[Q] Error while flashing IOS7 ROM by [email protected]

Hi everyone ,
I have a rooted MMX a110 , i have tried varies custom ROMS and finally tried this IOS7 ROM by [email protected] today.
While flashing through CWM , i got this message Error opening FINAL_IOSxxx.zip Status [7] .
So i just restored my previous ROM from backup. :crying:
Can somebody or [email protected] bro help me over here . I am a newbie in xda ,so unable to post in [email protected] bro thread. :crying:

try renaming the zip to ios.zip , not sure,,,but faced such situations before n renaming makes miracles

Hi nav_786,
I installed this IOS7 ROM on my A110 without any errors last night, everything was working fine.
I have provided the proper steps to install this ROM, follow it step by step:
1) Download the SP flash tool and CWM recovery from here:
SP tool: http://d-h.st/mLA
Recovery img: http://d-h.st/Pqo
Scatter loading: http://d-h.st/DjW
Important : Keep recovery.img and scatter loading file in same folder.
Flash this recovery to your phone, post if you need any help on how to flash.
Disclaimer: You will do this on your risk as improper flashing of recovery may make your device dead!
2) Then download and install Xtreme Rejoice Kernel: http://d-h.st/87R, from CWM --> reboot
3) Finally, Goto CWM --> install zip from SD card --> select the ROM zip file --> it will start installing the ROM -->Then --> Wipe data/factory reset --> Wipe cache partition --> then goto --> advanced--> Wipe dalvik cache --> Wipe battery stats --> Go back --> reboot system now.
This will resolve your issue, if not post or PM me.

[Q] Help to clarify for dual boot

I read the post related to dual boot (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285366) and i need to know what to do in nice order
I have a Galaxy tab 2 7 P3110 with JB 4.2.2
would like install cm-11-20140922-NIGHTLY-p3110.zip in 2nd rom
rooted : ok
i installed GT-P3110_PhilZ-Touch-Recovery_6.57.9-2-blackhawk-f2fs.zip : ok
I made a backup of the rom : ok
I dowloaded many tools indicated in the post :
proprietary-vendor-samsung.zip
vendor-blobs-new-ducati-blackhawk.zip
blackhawk-next-kernel-2.2-p31xx.zip
aromafm_p3110-20140227.zip
GT-P3110_Recovery_Switcher_1.0.0.zip
But now i'm afraid to do error !
Is there anyone could tell me steps i need to follow (step by step)
I think i didn't forget details, please let me know if informations are necessary.

Finally i installed 2nd rom and i understood how to do ! :good:
It's simply when you know what zip file to use
Now i have a problem.
I tried 2/3 CM roms and finally i would like delete dual-boot : i delete file .secondrom as described in FAQ and it works.
Today i tried to follow tutorial to do again dual boot but i never have menu with primary boot and secondary boot and recovery.
I made factory reset and reinstall official rom JB 4.2.2 and tried again :
1/root OK
2/install GT-P3110_PhilZ-Touch-Recovery_6.57.9-2-blackhawk-f2fs.zip OK
3/ install blackhawk-next-kernel-2.2-p31xx.zip OK
4/ install proprietary-vendor-samsung.zip OK
but in reboot i haven't boot menu ...
i saw that directory .secondrom is not in data/media but directly in root.
Is that the problem ?
Have you got an idea ?

it's my first time to rom my mobile
it's steps what i do
1- clockworkmod recovery 6.0.3 for samsung galaxy ace plus
2- Rooted my mobile and got a Supersu app after restart mobile
3- put rom file .zip in my sd and shutdown my mobile
4- i go in recovery and Wipe your data/cache, including the Dalvik Cache.
5 - when i try to setup the rom i got " status 7 install aborted "

1. If i don't have any recovery, flash clockworkmemory or twrp! In my opinion is better twrp
2. Copy .zip into your sd card
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Wipe data, cache, dalvik e system! Remember, is very important wipe System for an clean installation
5. Flash zip from sd-card
6. Reboot

Facing bugs after installation of Cynogenmod 11 in S7500
Hi,
There is some problem to be highlighted after installation of cynogenmod11 OS in Samsung GT-S7500 model.
Request you ton please fix this issues in upcoming updates.
1) Restart the Mobile after 4-5 Hrs duration.
2) Restart the Mobile after disconnecting USB from PC.
3) Sometime mobile are totally hang during using of application like Whatapp, Hike, Facebook messenger etc.
4) Video recording not working.
5) Camera pic quality is poor.
6) Battery draining faster.

