Google play is broken for me, but the problems are only on one account and on every device that uses that account. If I completely remove that account from any or all of the devices, and add a different account all the problems and errors are gone.
Now moving to that new account would normally not be a problem, but this time it is because I have hundreds of dollars in apps (and that does not include non app things) on that first account I can not use. Google will not fix the account to return it to useable status with the play store, and I can not use the apps I paid for.
These problems have been there for months.
The above is a short history of the problem.
My choices now appear to be
1. Use a new Google account that works and re-buy everything.
2. Find a reliable alternative to Google for everything.
3. Simply stop new apps completely.
Now the question part of this is.
Is there any way to move the apps I paid for to a new account? I don't expect to keep all of them but a few of them would be nice.
What are the other app stores out there.
The main apps I do not have access to that I want to keep are (all paid versions).
ROM Manager
Root Explorer
Drive Droid
Any help here would be appreciated, as Google has done nothing for months. (4+ support tickets)
If this is in the wrong section please just move it to correct one. I am not sure where to put it as it is not device specific.

I noticed many people had had trouble recently from accessing the US Play Store from other countries, after apps such as Market Access and Market Enabler stopped working. I also found that people had trouble using VPNs.
I finally managed to find Pandora, a US-only app in the Play Store, meaning that it worked.
Essentially, I think Google can detect whether you've paid for apps already from a non-US source already on your current Google account. So basically I created a new Google account, moved my IP to a US server using Tunnelbear (available in Google Play), and emulated my SIM to T Mobile US using Market Access (just to be safe). I then went through the normal process of clearing data and force stopping Google Play Services and Google Play Store. Then I opened Play Store and it automatically went to my primary Google account.
All I had to do thereafter was switch to my newly created account and I searched Pandora and found it. I also searched Hulu Plus and found it.
I can also confirm that you can get Google Wallet from the Play Store via this newly created Google account. I emulated my SIM to Sprint US, VPN to the US of course, and edited my build.prop to emulate a Galaxy Nexus. I searched Wallet on the Play Store after clearing data and force stopping and downloaded the latest version. I lost all sound from my phone after emulating a Galaxy Nexus (I am on the i9300), but I found that sound was fine after restoring my build.prop and installing Google Wallet. It now works fine with my original build.prop but just make sure you install it when you're still emulating a Galaxy Nexus.
Hope this helps at least some people.

Thanks !
I'm still trying to find a method for accessing the us store from my old account though....
Would be great if Google would adopt the Apple - Itunes system and allow us to change through any country we desire...

Yeah I know that would be ideal.
Also I can't find any way to access it through my primary Google account. But I'm not too worried about that because it only takes a matter of seconds to switch accounts. I just have to make sure I always use my original account for UK apps and new one for US apps.
Perhaps you could try wiping all payment information from your current Google account? But I don't know if that will work because Google will probably still have a backlog.

I was going to post this in a device specific forum but it happened on both of my CM 10.2 devices at the same time. This isn't a question so much as how I managed to solve the problem.
I was getting a 403 error and unable to download a lot of updates for some apps. Specifically Lux and 2Do as well as some issues with SkySafari and a number of other paid apps. The error seems to have something to do with apps having been bought on one but not both of my Google accounts. Like many I have a "household" Google account to keep from having to buy one app 6 times or more often subscribe to a magazine or buy a book for every individual in my family.
So, I went around and I did the thing where you remove all of your Google accounts, wipe data on Play Store, Services, and Framework and then add back. I started to have to do that every single time one of the problem apps updated. For Lux I did a test and bought it on both accounts, this cleared up the problem. Not going to happen though, defeats the entire point. Finally on one of my trials I uninstalled the updates to the play store and then cleared the data. Quickly I went in and the updates installed as long as I went into the "My Apps" under "All" and selected the account that actually paid for them.
So, I hope this helps someone before they end up doing the nuclear option and completely formatting a device and starting fresh, trying to get the errors to stop.
For what its worth the Play Store version I finally got to work is v4.3.10 and v4.4.21 (the current version) seems to have some kind of bug where this kind of problem can happen.
I'm not sure if this is against the rules, I took a look but couldn't find anything pertaining to this.
My roommate and I play Dungeons n Dragons and we found an awesome application on Google Play a while back called Fifth Edition Character Sheet. I never did end up paying for it, and by the time I tried to it had been removed from Google Play. I can't find the reason why, only that it's now gone. My roommate did pay for it. The method of purchase was via in-app payment. It opened up the Google Play thing, allowed him to pay, and that was it. Unlocked full features. However he's selling his tablet and wants to transfer the app to his Phone instead. I can't find a way to do this. Anytime I've used a Save APK option it just saves the base version without the tag saying he paid for it with all features unlocked. It's brutally annoying because, well, he paid for the app. He can't install it through Google PLay anymore on his phone and will unlock automatically, it's just non-existent. I've found the APK online a few times but there were no premium/paid ones.
So my question is this. Is there anyway to save the APK while retaining the fact that it was paid for so he can use it on his phone? Otherwise we'd have to go back to using other things which suck immeasurably compared to this awesome app.
Hi everyone;
This last week I've desperately been trying to install the google play store and google family of apps into a honor phone that I bought in China on September 2018. I've looked through and through around the web trying to find a solution that worked; installing the GSM app, installing everything by myself (downloading the APKs one by one from APK mirror - Google play services, services framework, contact sync, etc.), giving every kind of permit and right to them, but when it comes to using them, they won't function properly. Google play store doesn't get past the first screen (won't let me click the green "start session" button), Gmail will open like it's the first time I use it every time, and won't let me link a gmail account (again, button doesn't work - if I try to link a hotmail account it does), and so on.
I feel like this is a nice phone for the money and there should be a solution - and so I resort to you guys. Has any one of you dealt with a similar issue before? Any ideas as to what might work? Android version is 8.1 if that helps in any way.
Kind regards,
马俊义
I'm having this problem ever since purchasing this phone, and it's really annoying. Sometimes I find out some games or apps I purchased from Google Play appear with the price tag, like if I never purchased them before. This happens also with subscriptions, I think is something about Xiaomi and Google maybe? The only solution I have found is clearing data/cache from Google services, framework and Google Play, then removing my Google account, restart the device and the sign in again with my account in Google. But doing this like every two weeks is frustrating sometimes it happen more often and I don't know what to do. I have the global version (MI) installed can someone please help? Does anyone have this issue as well? Thanks.
I got tired of the problems with Playstore paid apps and avoid them whenever possible and buy to app directly from the developer* if possible.
It's to the point now that I package and firewall block Playstore. Once a paid app is activated many times this and firewall blocking the app stops annoying "Do you wish to upgrade" etc bs.
Lol, I have Samsung Androids and similar issues. It's more like Playwhore...
*Google's pay protection is a sick joke. Just do a charge back on the card if you must. Most developers though provide good support. I haven't had issues outside of Playstore.
$5 is chump change but the time wasted trying to bring Playstore in line is far more costly!!!
Hmm, I have made purchases while being on MIUI 12.5 and MIUI 12.5 (EU) (debloated) . I had no issues with single/subscription purchases.
Are you sure you did not end up disabling some necessary background service from Google or Xiaomi?
Maybe a hard reset or switching to a debloated version of MIUI might help but this sounds more like a particular service not functioning properly.
