What's the difference in galaxyfreak's Cyanogenmod 10.2 Weekly build 9 and sakindia123's Cyanogenmod 10.2 Beta#2?
Which ROM is more stable, better and has more features?

Instead of asking why don't you try and see every user has there own need of using the rom and its features..

I meant if the sakindia's version has the HALO 2 feature, the s2e...
And do they have any bugs?

Both the roms are stable and dont have any serious kind of bugs.
Havnt used sakindia's rom that much but have used galaxyfreaks rom the rom is stable and smooth.
I use sakindia's rom with pure performance script and it is smooth.
Generally sakindia ports CM without adding eye candy to it (no halo, no s2w, etc).
Galaxyfreak and 7alvi adds all those features
As mentioned previously, if you'd like to know the difference between ROMs or whether a certain ROM is more stable/has more features than another ROM, simply test them out and find put for yourself.
Yes, it will take you longer to find out but it's better to test things for yourself because you might prefer the features/usability of one ROM while other people may suggest a totally different ROM based on their own usage.

cm 7 is bassed on android 4.0.4 can't support new games and programes and aslo cm themes and when we port it (IF WE )
it will be FULL of bugs and the kernal will be 3.x the same as we porting it
so let's port cm 10.2 bassed on 4.3 will unlock new drivers and performance improved and other things
so waiting is the best solution for cm 10.2 while we porting it , cm 10.1.2 will finshed of bugs

CM 7 is Android 2.3.7 but it does not 4.0.4! Essentially all of this is true, but, for our better devaysa SM7 will not, other versions SM9-CM11 is not for the weak of our devices!
Please!

Guys , please , tell some respect to the [DEVELOPER] not because he did something , but he is working on , to bring the best performance .
He's working on this , he had chosen this ROM , surely there's a reason behind that!
Tell some respect , rather than SPAMMING , contribute
I'm with CM7.x , if you port it , that'd be great !
Thanks :highfive:

Hey guys, I need some help regarding various KitKat Roms. I used to keep myself updated with xda an year back, but now as its my 12th going on, I couldn't do so, and I don't even have enough time to read those 1000s of posts!:banghead:
So plz help me differentiate b/w mainly these two roms-
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572199
And
2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303
Below are my queries--
1) Which of them is more stable for daily use?
2) I read that speaker phone isn't working. That means the normal mode(when we pickup call) or when we switch it to loudspeaker?
3) In the 1st thread posted above, there are 3 builds- Jenkins build, OMINI Rom, and a build by hephappy. What's main diff. Between them??
Any help is very appreciated!
Also, please don't post posts like -- "Flash this its awesome!!"
Or,
"I use this, it'll blow your mind"
Suggestions from developers are more recommended

I use the one from mukulsoni as daily Driver and am totally ok with it, I chose is as the other one still sais that it's early experimental. If you use the sweetnsour Kernel and the newest Version (v5) you should be happy.I don't realy see any bigger troubles so I'd suggest you install it and see for yourself, as flashing doesn't take to long and before installing to much, you just check if the main Functions suit your needs

Talking when you pick up is fine just the switching to loudspeaker is supposed to not work. I never use loudspeaker in calls so I can't tell you if it's true but normal calling works

Hope this helped.

Jenkins build is original cm 11 build
Omni rom is different rom its based on omni sources its still in very early stage
so dont use them
Hephappy build is far old one
its just a preview version of kitkat
so dont use this one
IF u wanna use daily use jenkins cm 11 build
if u r intrested to try new rom
try omni
There's basically no difference between those two ROMs. Almost the same.
Both ROMs are pretty stable except battery drain and Bluetooth issue with some phones. And for SD-EXT, only link2sd works at the moment.
Yea. You cam talk normally by picking up the phone but won't hear anything in loudspeaker mode.
Jenkins is a kind of build server and Jenkins build are the builds built by it. You can set its source from Github and downloads from androidarmv6's jenkins.
Omni ROM is a kind of with many added features other than stock android or CyanogenMod. Its not much stable as of now. You can get experimental builds from here and submission tests here
Builds by Hephappy are the ones which Hephappy (a great developer) built. They were the first ones to have workinh KitKat. But not suitable for daily use. You can find them here (KitKat builds). Hephappy's folder (all builds)
Every build except the Omni ROM is pretty stable to use as daily driver. Omni to become stable soon :good:
Hope this helped you

I want to know what custom ROM I could use the best on my S2 Plus (i9105P)?
I want a stable and good performance ROM and with some features of course.
Currently I'm on Resurrection Remix v5.1.5 and I like the ROM so far but I want to know if there is a better, newer and maybe more stable ROM for my phone.
And if some of you think a ROM is better then Resurrection Remix also explain to me the difference between that ROM and Resurrection Remix.
Like what's better about it? Are there more features? Will I lose some stuff?
I like to test some ROM's but my S2 Plus is a phone that I daily use a lot so I need a stable ROM for it.

