dex2jar", I had a .JAR file which I decomplied using JD-GUI-Windows now after saving source I have .ZIP file in which I made the necessary editing. Next I downlaoded APKTool.JAR and extracted resource files and XML files that can be read in text editor. Along with some .SMALI files.
Now I am not familier with SMALI language at all and editing in it seems rather complicated and on the other side I have the .JAR file that decomlied all the classes just fine.
MY QUESTION IS:
How do I recompile the files I have ? I have the main coding extraced using dex2jar so in java format and JD-Gui to in .ZIP files, and resources/XML files also decoded using APKTools. What do I do next to recompile the APK ?
In short I have plain text based java source code and plain text XML and other resource file. How do I recompile it ?
Hi everyone,
I already searched the web for tutos, tried different online converters and tried it with FlashDevelop - not getting anywhere. Can you tell me, how a swf file can be turned into a apk file?
Please answer me.
I don't think you can convert directly an SWF file into an APK. An SWF file is the output format used by Adobe Flash and APK is the package format for an Android app. Your best chance is, if you have the source code, to use Adobe Air to export it as an Android App (i am not sure if this is still supported, you used to be able to do it).
Hi ncdude,
thank you for your answer. I can get code from this swf file using JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler. But I don't know if that represents the source code. I tried to paste that code in various android apps who promise to build an apk file. That also didn't work.
Could someone help me if I upload the extracted code or the the swf file?

Hello! Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this I just registered to the forum!
To keep it short I am a frequent player of the game 'Idle Heroes' and I got the idea to take the APK, modify it (for private use of course) and give me resources in the game so I can try out different heroes etc etc.
So I read up on the APKtool and all that but I am having some trouble, I can't find the framework I need.. I am just getting errors when trying to decompile and I can't find any framwork in my phone or online to download..
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
If it's any help I have a Galaxy S9 (not rooted)
For apk tool you need to write it in the following format in command prompt... (assuming you are using apk tool 2.2.4)
Java –jar apktool_2.2.4.jar d C:\<path to apk file>
But this would give you stuff like the android manifest. If you want the raw source code itself, you would need to use something such as dex2jar. Format is below.
d2j-dex2jar.bat C:\<path to apk file>

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I'm still struggling.. As you said it's the source code I am after. If you haven't played the game I'll try to explain what I am after.
Every day you get daily missions you can do, I'd like to simply change the rewards from let's say 1 summoning scroll to 1000 so that each day I can get 1000 scrolls, and I also want to change the other rewards to give me a couple of thousand gems instead of the 20 I get each day, that will give me enough to get the heroes I am after!
Would you care to help me a little more specifically on how to achieve this? Right now I have put the .apk in "C:\android\apktool" along with the apktool itself (apktool.jar).
But I don't have a .bat file, what kind of .bat file do I want to create? Also I don't have any other folders or such. And yes I have the newest version of Apktool!
No matter what I write in CMD it gives me an error, I don't have any framework files etc and I don't know where to get them.. I did also use the code you gave me (java -jar etc etc) but it also gave me errors .. If you'd like me to try something else and/or post the errors here I'd gladly do so!
Sorry for being such a noob but I have never done anything like this before, I recently started learning C++ but it's mainly simple games (for PC) in UE4 and stuff like that, but nothing for mobile.
Thanks a lot for your time!
