EVERY headphone ever made as long as they have 3.5mm jack is "compatible". What kind of question is that really ?
Think that you will need high sensitivty ones in order to get high volume, think at least 106db. And that has nothing to do with compatibility.

FM Radio - working

I pulled the stock FM radio app from a non-verizon stock image .. You either need to have a writable system partition w/ root or need to push these with adb from TWRP or CWM recovery (after mounting the system partition from the mount section)
Here you go (de-odexed)!
put these both in /system/priv-app
HtcFMRadioWidget.apk
FM_Radio.apk

The stock headphones are the worst. I can't figure out how such an amazing phone came with such crap headphones. Lose 'em and don't look back.
So is there a built in FM tuner in this phone or is it using the headphones themselves to tune radio stations?

I wholeheartedly disagree with you on this one. These are some of the best stock headphones I've used to date.

Seriously, there's no noise isolation between the buds and the cables, meaning that they pick up way too much friction and impact noise from contact with your body and clothing; the control button is very flakey, and they're difficult to pack neatly for travel. And they just don't sound that great to me. My (listen-only) 10 year-old Koss PortaPros are head and shoulders above the HTCs as far as fidelity, isolation and frequency response is concerned. And while they're not technically as portable as the HTCs, they're actually worth the effort of taking along.*
I'm sure they have their strong points for you, but mine are hanging around only as headphones-of-last-resort.
* Am I the only guy that actually travels with no less than three sets of headphones? Bose QC-2s for in-flight, the Koss PPs for exercise and casual listening, and Apple earbuds for when I need to be mobile yet still able to answer the phone . . . And sometimes I bring my Mee AF-32s when I'm going to be in one place for a while. It's nice to be cable-free when the activity demands it, like cooking or doing chores.

Looking for a wireless headphones

Hello there
Im looking for a New headphones for our Z. My main councern is the compatibilty issue. A lot of headphones arent compatible with our Phone and i dont have a clue which headphones i should buy.
I prefer the non-ears protection wireless headphones to the huge ones ( the kind of headphones that cover the ears).
That's it. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot for your help!

I am using Philips shb9100, they are great , have no sound leakage , provide noise isolation as well and even the sound quality is on par with expensive headphones
Hi! I'm using jaybird bluebuds x with decibullz custom molds on them. Set costed me about 190euro or so but damn. The sound is impressive, it's bluetooth and they fit like gloves. Hope it helps!

Apple ear buds work completely. And the vita ear buds do, too. Of course, there are no phone controls on the vita buds, just a microphone.
