[Q] Locking an HTC One w/HBoot 1.54? - General Questions and Answers

Hey there the other day I successfully changed my father's phone from a Telus HTC One Sense to the Google Play Edition. I even changed the id so it matched the google play edition GOOGL001. Anyways I managed to get S-ON and remove the root and even update his now google play edition phone OTA. Sooo the phone even thinks it is the google play edition. The only problem remains we can't lock it. We can get it to say relocked with the fastboot oem lock command but then his phone will come up on the screen saying tampered and relocked and you can't boot the device to the main screen.
So we need it to say locked not relocked. Atm it is unlocked. Now I was following a youtube video and it told me to use revone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582 BUT it does not support the version of HBoot on my father's phone (whatever that is lol)... SO anyways is there any way to lock his phone while keeping S-ON and the google play edition operating system on it without the root with Hboot 1.54???
If not I guess we will have to leave it at unlocked... Thanks!

Hi I am still needing help with the problem above. If anyone can help it would be really appreciated thanks!

Bump..........

Bump.........

I'm still looking for an answer thanks!

Relock bootloader?

hi everyone
so after doing a massive search around the site, i still couldnt find my answer lol
basically, i unlocked the bootloader desire S 2.3.5 using the htc dev website then rooted the phone however the phone has now developed a fauly, backlight flickers some times and im thinking of sending it for repair..
I found that the boot loader can be Relocked but it will say Re-Locked instead of Locked?
is there a way so that it can be locked again to out of the box condition?
btw its unbranded uk version
thanks in advance

No, that is the chance you take when you unlock using the HTCDEV site. It leaves a tell-tale sign to HTC that you have modified your phone.
have you already check this thread ?

relocked bootloader

Hi everyone,
I have to send my phone into Verizon, and I was able replace twrp with the factory recovery and set it to s-on. I locked the bootloader, but it says relocked instead of locked. Anyone have experience with Verizon denying this under manufacturer warranty? They already sent me another device but don't want to send my old one in if there is a chance they will charge me. Thanks.
well I'm not sure if you can s-off again so that it says s-off and unlocked, look around google for faux kernel and flash that. I did that as soon as I s-offed and unlocked so that it says s-on and locked in case something ever happens it looks good to them.

Sim unlocked, but still shows "Activate this device" in the settings.

I bought a htc a9 sprint unlocked version online 2 months ago.
It has boot loader unlocked and s-off
But after I accidentally updated the phone with 7.0 ruu, it got aim locked.
After few weeks of work and I can't unlock it, so I turn to others for help.
He has unlocked the sim lock, but "activate this device" still appears in the settings.
Is there any way to activate this device? People said I need a Sprint account to do that, unfortunately I don't have one.
By the way, I can't get mobile data on this phone, is that because it needs to be activated?
Can any one help me with that? Thanks!

same thing happened to me bro, I'm still wondering how can I resolve my problem, you have HTC A9 2PQ930000 isn't it?
I changed MID and installed Nougat but I got a problem of not having 3g and 4g signals, but I had 2g signals, now I restored my MID back to 2PQ93000 and got Sprint RUU installed but still have no data and it is always asking to unlock. It drives me mad.
Fear not, get Sunshine and S-OFF the phone ($25 but it's worth it!) And follow the guide to convert your phone to dev unlock, it's easier than it sounds!

Fastboot showing Software Status Modified

Hello XDA,
Been a long time since I rooted phone, last one was my HTC One M8.
Just a quick question on the U11, if the software status in fastboot says software modified and there is Security Checking failed in the first bootloader menu, that does mean that the phone has had the bootloader unlocked right? I bought the phone thinking it was brand new and have had no reason to suspect otherwise until I went to wipe the cache partition this morning and saw those messages.
Just looking for confirmation if that is indeed what I think it is.
Pretty much what my unlocked phone says also ?

Have you rooted your phone? I am trying to find reasons why some U11 phones are showing as device not certified in the Play Store. I have never rooted my device and the reseller has confirmed that my U11 came direct from HTC so they did not handle it. The only thing that we can come up with is that by flashing the RUU file it has changed the software status to modified and that this is tripping the flag in the Play Store. I have no way to verify this so I am information hunting. The last RUU I flashed is this one:
RUU_OCEAN_WHL_O80_SENSE90GP_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_2.42.617.1
