I have decided to make my own port of CM10.1 for the ZTE Blade G but will not fully release it until it starts performing well. Until that moment you can still use the hungariandroid one from this thread.

So the guys over there at the hungarian android forums ported CM10.1 for the ZTE Blade G and all credit goes to them.

Known bugs:
Camcorder - probably encoding problems; might work using a third party app called "Videocam Illusion".
Mobile data - I don't really understand why this won't work. Several APN settings have been tried but the phone doesn't even bother to send connection requests to the service providers' servers. I am suspecting that it has to do something with our phone showing its baseband as unknown, despite the IMEI being recognized, but I can't get the hang of it

Nope. Blade V has a different chipset and thus a different kernel. This port is made to work with the stock kernel for blade G.
But I am actually pretty suprised that there are no custom ROMs for the Blade V considering the fact that ZTE has released its kernel sources (as opposed to the blade G, damn them).

I wanna report something. Your work also appreciated, but in fact, you aren't the developer of this ROM. My friend has been working on it for a long time now, and he was, who got CM10.1 working on this device. In the attachments, I included a screenshot. As you can see there, the build place is keeperv85's PC, the person, who made this ROM: http://mobilarena.hu/tag/keeperv85.html So, instead of setting this ROM up as your work, you should give a credit at least for this guy.

I believe I've given appropriate credit in the original post and linked to his ROM. I am working on my own build but I never said that this is a ROM made by me and have specificaly stated that this is the version from hungariandroid, so I don't really understand what you want from me?

I just wanted to say, that you should gave a credit for the original poster. But no matter, this is your decision, but naming this ROM as your "own port" is a bit more, than enough in my opinion.
Oh I see. You misunderstood my statement. I said that I started working on my own port, not that this is my own port. If you have just read the sentence to its end, you would've realized that I am actually pointing out that the ROM in this thread is the hungariandroid forums one, bulit by keeperv85

I have 8gb card and only 1.5gb inside memory.
when i install some games they goes to phone memory.
is that an option to do 8gb card as main memory ?
You can move your apps to the sd card or simply edit vold.fstab in the "system" folder where near the end of the file you will see something like mount sdcard and mount sdcard2, simply swap their places (write sdcard2 where sdcard is written and vice versa). That will mount your external sd card as internal.

Download MIUI for Defy 1.10.8
No Data Wipe Install
This method assumes you already have MIUI and want to upgrade to a newer version without wiping all your data and apps.
1. Download Latest MIUI rom.
2. Boot into Custom Recovery.
3. Choose Install .zip from SD Card, select MIUI rom .zip.
4. Select "Wipe Cache" then go to Advanced and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Reboot.
How To Install from Scratch
If you have 2nd Init installed already skip to step 3, if not start at step 1. These steps assume you already have flashed the Nordic Froyo rom to your Defy.
1. Download Defy 2nd init installer, easiest way is from market.
2. Run the 2nd init installer following the instructions closely.
3. Boot into Custom BootMenu by pressing volume down when device flashes a blue led at bootup. Set default boot mode to 2nd init.
4. Select Recovery, Custom Recovery. Choose "Wipe Data/Cache" option and next select "Wipe Cache" then go to Advanced and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache".
5. Choose Install .zip from SD Card, select MIUI rom .zip.

@ifu there are two threads besides this one. There is one for the miui.us release and another one for the miuiandorid. Since Ephu decided to sell his Defy and to move to DHD the miuiandroid OP was no longer updated... so there is nothing wrong to have a new topic which will keep alive here on xda the miuiandroid version. my 2cents.
Back to MIUI topic. I saw the Defy update wasn't yet released through OTA.
I think its fine as long as its updated regularly. We could post any bugs in the new roms here

What kind of troubles? For me it's working fine. The only downside is I have to swipe the screen first (swipe up generally), otherwise it will only blink once, but this I suppose it's the expected behavior.

Happened to me today and I had to cancel the file download which started automatically. I guess the OTA "server" or the updater app are not properly set-up. Maybe Mark or someone from miuiandroid can have a look. Since I didn't noticed any miuiandroid dev here on XDA I guess we have to contact them using their forum/blog.