GPS seems to not working. (dirtydev cm11)

I try to explain with a few words.
I can't localize my position with GPS.
I tried Sygic, (new and old versions), Copilot. I activated only the gps of the device. But it never finds my position.
Have you got the same problem?

hi first can i say a big thanx for all the hard work you do. so far im trying to decide if speed mod or this rom is the best. i prefer all the things on this 1 but only thing making me favour speed mod is the option to use external has primary. ive tried all the different options i read on how to swap on cm11 but none seem to work for me, if thi option was available this rom would be the best by far

When you have downloaded the zip, have you unzip and edited it? Or have directly flashed the zip?
Anyway, is strange or is a recovery's problem or you have edited the zip in some way

I have not idea, you should try!
I'm not sure, but if you'll brick the phone you can restore with re-flashing the stock rom

please help guys i have no recovery or factory reset
Hi thanx for all your time and effort you put into roms. I have been using cm11 for few weeks but all of a sudden i cant enter recovery or do factory reset I've tried hard reset I've tried factory reset option but nothing works. My phone tries to enter recovery because screen flashes then stays blank but i can enter download mode. I was going to try Odin but im worried has i have no nandroid back up. Please help guys if anyone has a answer for this i will be very grateful. My phone has been working great up until now

Probably you are trying to flash the rom with CWM you must change the recovery, flash TWRP 2.5.0.0 with odin

Tried but in TWRP it is just skipping MD5 sum and said process complete but inside the phone nothing changed. I don't know what to do, in TWRP I am unable to locate my old back up while in CMW it is not allowing me to go back using same back giving me error of MD5 sum.

My phone have cosmic rom but i want change
i like this but i can not
i flash stock (s7562xxbmj1) rom and flash the cmw recovery everything okay
then i moved L-Tocuh rom on the phone
i wipe data cache dalvk cache battery stats and install your rom
rom is quickly installed about 10 second
i install file and bugfix zip
and i reboot,telephone was staying first boot screen (Samsung galaxy s duos 7562 screen)
i try wipe data cache ...
i tryed three time
how can i fix this ?

Ltouch ROM runs smoothly on gts7562.I didn't face any problem after flashing ROM.
If u have issue then try these steps -
1- wipe data,cache,dalvik
2-go to mounts and storage
3-choose format/system then select yes
4- after formating system, install zip from sdcard
5- flash L-touchrom.zip & file.zip
6- reboot & wait
If ur device stuck on boot screen then try to change kernal.
Before do anything make nandroid backup for safety.
Try & report again.

i do everything you say data cache dalvik cache format system then flashed ktouch rom and file but phone wait same screen
then ı flashed another kernel (kernel-xvasek-013-1.19GHz)
but same problem
when installing rom, problem does not appear everything is okay
but rom flashing quickly in 10 second
does not appear a error
problem is my baseband?

OK if ur problem is baseband then try this-
Compatible Baseband is S7562XXBMJ1 for LTouch rom
U can easily change ur baseband to s7562XXBMJ1 with this method below (by me) :-

I guess ur LtouchRom.zip (rom package) is coruppted, redownload & try again.
Which cwm recovery version u using?
U have to use cwm v 5.5 (I am using CWM 5.5)
Ltouch rom & pmp roms works fine in my own device.
U say that flashing time is 10 sec but real flashing time is about 2min.

Yes,Ltouch ROM works smoothly for me without any issue.
I don't understand what's the problem with ur device.
Try to flash Ltouch ROM with TWRP 2.7 recovery & report again.
Twrp recovery download link :-

Download recovery.zip & flash with cwm recovery.
After flashing in cwm..
Go to advance & select reboot recovery
Now u will see TWRP recovery,which successfully installed in ur s duos.
In TWRP click on install & select ROM package,flash it(swipe).

which package
1- Download cm 12.1 (6 stable) or
2- Download see 12.1 (7v2 revised) or
3- download cm 12.1 unofficial final stable or

In cm12.1 v7 revised it gives erorr and says update failed

v3 is the latest

The rom isnt working and says update failed while installing in recovery

important:*make backup of your current rom before installing new custom rom
Download the firmware and put it in the root of the SD-card
- Go to the recovery, to make Wipe Data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache (additionally u can wipe system if any error came across)
-Find firmware and install it
- Wait for it to complete nstall
- Restart

actually it better to wipe system to give a clean install

I am interested to use this rom (since Lenovo isn't going to update it to 5.X), but can you tell me what works and what doesn't? If camera, video recording and video playback works, then I will have no absolute problem to use it. I just need your confirmation.

So I know this needs a recovery menu to install the rom, like ClockWork Mod. But I need your help, how can I install it?

at first you need custom recovery for lenovo a536 (twrp,cwm,philiz..)
use sp flash tool to install custom recovery(here is the tutorial)
after installing custom recovery
switch off phone ,take battery out for a minute then put it back,
press volume up+volume down+power button together until recovery shows
in recovery clear data,cache,
then select install from sd card then navigate to root folder where you put ur rom zip file and then flash it(press power button to select)
wait to install ur rom...finish

Does it matter if I have the latest official firmware? I mean the cwm recovery file that I have has the name of an older version of the firmware.
