I have tried many apps but haven't been satisfied with anyone. I see somewhere that there is a file located in data/misc/wifi/ named "wpa_supplicant.conf" which stores all passwords from wifi networks. My question is: Is there any app that lets you view your passwords and even create a backup of them? Just see them, so when someone asks me the password I can tell him by looking at that app and giving him/her the password..

Hey guys!
Thanks to scrosler's brilliant discovery that all it takes is a simple "Yes" response from a server to enable tethering and seeing his method of modifying the TetheringProvision.apk file in oder to replace the entitlement.mobile.att.net with his server I just thought why not simply edit the HOSTS file in /etc ???
So I fired up root explorer and opened /etc/hosts, then put as first line:
74.208.15.145 entitlement.mobile.att.net
save/exit
That's it !! Now I was able to go to my own server and look in the log file what exact URL the phone is calling and found it's calling /mhs1
So I put a index.html unter /mhs1 that just reads "Yes" *with no newline afterwards!*
And voila!
Hotspot activates!
P.S. I encourage everyone with the possibility to do that to use their own server. Maybe Scrosler will be so generous to host the /mhs1 index.html on his server as well and provide his IP address. This IP here is a test server that is probably going to go offline in about 1 month.
And it gets even easier...
Using any of the ad-blockers out there (I use AdAway), just enter the HOST entry in the manual redirect list. Now it's not even necessary any more to browse to the /etc/hosts file
See attachment!
Or you could just use this. Even easier.

Oh cool! I didn't know ES now does that. Like foxfi it seems to trick the hotspot into turning on. I personally like the stock experience best with a quick widget on the home screen. That's why I used to hack the framework.
Good to know that now we have several options

Worked for me, thank you. Ended up hosting my own "yes" file. :silly:
Or to make it super easy just down load fox fi >.> http://foxfi.com/bin/

Or you could simply use ES File Explorer.
Do we have to be rooted to use ES net manager?
Probably a dumb question.
Oh cool. . People confirmed it is working workout root. .

Hey, so many of my older notes are password locked and I never locked them >.<. It happened after JB update. Been having this problem for months now.
I've tried:
Full Wipe from recovery
Factory Reset
Wiping app data and cache in Application Manager
Anyone know a solution?
Been having thjs issue on my n2, I think the problem lies when Samsung syncs your notes. Only solution I have found is to disable syncing and use google drive. The spen works great and so does the snote app but god damn samsung servers suck! I am hoping since the note series is getting popular not only with phones but also tablets and now 2 mobile os' s that samsung will improve their server

Sad to say more than likely your notes are jacked. Unless you have copies you wont retrieve them back. For some sketches and notes I had jpg images from me sharing text or faxebook. I opened a new note and opened an image stretched it to the whole page and saved it. In addition to syncing to google drive. I also uploaded the snote folder in my sd card to dropbox
Also I believe you have to to sync files manually...

Hi
I have an app it's a chatroom app
I have a question, the admin is on a console banning peoples UUID IP and IMEI , QUESTION: is it possible that you guys could decompile the apk and delete some compiled files that actually connects to admin and device ID, can any of you guys delete those "remote banning files" so that admin cannot pick me up and/or can't ban or find my device ID, the reason is because admin is kind of ****ty:sly:, he bans people for **** so if any of you guys could help that'd be great, PM me and I'll give you the app that i have to upload to dropbox or I'll paste it down below later, thanks in advance:thumbup:

I don't think that this would be possible. The server probably wouldn't let you log in if it couldn't verify your device ID. It is probably not a good idea to ask about doing something like this anyway, because in many places it would be considered an illegal activity, since you would be using a service after being refused permission by the owners. It would most likely be similar to using somebody's wifi link with out their permission.
Greetings all.
I'm looking for an app that allows multiple user profiles, such as:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-parallel-space-multiple-accounts-t3308715
All the apps I am currently running (GO Multiple, Parrallel space, Appclone, etc) only have the ability to 'clone' 1 specific game (clash royale in this case) with 1 single google profile. I want an app that allows you to create multiple. While using multiple of such apps does the trick, so to speak. Appclone started to fail and no longer boots up the clash royale game.
If anyone can help me with this, appreciate it.
Using the S7 on Android Marshmallow. And I'm rooted.
Regards,
Skyrider

Not really related to my thread, but I assume you need a specific amount of posts before you can create threads here. At least it was so in the past.
10 posts is the amount to start posting

I get to assume no one knows?
Titanium backup should work (Data profiles). I don't know if you need pro.
I've upgraded from the Note 4 to S8+. For some reason I can no longer read pdf files in Perfect Viewer. The files are there but Perfect Viewer does not see them and will not load them.
I've tried reinstalling and rebooting (both the app and the pdf add-on) many times but nothing seems to get pdf files working.
Grateful for any ideas please.

I have an AT&T S8+ and just downloaded Perfect Viewer and the PDF Plugin. The 3 PDF files on my phone opened perfectly. Now the only setting I used was a normal view, not the comic book one. Didn't change any other settings (only set up a folder).

You allowed the permissions? Can you open other file types?
Maybe try uninstalling and clearing cache?

Changing the view doesn't seem to resolve the issue either. Thanks anyway burrzoo.
It seems as if the pdf plugin is not functioning for some obscure reason.

'permissions' - you mean to access the SD card? Yes. And moving pdfs to the internal memory doesn't help.
I can read comic files fine. The covers of epub files are displayed but not the content. Pdf files don't appear at all - neither covers nor content.
I tried clearing the cache without success too.
