Anyone ever use a charging pad? - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was told by a VeeZeeDub rep that our phones are supposed to be able to use the charging pads as long as they're of qi compliance... Anyone ever try this? Any special setting on the phone need to be enabled? Got one for Xmas, doesn't seem to be working.

Hmmmm this phone isn't capable of wireless charging...

Yeah, probably not going to work too well for you.

Thanks, looks like I have a return to make...

Update... So I happened to be at the mall, went to the VeeZeeDub store, and asked the rep about the wireless charging. She laughed and said it wasn't possible on our phones, then looked it up and was surprised that it actually is possible, as long as the pad is qi compatible (turns out the droid 4 is as well, she happened to mention as an aside). Stated that I probably had either a bad pad or should try a different brand (stated that the Nokia and LG pads were recommended by Motorola).
Just in case anyone was curious 8)

Umm, I'm pretty sure the phone is not capable of this. Maybe the new droids are, but not the HD.

Lifeasadroid, thanks for checking with VZW about this. I think that they are incorrect, though. The spec sheets for the RAZR HD and HD Maxx don't list inductive charging. All of the articles I found which compare the 2012 and 2013 Droids list wireless charging only for the 2013 models.

photon q in a photon 4g navigation dock?

Just wondering if the PQLTE is compatible with the P4G car dock by Motorola. I see P4G's are running for $21 (and also comes with charger and cables) on Amazon, while the PQ's is running for $48.

I wouldn't think so...I own both phones and the Q has the ports at a different location on the side of the unit...but hey, why use the dock??? Just use the cables, cut the plugs for the USB and HDMI out of the dock and plug them in! Would that work?

I bought the PQ LTE nav dock off ebay.
Funny, looking on the motorola website there is no dock listed for this phone. There are some docks it looks like would work with the phone though. It obviously all depends on the where the ports are located but I think some othe rmoto docks may be interchangable. Hopefully someone more knowledgable can chime in.
The part number of the original 'Vehicle Navigation Dock For Motorola Photon Q' by Motorola is KPM5778Q.
Yes, it's not listed on Motorola pages any more.
I'm using one and I'm very happy with it.

Thanks for the part number I looked for it earlier briefly to no avail.
I have had both phones and can tell you that the original photon and the lte docks look mostly the same but the connectors are in different positions. I think the one for the original was actually a little better constructed too. FYI i just did a search on amazon for photon q car dock and it was there for $50
You don't need to go through Moto to get it anyway....I got mine cheaper through an online retailer. This is the cheapest place I can find it right now via a Google Shopper search:

Droid qi charger, pw-130 ghost one

I just saw that Verizon has another Qi charger for $39.99 w/free shipping. I can't see a manufacturer's name, but for now I'll guess Motorola.
Its called Ghost One, part # PW-130.
It is another flat device like the WCP-300, but it's rectangular and there's nothing in the photo to indicate scale, and nothing to say if it comes with a power adapter. They do say the output is 5V/1A.

Never heard of it. Heres some links to it

Looks like according to the websites: It has a Power adapter, and it's made by Incipio.

Verizon sells the model PW-130, and DROID is written on it, but the WPC site shows that Incipio also makes a model PW-133 (with INCIPIO on it). I didn't see any details about the difference between models, but it might just be that one comes with a power supply and the other doesn't, like buying the WPC-300 from Verizon vs the eBay version.
I'm pretty satisfied with the WPC-300 in my car, but I'm thinking about getting something to use in the house, if I hear about a good price on one that is built into a stand and plays nice with the Nexus 4. I thought about getting one of the really cheap ones to build into a stand but it seems like the N4 has issues with some.

[Q] Powermat/Nexus 5 Chargin

I have a Powermat PMM-1PA that I bought when I got my Sprint HTC EVO 4G when they first came out. I am getting the Nexus 5 in 2 weeks when my contract is eligible for upgrade. I want to know if the Nexus will work with this Powermat. I cant seem to find out online anywhere if it will. I appreciate the help!
The power mats aren't Qi comparable.

None of them are or just my model? How do I tell?
Duracell Power Mats use a different standard. If you would like to use wireless charging then you will need a charger that is "Qi" compatible. Search Amazon, and there are a few threads (more than a few) on XDA. Some are inexpensive and some aren't. I prefer the Google charger for the N5, but there are many to choose from. Nokia makes some nice ones as well. Go to the accessories subsection, a nice thread there to get you started.