I use RR rom atm too. Maybe cyanogenmod M7 can be good rom. Heard about performance profiles. Also PAC-rom can be good too. PAC man is mix three of most popular roms: Paranoid android, Aopk(android open cource kang) and Cyanogenmod. So features gonna be rich.

About CM11 M7: Can you explain to me what performance profiles are exactly? And what are the difference in performance?
About PAC-man: I see it is still in beta so is it stable? And what features do I have more then on RR and what features will I miss? And what about the performance ?
If I were you I'd make a little list of the features I use and the ones I absolutely need, and maybe the ones I would like to have. Then I would take a look through the different ROMs for our phone (they're not that many to be honest) and try out the promising ones. If you don't have the time, post the list here and we'd be able to help you out more easily.
Personally, I'm still switching ROMs around on my phone. Compatibility with a good kernel is a must for me (I use nebula). My musts are a black/dark UI toggle, lockscreen shortcuts, customizable quick settings, notifications and recent apps menu + statusbar traffic monitor. Things that I could otherwise do using Xposed Framework such as custom animations, progress bars etc. are just bonuses. Those things are found in pretty much every ROM so all that remains is a question of finding the lightest and most stable one.
Currently I've got my money on Dirty Unicorns - even for an early, unofficial build, it's pretty stable while offering everything I need. It's smooth and responsive, plus it's feature-rich - it offers pretty much what everybody else also has and allowed me to easily experiment with features I hadn't used before. This helped me find out what I want and what I don't want in a custom ROM.
Hi
Where I can find a custom rom list for our device?
Hello people
My sister is considering flashind custom rom on her SGS Advance. And because I'm not familiar with Samsung devices (I have two Sony :>)
I would like to ask you to help me chose the most stable and fully functional custom ROM.
At the moment she has stock JB installed but it has some freezes and doesn't run very well.
What can you recommend? It doesn't have to be the nevest android.
I think I would chose between SkimKat 4.4, CyanogenMod 11 by Team Canjica and VanirAOSP 4.4.4. I know those are very good custom roms.
Can you tell me if there are any issues with those? like reboots, not working features?
If you say custom ROMs, there is no ROM which is bug free but there are stable ROMs.
Stability depends on how and what you use. All 4.4 ROMs have reached to a state where you can use them for daily use.
I am Using CM11 nightly 20140614 and dont have any problems.
All the ROMs have their dev and Q/A threads, you can check them for the most stable builds and the working/non working functionality.
Try the latest vanir aosp its fast, fluid and stable...
For me its the most stable rom yet
Well SlimKat seems to be bugless.
VanirAOSP has some bugs with SystemUI
Go for the slimkat(final). It's the smoothest, fastest rom for our phone.

Test all roms to see which rom fit for you
CM 10.1
Wysłane z WOO-Phablecika 4.2.2...
Vanir is the best!
AOKP 4.2.2 by PV after uninstalling and reinstalling calendar is stable.
Wysłane z AOKP-fonika 4.2.2...
I'd have to go with Vanir. Everything just works and lag is virtually non-existent. The only downside I can see is slightly shorter battery life (could be just my phone though). One advantage that i love is it has it's own updater so it's not much of a hassle to get the latest fixes and improvements!
Another option for her would be to stay with stock JB bit change her kernel to CoCore.

More performance = more battery drain.
@lozohcum : How old is she? She want a girl theme too?
After testing almost every ROM, i think that CM10.1 is the most stable(with good battery backup)...
Liquid smooth 3.2 smooth as liquid with all customizations
just battery backup is 15 to 17 hr is matter

Yeah, you should try this. Cm 10.1 is awesome!
I think u can choose between VanirAOSP or AOSP from j.team.. The last one is disscontinued but its 90% finished and 100% stable.
U can choose one of them, or, simpli, test both because testing is the only (exactly) way to know if ROM is for you (or sister).
See all!
Hey, I can't a find a clean and stable aosp rom for bacon that suits my needs, so I want to build my own. But I need help, I havent built roms before. Only compiled another custom rom once.
Would compiling aosp (+ caf & cm to make it work?) for bacon require much programming skills?
I would be very grateful if someone would assist me in making of the rom, or at least point me in the right direction.
I would only need some very basic custom features in the rom. (clear all recents, cm snap camera ...)
I have Ubuntu 15.04 with a little over 100gb of free space, installed as dual boot besides windows 10-
Thank you.
Also please do not recommend other "aosp" roms in this thread for me to download and install, I want to make my own.
If you want a nexus experience I can recommend AOSP-CAF you . It is basicly barebone AOSP without any additional features.

I found this ROM http://downloads.techexhibeo.ski/Android/LegacyServer/aosp-mm6.0.1-20160621-bacon.zip, I don't know who is the creator of it, but it is great. The perfect aosp rom for bacon. I'm using it now, seems very stable too. I recommend it for anyone who wants a clean aosp experience.
