I'm no expert so please if someone can correct me on this go ahead. I don't think you can manually insert a flashlight into the notification bar without cooking your own ROM. I have tried FrostyJB which is a ROM that I used for a while (didn't like it much since it drained the battery a lot more than the stock ROM) and it had the notification for a flashlight. You can download the app "Flashlight" from the play store and have a widget on your screen to press to use your flash as a flashlight. I hope this helps.

The easiest way would be to use a launcher that allows you to use your own png images for icons. I don't know what launcher you'll have on there (Trebuchet?) but does it give you any options if you long-hold the app drawer button?
If not, there's lots of launchers that do what you ask, but I recommend Nova, just from personal experience. (Freely available on the Play Store.)
I acually have TREBUCHET but still if i long press the icon i can only change the name of the app and i just want to change the icom in trebuchet not install another launcher for a icon cuz that will take my Ram and i have only 280 (low ram ) so please if you know how can i change the appdrawer icon plz answer me how
Ps : i wanna change it and stay in trebuchet is this possible ?

To developers : Request new design widget for assistive light

I am almost sure that most of you see how ugly this widget look like with that ugly huge uncostomizeable grey background , we need better style widget for assistive light similar to the note 3 rounded active applications widget or transparent would be great too
I found this widget so handy and useful when using the GT-I950s as a torch, specially when i couldn't find any app or widget that work properly with this phone in the play store, even hidden setting for flashlight by long press the voulme up while screen off some how its not working either ,,,

I've read around that TWRP has some bugs and not always flash properly.... i think that a flashable zip has to be modified for it...
I always use Philz which is the best as ever, so sorry i cannot help you...
Maybe some other experienced member can modify my flashable for TWRP or you will(suggested..) try Phil'z recovery, click on the image on my signature and take a look at amazin features it offers
Flashed by Philz recovery
Still same old widget :what:

Try with gravity box, I think it will work on CM 10 but you will need xposed framework.

It's simply done: one - Xposed and GravityBox two.

The status bar will go back to its original state. Because stock framework was not modified.