Replacement USB-C to 3.5mm adapter?

I don't even know why Motorola trusted me with this tiny ass adapter But I lost the darn thing in a day. Does anyone know where to find a replacement that isn't from China and won't take a month to get here? I tried contacting Motorola about it but all they said was contact Verizon, which is useless considering they don't sell it. Any advice?
Not an answer, but similar question...does anyone know if a usb c to 3.5 mm male cord exists?
My headphones have a removeable cord 3.5mm male on both ends...itd be nice to have a cable as opposed to an adapter.

Just went to go look all over the "shop" section on their website, didn't see anything, you may have gotten it confused with their Micro USB to USB C connector. Thanks anyway man
A search on google yields plenty of ebay results, Im even more glad I got two now.
The ones on ebay are pretty cheap if you can find reviews in there to look at

Yeah they're pretty cheap, but they all come from China.
I am thinking that will be the only option as the original is from China...and I briefly looked into it when I first bought the phone, I was then unlucky enough to receive a defective device and returned it for a replacement...well the adapter was in the bag not the box so I got a spare for the inconvenience of returning to the store.
Bump. Has anyone found a seller in the states? The only places that seem to sell them are from China.
Honestly, if you're a regular listener to music it might be time to go BT.
I've been using BT almost exclusively for a long time and and it's really nice.
First, no tangling of cords. No having to un-knot the mess when you take 'em out of your pocket or bag... no worry about snagging them on something when I'm sitting on the bus communicating to work.
Second, additional controls. Most BT headsets have controls for volume as well as track control so you can adjust without having to open the music app on your phone if you playing a game, checking email, or reading a book. Or...
Third, you don't need to be right next to your phone. You could have your phone tucked away in a purse or bag or briefcase or backpack and still listen to music. Or you could have it sitting on the charge on the counter while you're moving around the house... as long as you're not too far away of course.
Not, I'm not a serious audiophile, so I admit that there may be some degradation of sound quality going via BT. It's no problem for me, but I can understand that it might be so for some people. But unless your the type that really needs super good sound quality... or you just don't have the extra cash handy, BT is the way to go in my humble opinion.

I too only found ones from China, and I finally found a listing in the US for the exact same product in the chinese listings, the white one, and I bought 3 of them. Huge mistake, don't go for them. They don't support stereo headphones :silly:
Huge waste of money. I too decided to go bluetooth as the poster above me, I use a pair of Beats Studio 2.0 (I know you guys hate beats, blah blah blah) and they work great. I did manage to RMA my phone though, as I was having some issues with the power button, and they just sent me a completely new Moto Z Force Droid in box, so I have a spare turbo charger and a new headset adapter

Lol, same here. My charger and fingerprint scanner **** the bed in a week. Got my new one though and so far, smooth sailing.
I can confirm that this one does work with my Verizon Moto Z Force: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N7R8PWO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I hope that will be good wth a sennheiser hd700, I have a FIIO E11 amplifier but I would prefer It works without it, just with this cable would be perfect !
Just came across two eBay listings for what appear to be OEM replacement adapters (SKN6474A), thought I'd share (after I bought two for myself, natch). Kinda weird: same seller, but the first link is for $7.99 Buy-It-Now, the 2nd is for $9.99 but accepting offers. Haven't received them yet so can't say for sure they're the real deal, but the seller has 100% with 150 ratings. Act quick!

Looking for advice on a wirelsss charger/stand for the 11 Generation Fire HD 10 Plus...

...Anyone got experience with any equipment they would recommend?
Thanks
I bought the official Amazon one along with my Gen 11 Fire HD+ on Black Friday and it works perfectly. I would definitely recommend it. It charges from any position that you set the Tablet in, whether it's horizontal, vertical, camera up, camera down, and even charges with the offical Keyboard case I bought with it too. It was about $40 I think?
Really no reason to go with any other wireless stand to be honest.
I purchased the NANAMI Qi Certified Wireless Charging Stand for $15 on Amazon. This works GREAT with the Fire Tablet. I like that when I put it on the stand it looks just like an Echo Show. With that said, I'm guessing almost any wireless charger would work well.

I'm thinking of getting the nanami. It just looks small to support the fire 10 tablet. Is it hard to line up to charge? I looked on the site on amazon and out of the three answers 2 said no. Can you, please, post the link to the one you're recommending?
And, thank you.
