I am using Slimkat rom on my Verizon gs3 and I have been experiencing low signal so I thought I will check the baseband... and I am on mb1.... can I flash mf1 on the phone even though I am on kitkat? And if I can...where can I find the link?

Hi. I'm running cm10 8.26 nightly. Since I've flashed the official ROMs (nightlies) the person I call is getting an echo during phone calls. Is this the ROM or something else? Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks

Twice I've flashed 4.2 ROMs and both times they ran good but overnight my phone froze. I had to pull the battery and restore a 4.1 ROM. Anyone else have trouble?

I've never had this issue and I have flashed several different 4.2.1 ROMs. Flashing a kernel along with the ROM by chance? Under clocking or undervolting at all?

No changes. Flashed Liquidsmooth and Black bean.

Been running CM10.1 as a daily driver for about 2 weeks now and haven't had any terrible issues.
I flash using TWRP
Factory Reset
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik
Wipe System
Flash ROM
Flash Gapps
Reboot
Set Up and Go

Question on this...
Do I need to go to a ASOP based 4.1.1 before going to 4.2?

There's no need to flash any prior OS just before you switch to another rom.

Hello flashers anonymous!
Long story short......I flashed an updated kernal for the version I had. It bricked my phone. I odined it back to life. My phone automatically updated itself to 4.1.2, the rom I was running is based on 4.1.1, can someone send me a link for the .tar file I can use with odin to restore my phone back to 4.1.1? I tried to search for it, but I wasent sure which one is the most current version. Thanks everyone.

You have 4.2.1 or 4.1.2?

Follow the "recover from soft brick" directions. There is a 4.1.1 download link on hotfile. Worst case scenario you reflash everything through odin, and lose you root/unlocked bootloader. But that is easy to get back. Something to note is that goo.im is having problems with their servers, so you may have to google the file names on the threads....
ive been looking around for information about updating the bootloader in my S3....its unlocked but it doesn't seem to want to flash the latest roms and from what ive been reading it seems the bootloader is the issue
any help would be appreciated
Um you can't update the bootloader on the S3. Maybe you meant recovery? Certain recoveries in the past had issues flashing stuff. Go grab GooManager and update TWRP using that app. Maybe that will fix your issue.

You can update the bootloader, can you link the thread that suggests that? Usually it isn't needed to run custom roms.

I would be interested in seeing a VZW GS3 bootloader image. Pretty sure none exist

I'm pretty sure there's only one version of the unlocked boot loader.

I had an HTC phone and I could flash radios. Can the same be done with the S3?
Note that the bootloader is unlocked.
And if so, does anyone know where I can get the latest radio from the I535VRUCML1 update?

Now I'm confused.
It says to not flash anything but then gives links to them and recommends to flash one. :what:

Definitely doesn't say that.
It says do not flash an ml1 firmware package. He says specifically to flash the latest mf1 firmware package, then flash the ml1 radio only. It's a little confusing, so make sure you understand it before you flash anything.

So right now I'm rooted with BMB1.
Basically flash the MF1 radio and then flash the ML1 radio, rather than just jumping from BMB1 straight into ML1?
Sorry man, I'm just still confused on what it's saying.

This is my comprehension...
I'm on MB1 still.
So I must go here and flash MF1 for D2VZW:
http://invisiblek.org/d2firmware.html
Then go here: http://invisiblek.org/sch-i535/modems/d2vzw_ML1_modem.zip
and the ML1 radio should start downloading... then flash it?
Both of these are good to flash in recovery without any wipes.
Is this correct? Lol.

It doesn't matter what ROM I'm on while flashing either of these files does it?
I'm currently on LiquidSmooth 3.0 nightly... android 4.4.

As long as the rom is kit kat based then you are fine.
