Anyone running KK on their moto g on tesco
Sent from my XT1032 using xda app-developers app

I dont know what do you mean. Tesco device is quite the same as all other Moto G's. You can flash american-international JB and then OTA to 4.4.2. There are few threads about this.
If you mean the official update - I go nothing, neither the GPS/parse error OTA fix.

It's a bit soon for tesco. We'll probably be one of the last (still in Jan though)

ask here > http://www.android-hilfe.de/motorol...wareupdate-14-91-11-en-de-ota-verfuegbar.html
Hello everyone,
i'm living in France so I can't provide the DE version but here is the FR version, in case you want to take a look at it:
https://mega.co.nz/#!hQ5wlBQR!b0J4PTzZM7atyST2OClI7ErJgDQFLyXVvbzkzVsxAlI
BTW, when trying to install it, I have an error screen and the OTA update isn't installed.
Anybody has an idea ?
EDIT : found it! I forgot I modified the original email.apk and LatinIME.apk ^^ Thanks to the adb sideload command, I managed to see what the problem was.
I have:
System number: 14.71.8.falcon_umts.Retail.en.DE
Build Number:
14.10.0Q3.X-76-LGG-8
...still no OTA update.
Is it ok to apply the .fr build on our .de devices?
Anyone rooted received the OTA? Thanks ...

Can't change to ART on stock rooted

Whenever I change my compiler from dalvik to ART in developer settings, it just reboots but doesn't actually change. Any suggestions on what I could have done/how to fix it? Thank you!

Are you on a deodexed ROM?
Edit: never mind what I said below, as it is incorrect... I must have misunderstood. Sorry for any confusion.
You can't use ART on the stock Verizon rom. They didn't include the runtime - or at least that is what someone reported right after the phone came out.

Any ideas why it isn't sticking on my device?
Some background: I do use xposed, I accidentally flashed the advanced power menu mod on stock, but it didn't seem to do anything so I've left it for now, and I've deleted some bloat verizon apps with root explorer.
Thanks!

No , but I have deleted a few bloat apps with their .odex. files, if that is even the same thing.

Not technically deodexed but it's no longer an odex ROM thus you break the function..

How can I go about fixing this? Do I need to keep all of the installed apps? Does it check for all of the original system apps?

you need to be 100% odexed.
When I've tried ART in my other devices (note 3, LG G2) it really seemed like a waste of time. Wasn't noticeably faster, and broke things.

Any chance you are running xposed as well? ART and Xposed will not work together. Xposed will disable the ART option on boot if you don't disable Xposed first.

[MOD]M Lockring

I wanted to share my M lockring for Moto X lock screen. It look nice and makes our phones a bit unique (I know, they are without anyway )
It's compatible with XT1052 version 161.44.16 UK retail, so if you have different version and don't want lose your lock screen functionality, don't flash it !!!
However it's working for me well, always do backup your version Keyguard.apk before flashing.
Of course I can make version compatible with any other stock ROM, but I need your original keyguard.apk which you can pull from your ROM guys (system/priv-app).
I hope that somebody like...
Below available versions at the moment (based on yours original keyguard.apk).

Yes, why not, it is very small modification and theoretically should work on any variant. I just need original apk and your system version, so I can publish here for others with the same version.

It should work, however as you know CM is updated very often, so you must flash this zip after every update and of course it should work until they don't change significantly keyguard.apk. Anyway try on latest nightly and let us know if it work...

you can use this xposed module.
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.mohammadag.removemotogsecondsimicons
Nope. This module only gets rid of the second sim icon in the status bar. It doesn't remove the notification tile. To get rid of the notification tile, you'd have to flash the single sim stock ROM or a custom ROM.

Then you can flash the XT1032 ROM. That works. It's less effort if you learn to live with it, though.
