That's it? Hold the power for 15 seconds and then try to get into fastboot.

That helped!
Note that fastboot is just power & volume down.
Not both volume buttons

Note that if your phone turned off, just hold down only volume down key and connect usb cable then your phone goes to fastboot as well

Actually, holding both vol's and power will get you into the bootloader too. Seems there are two bootloaders.

Take the battery out, hold volume down and press power holding volume still
Pull out battery and replace. Then hold vol down button in and switch phone on. Otherwise go to Settings/Power and untick Fastboot. Then switch phone off, hold in vol down and switch on again.

I have been using revolution for some time. I recently downloaded the current version. When I tried to get to the bootloader, (vol up/power), the phone vibrates 3 times and the yellow light blinks.
I have to remove the battery to re-boot the phone.
any suggestions?
thank you!

That's because its volume down + power. Volume up takes you to Qualcomm mode.

Not sure. I just heard attn1 refer to it as such. Probably a secret HTC debug mode. If you plug your phone into pc in this mode it installs a different driver than usual.

Hi @ all,
after failed attempt to restore a backup ("can't not mount system"), my Nexus S won't start anymore...
Biggest problem: The power button is broken! :/ that means I cannot get in recovery, or even in download or bootloader mode!
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this, or at least get the data from the internal USB storage?
Really grateful for any help ...
Install quick boot from playstore, your phone must be rooted.

The Phone is rooted, but won't start anymore... It remains on the google sign at startup :/
No problem. Boot into recovery by pressing volume and power button. Install your ROM.zip from recovery menu

Can you access adb? If so just type "adb reboot recovery" or something like that

adb recognize the nexus (listed after "adb devices"), but as 'offline'...
Is there a chance to get the device 'online' by adb?
Have you tried to connect it and then tried to reboot. If theres any usable connection the PC should do something during boot..

Better yet, where did you put it?
You must be pressing the buttons wrong. Hold volume down, then turn on the device and release power like normal.

well, what it sounds like you flashed isnt a boot animation. no boot animation would do this to your phone(unless its coincidence that it happened after flashing a boot animation. could you link us to the file that you flashed please. ill download and open it, see what it was that you actually flashed.
