I have also followed this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x20ISB_27bk... but I'm still having problems
then, let me know if I can help solve this ... they are greatly appreciate ... Here I leave the data on my HTC One X AT & T
PS: The cell that I use it in Ecuador, and I do not currently take the data plan. wifi only
That tool that you're using is outdated and for a specific firmware version, that's why it isn't working. My suggestion would be to use the Rumrunner s-off method to get s-off. Rumrunner doesn't require you to have SuperCID before getting s-off, all you need is an unlocked bootloader and root. Here's the Rumrunner site:
Once you've gotten s-off you can easily get SuperCID by issuing one fastboot command, here it is:
Code:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111

thanks for your answer
I visited the link and download the universal version
But I get the following error
FATAL: Download update package at rumrunner.us
I need some step to do to fix the problem....
ps: How To Get S-OFF on HTC One!
this is the name of tutorial on youtube where they use the program
So the download didn't work?
You don't have the HTC One, you have the One XL.

Yes, I have the XL version ... Now that I do to have SuperCID or s-off

You might need to try flashing a different ROM, or flashing a custom kernel.
Sent from my Evita.
With the data from my phone with S-ON without SuperCID ... What type rom, custom kernel currently in my cell I can
You can flash any ROM. Maybe an aosp 4.1 ROM would work best.
Sent from my Evita.
Good friend be installing the rom you say, or offering in forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-x-att#romList
I'll tell you how it was ... PD: I insist I will not have problems with having S-ON
I don't know what you're saying. Go to our Original Android Development section and find a 4.1 aosp ROM.
Sent from my Evita.
My friend I found this link but do not know which rom download, in the part where it says IMPORTANT LINK - DOWNLOAD nightlies
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426919
What I choose all these rom??; It is necessary that I should flash with this kernel??
No that won't work, that's a 4.3 ROM. I said specifically that you need a 4.1 ROM. I've just realised that an aosp ROM might not work, so maybe one of the custom 4.1 Sense ROMs would be best.

Well you somehow got s-off so that's good. You need to update your firmware by running the 3.18 RUU.

and then as I can update my HTC RUU .... downloaded the file you left on the Link and flashing

Go on Alphrev keep up the good work.
Unfortunately it was a private test by IEF n me, so its still not available to the public yet, but I think that will change pretty soon.
But at least you know now that it will be supported soon.
Looked promising
Just rooted and flashed cwm, installed busy box, just backing up current ROM then going to flash a few different ROMs
Great to know that it works on the DS!
Nice one.. gope it will be available soon... I mean soon.....

I can feel the kichen warming up already ... 8)
AMAZING! Cant wait to be officially supported
Wa... i want it now...!!
when it will be available??

That's great news! Can't wait to S-OFF my device...
I got goosebumps when I saw the image... Excited much!
Fine!
But will it be reversible? (to restore the warranty when required)
PS: from the FAQ at http://alpharev.nl/ :
"Will my phone stay S-OFF forever? --
Yes and no. As soon as you decide to flash a stock RUU that has a HBOOT update in it, this hacked HBOOT will be overwritten.
You do have the option to remove the HBOOT update from the rom.zip inside the RUU. Since your phone no longer checks signatures, you could easily do that.
Also, you then still have the option to flash custom recovery, or different kernels using the fastboot functions described above (fastboot flash, et al)."
good work guys
Nice one.. Gud to hear that DS can be S-off.

HBOOT is downgrade protected. You will be required to flash a 'downgrader hboot'
(to be released at a later time), and RUU, which will make it stock S-ON.

Wait, does this mean we could s-off our device without using the xtc-clip? & When will it be released? Another stupid question please, is it a software or hardware like the xtc? Sorry for that I'm still a noob although I'm great in computing.

You need to flash eng hboot and install 1.47 original t-mobile Germany t-mobile RUU to return stock
Hey, DO NOT RUSH INTO THIS !!!!!!!!!
First, wait for others in your region with a Stock, S-On Desire S to get the update. Friends, maybe. Then, when you have confirmed that the update is in your region, think about going S-On. This is VERY risky, much riskier than S-OFF'ing. You might end up doing this for nothing.

As you can see, there are 2 ways to fallback to S-ON: 1-st way is dot-line as described in the link given by dan-fish. The 2-nd one, much safer, is switch to hboot ENG S-OFF 0.98.2000 and then to SHIP S-ON by RUU.
This should be OK.
There's no need to go S-On. Just wait for the OTA to roll out to more people. Soon as devs get their hands on it, they'll make it a Flashable Rom, pre-rooted, for S-Off users. The update is just for S-On guys, they're the only ones who need it.
Meanwhile, use VoidU S. Best Sense ROM EVER.

You have to pick one that matches your device, region, carrier, original baseband and software version from the list in the first post.
Put phone in bootloader and connect USB, run ruu.exe on your PC.

Have you got superCID? If so you can flash anything and it won't break your device.
If you want to return it though they may notice its not the exact rom it was shipped with!

Errr your hboot confuse me LoL
Everytime whenever there is a discussion about hboot i would just read a bit then ignore it xP
You are already 's-off', which is better than 'unlock' with s-on.
You should have a custom recovery, i presume it is clockwork. to flash a new rom step.
I would give my post 1 or 2 days before trying it out. Because if i am wrong someone will correct me then we both can learn.
I am slowly forgetting this kind of details but I think that even S-OFF (which is definitely much better than unlocked) he still needs an Engineering bootloader to flash a recovery.
