Hi,
My carrier name is long and takes a lot of space in the statis bar.
How would you remove or shorten the name ?
Thanks,

If you are rooted, get xposed and xblast tools. You can change it to what ever you want it to be

I'm no expert so please if someone can correct me on this go ahead. I don't think you can manually insert a flashlight into the notification bar without cooking your own ROM. I have tried FrostyJB which is a ROM that I used for a while (didn't like it much since it drained the battery a lot more than the stock ROM) and it had the notification for a flashlight. You can download the app "Flashlight" from the play store and have a widget on your screen to press to use your flash as a flashlight. I hope this helps.

Try with gravity box, I think it will work on CM 10 but you will need xposed framework.

It's simply done: one - Xposed and GravityBox two.

Amazing and simple.
It wil stay like that as well after uninstal? I meen the seetings for transparency. Or they will go back to standard?

The status bar will go back to its original state. Because stock framework was not modified.
Hello
I am on a LG optimus VU
It's an ics device but it has no navbar
Unlocking the bootloader is impossible
Is there anyway I can ads a transparent navbar on this?

I'm guessing that the navigation bar is disabled from the build prop. However there is a alternative. Pie control may help. Hope this hrlps

Is your phone rooted? If so, you can try to install Xposed Installer (here) and GravityBox (here). There's a tweak there to add a NavBar.

Maybe its a app placeholder ie. Motorola will update it with a proper active display app for LCD screens The same app placeholder can be found in Moto E as well

There is also the Tags app in the stock firmware, but that does not mean that the Moto G has an NFC chipset.
