Hey people,
The site hosting the roms for the Ascend Y300 has been down for over 16 hours, and the only rom I have on my hard drive has a corrupt keyboard file (LatinIME.apk).
What I will do, if one of you could help me out, is extract the contents of the rom .zip, go to \system\app\, swap the .apk and re-zip it, then flash the rom. I need to get my phone up and running urgently and do not know when the rom file server will be back online.
Could a kind soul extract the LatinIME.apk from a Cyanogenmod 10.2 .zip and send it to me?

I delete the default calendar.apk by mistake. I tried to get it from stock rom, but I have no idea how to open .rfs file. So could anyone help to upload a stock one? Great thanks for your kind help.

On a sidenote, I'd rather you educate yourself too on how to extract files from system.rfs and other stuff as well. Helps you for a very long time.
So I compiled new rom from source but the only way it completed was to let it go to .img files. Is there a way to make them into a flashable zip?
When you compile them there is a command that will make them a zip. I can't remember it exactly of the top of my head. A quick google search should bring it up right away
Edit. You could just take your image files and replace the imgs in a different flashable zip with them and that should work. I say should because I am not 100 percent sure only 99...

I deleted the framework-res.apk in my coby 7042 (ANDROID 4.0.3) and the usb debug is OFF. IT was a STOCK apk and i dont have backup. Please somebody upload for me a signed and zipped framework-res.apk to install form the recovery! :crying:

I browse for my stock rom zip file but until now I couldn't find what I need, it only shows a pac file but since I don't own a pc or laptop, zip file is next to success in making my device back to life.. I'm running a Myphone my86dtv v1.11 but it seems that either here, I couldn't find what I need.. is it possible that anyone here make me a stock rom?! Or any advice to make a pac file convert to zip file using android since I don't have a pc.. thanks for anyone who can help me, it is much appreciated..

am looking for i9105p stock 4.1.2 ROM, i have googled (e.g. xda, samdb.org, etc.) for long but those files I have downloaded are all corrupted or cannot be unpacked for flashing. up to now, I have got only a french 4.2.2 working but i need 4.1.2.
i understand our i9105p is aged, if you do have a copy, please share with me. i mostly use english interface so any country / region rom with english should be fine for me. thanks much in advanced.

BTW, those zip files i have downloaded are with .tar.md5. i simply rename .tar.md5 to .tar but it cannot be extracted by WinZip/WinRar/7-Zip. of course cannot be read by odin, any hint? Or they are all corrupted as said above?
later, i have got a 4.1.2 from a chinese website, it works but it is in fact a mod with full of garbage junk apps inside, fuxk!!! try NOT to get those from chinese websites!
