I know this is off-topic, but I'm using a Nexus 5 with T-Mobile prepaid $30 plan and some websites are blocked. Anyone else has this problem?
Here is the one I tried (I know, it's a list of pr*n website, shame on me), but I don't want T-Mobile to block what I can and what I can't see... tblop.com
TIA
Nothing that I've encountered in the last month since switching.
good day.
Checked that site (yawn). I could connect with no issues.

Go login on my t-mobile
hover over manage then under your profile click phone controls
then select Web Guard OFF
it will ask for some information to verify you're indeed the age you say you are (18)
if you arn't you can simply bypass this with vpn

** This app will only be of interest to users on the PetroCanada network - an MVNO in Canada.**
However, I would like to add support for as many operators as possible, so if anyone on another network (e.g. speakout) can help please let me know. It won't take much of your time, I just need to see what the HTML looks like..
This app will check your account balance. You need a working internet connection, i.e. can browse to pcmobility.com. Instructions:
If you have not already done so, register your account on pcmobilitysite.com/register.aspx
Download apk, install and run
Click on "settings" and enter the info you use to login to pcmobilitysite.com
Click on "check balance" and your current balance should be displayed
Upcoming features:
- Homescreen widget
- Auto update when calls end and sms sent
- Auto update on schedule
- Support for more operators
If you find any bugs please post here. It works for me on on 2.2 and 2.3.5.
Note: even if I knew how to, I have absolutely no interest in harvesting your login info, and can see no advantage in doing so.
Just set this up, thanks. I have PC's unlimited browsing and it works fine. Pay as you Go. THANKS.
Look forward to future features!
Thanks, will download later!
However... I'm on petro Canada's UNL Talk, Text & Data for 50$... soo not much use checking my balance
but great app for those who need to check their balances!
Nice app, works nicely with Petro canada.
Does this use SMS (e.g. *777#), or website to check?
Thanks!
Is this app no longer working??? I have not used it for 3 weeks+ but just installed it again after ROMing my phone. I have entered the correct login info many times but keep getting it cannot retrieve the balance and to re-enter the login. I can login no probs on the PCmobility site, and know my login is correct.
Thanks for any responses.
Is this app finished, as in no more support or development???
My wife and I would like to be able to track our two teenaged sons whereabouts. I have been playing with several apps. My wife and I and one son has an android phone, while the other son has an iphone. Can someone recommend a good app to do this? I don't mind paying for the app, but don't want a monthly fee. Also, by the time we all download and find out if the app is good, the return time will expire. Any help is appreciated!

What about Google Latitude? Do you want consistent monitoring/logging or just one that does find the phone based on a request?
Lookout (Premium) does a great job locating phones per request.

Thanks! Unfortunately Droid only.
Icloud can locate an iphone via the web
Just enable location services and turn on the icloud account. Then you can log into icloud web site whenever you want and click, find my iphone.
With android, Google doesn't offer that, it's available through multiple 3rd party apps.

Recommendation
As I understood you are looking for free cross platform application for both Android an iOS. In this case I'd like to suggest you recently launched Fameelee - Family Locator.
This app is free in case you connect up to 4 family members and It has the following features:
- track real time location of your family members
- check location history of your family members for the last 30 days
- in-app private messaging
- GPS notification (called geofencing) once some your loved ones reach some particular places (you match them by yourself)
- ability to send "alarms" with you current GPS location and video of your surrounding
- track sms and call logs of your family members (premium version)
- get notified once your family member speeding (premium version)
In premium version you can connect up to 10 members.
So hope this app will meet your needs.
Hi, I have a question concerning "security" of internet browsing from android smartphones.
I hope that this is the right place to post.
Yesterday I was browsing the internet from a friend's android 2.3 samsung i8150 stock rom, and followed an "apparently normal" link on a webpage - it was not a link, I later realized that it was a "form button".
Suddenly after clicking it, I received an sms on the same smartphone from JAMBA, which stated that "my subscription was successfull" and from that moment on, I had to pay weekely 5€ (they took their first 5€ instantly, and of course there was no info about any "service" or subscription near the link).
I immediately called my phone operator (wind mobile) and asked to disable the subscription (which I hope they did - at least they refunded me), but they also said that this kind of "scam" is frequent: these services just need a click and a phone number to be subscribed to.
My question is simple: how could I "make safe" a browser which is publishing my personal phone number to any masked sms/ringtone/wallpaper/and whatever possible unwanted "service"?
I found these 2 topics, and made a check in the urls provided to see if it was wind's fault, but I couldn't find my phone number there.. so I assume it's another "trick" they are using to get my phone number..

Should I use a different browser (which one?) and consider the stock one "unsafe"?
Do you know anything about this behaviour and how to be "protected"?
Thank you in advance
I hope this is the right Forum...
I received a text from Sprint saying "We saw data usage on your account not allowed by our terms & conditions."
I called them, they informed me that I was using over 50% data that wasn't on my device. They further stated they were mailing me a letter in reference to this issue.
Looks like they now have the ability to tell if you are running a Rooted HotSpot.
Wow.. Do you have their apps that come with the phone pre-installed? Maybe they have one running in the background spying on you, because at the operator level, in my limited knowledge, data is data. (please correct me if I am wrong?)
I am curious to know what others think. I am not on Verizon though...
From what I've read a lot of them use the user agent header to determine what device is sending the traffic. A PC will have a different header to your phone. They will notice your getting user agents from lots of devices. I do believe (although I've not done it) that its possible on a rooted device to spoof the user agent so all traffic looks the same. Type "Whats My User Agent" into google and you'll see what your getting now. Mine tells me the device, operating system and browser. You'll need to spoof it to the device they are expecting to see, or at least spoof it to whatever your rooted device comes up with naturally.
Would using a VPN help hide the user agent from Verizon?
Advice please on a dialer app to use with a 907A, no longer carrier-locked to AT&T
Hi,
I live in Europe, have just bought a used 907A from the US. I've carrier-network-unlocked it and put in a European SIM.
The system recognises the new SIM and happily uses it to download data eg off the internet.
I also have a Tab S 10.5" which similarly takes a SIM, and downloads data PLUS it uses a Samsung dialer app with the SIM to make & receive cell phone calls & text messages.
So I've tried to find an app which will do the same on my 907A, but so far none connect calls.
Any dialer/contacts/text messaging app recommendations, please?
(I know from other threads I could use VOIP instead as a work-around, I'd prefer a cell solution if there is one)
I know that AT&T did not include (or blocked) calling/messaging in the code in the AT&T shell, but had hoped to add/get round this.
(A used "international" version p907 had proved impossible to find)
Many thanks
Merry Xmas

Hi David,
I'd not found a satisfactory dialer, but have had pretty good success with Google's Hangouts doing both phone calls and video chat. In fact,I plan doing a conference call tomorrow with my Sister's family in Spokane, and my family here where I live. This will involve my Note Pro, my Sister's desktop, my Nephew's Note Pro, my Niece's iPad Pro, and my Daughter's Mac. we're celebrating two Birthdays tomorrow. I guess this is the new face of family in our age. Pretty cool, Huh?
By the way, we're experiencing a pretty fair snow storm here in Salt Lake City. What's the weather like in your area of the UK?