I actually bought a HD2, broke it within a week and ended up buying a cheap x10i! Miss my Defy but just riding it out until my upgrade in February!
I see nothing wrong with a new topic either although copying my exact wording/instructions and posting it as his own is a little naughty

How did you break your hd2. Being an miuiandroid user take it your in the UK. I fix things so might be able to get that hd2 fixed so you can sell it for a defy lol

I use this ROM and Kernel for about 15 days and i can say that is the most battery friendly.
About speed - the same as Promethius. You can see the benchmarks in the thread by me.
3D Max has 1Gb ram but P920 only 512Mb ram. So this rom battery life better than stock rom?

1. first you SHOULD HAVE the CWM installed. search in the forum how to do that.
2. after that you should download the Acura moded one form here

4. flash the ZIP file with the CWM
5. Reboot
if you want to come back to the original CWM do the same but with the link for the original CWM in the fist post.

I have wifi and bluetooth but no network and when i'm trying to list all the operators, i'm getting an error than connection is impossible now and i need to try again later.

I noticed since I've had that issue on a few roms (p925g running 920 roms) that you just need to swap up the kernels, I've thiai v0.5 on it and i've got no issues, I did have a few issues with Blue Kernel on this rom as it locked up a few times, that being version 1.19, haven't tried 1.20. Trial and error really. Works great on the p925g (canadian model) I lost over clock on the thiai kernel though, Kernel was from the link below:

I have had this rom for a while now (V2). It has been the most stable and fast build. I am going to upgrade now but I think I will stay with this rom until ICS. :-D

Hahaha I noticed a weird glitch, I don't have a dock background usually, however if I turn on wifi and go back to the homescreen I get a dock background.... Don't know if anyone else has noticed this or if for whatever reason it's just me.

Load CWM (we absolutely recommand to use CWM 6.0.1.5 by enox, because the updater-script is layouted for it and we´re able to confirm that it works with it! Other versions of CWM might brick your device or wont even work! Further instructions and downlink you can find here)
Make a nandroid backup, just in case...
After it select "Flash .zip from sdcard" and choose the file, e.g. "RelentlessROM_signed_1.0.zip"
Confirm that you want to flash this file
Wait till it will print a output like "Time to reboot..."
Understandably you have to reboot now

But its just possible after unlocking the bootloader.
Yet, we´re just able to build ROMs based on stock firmwares.
Otherwise the phone wont boot.
So feed us with inspirations and we´ll improve our Relentless ROM

Why i have always problem with blur.service after i install your ext. pack? Im using german .sbf, your Relentles rom and first ext. pack. Now i install updated ext. and shows me this error.
Edit: I solve this with.. flash your rom again, after that flash ext. pack and now works fine.
But why? I already have your rom with ext. pack.. thats strange.
this will not work on the canadian virgin mobile phone in canada with the newest firmware, untill a hack can be done on the phone to be able to let it be rooted.

i have a 8G one sim falcon umts italian carrier
try if you want but execute before a full nandroid backup from TWRP or CWM

There are no Inits working nor is the Thermal Stuff working correctly, and the Device gets fast hot and can be rendered unusable !
I'll ask a Mod to close or delete this here.

dont let them do what they want i m going closed source and yes wont share my builds too learnt alot today being good isnt that good
and yes deleted my device tree go ahead with your soo called development
I know all of this sources you compiled this build from and unless you fixed ( which I doubt ) Thermal control is very, very likely not working properly or not working at all, this is really immature to rush things down like this to say the least
Be careful everyone excited with this build because it can literally burn your devices.

This is the 1st time I've used CTR and so far like it..one thing I've missed with TWRP was batch install, but it's not something you use that frequently though..
Also tried MIUI - still got issues with memory..ColorOS is actually good, but still testing it out and aside from known issues, everything seems to be stable..

I'm using ColorOS..great eyecandy..stable..no issues with Storage and google sync..only downsides: proximity and light and compass and gravity sensors don't work, front cam is bad, videos also bad..

I managed to root it with root genius... frameroot on offical 1.4 won t work for me. another thing is when I root it on 1.4 with root genius it gives ghost touches.
Color os is great but useless without those sensors, looking forward to new release.
I am leaving in area with low signal, is it possible ti improve it, with modem/baseband file? Or some other solution?
There isnt any update for our phone..official ones are buggy, custom ones are better, and looks like we are going to be stuck a little bit..
Camera isnt as good as it looks on paper, and a few reported problems with touch issues..personally i've issues with low speaker volumes with media and notifications/alerts..
Seems not a great phone IMO..
