Scale Pictures in Nexus 5 - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an HP Photosmart Premium inkjet printer that connects to my Nexus 5 very well with Bluetooth and with the HP Print Service Plugin. what I'm having trouble printing is printing to 4x6 paper. Does anyone know how to scale photographs to print to 4x6 paper? When I select 4x6 paper, the pictures get cut off. Printing on Letter size paper prints fine.

APP: Photo frame widget ????

Im looking for a photo frame widget that will allow me to make it 1x1, Allow me to have as many pics I want in it and to allow me to crop and resize the pic.
The only one I found to do this right is called MultiFrame but it dont allow a 1x1 and since im using go launcher, when I resize to 1x1 it cuts the pic up. But it allows me to do all the rest.
The next one I used was Photoslide but it dont let me crop and resize pic.
So basically Im looking for something that has all this in one app. Being able to pick a frame would be a bonus as well.
•selectable picture frames
•Crop image when selecting
•1x1 Widgets
•Multi Images
I second this. I had something simular on my stock rom (LG Optimus One) but it didn't work quite well.

[Wallpaper app] Pimp your screen

Discovered Pimp Your Screen app when using the Samsung App just now. The wallpapers are all high quality, and there are both digital illustrations and photos. Some of the wallpapers have a surprise twist when you set them in fullscreen mode. Give it a try anyway!
Appears to be an iphone port.
After playing with it for a while, I've realised that you can set your desktop with the wallpapers but not save them. To get around that, I switch to Zeam launcher without any icons on the desktop and take screenshots with the S-pen. I'll try to stitch the images in photoshop.
I was able to save ok, did you hit apply?

Very nice... thanks!

Why do they call it wallpaper?

Why do people call lock screen pictures wallpaper? Wallpaper is like for your desk top or start screen what Windows Phone has is lock screen pictures not wallpapers.
Because it's shorter?
Because the wallpaper functionality in wp7 is limited to the lock screen wallpaper. The pictures hub though have backgrounds, which makes sense because the background is, well positioned at the back, topped with typography interface and tiles, hence background. If it was wallpaper then you should be able to see most of the picture.

Notepad Widget

I remember having a notepad widget on an ASUS transformer tablet (at least I believe that was it) that I liked. It was a widget that you could handwrite notes on the homepage and flip through them and back again.
I am looking to find something similar for the note. It would be perfect for it. Basically handwrite memos, todos, shopping lists, or whatever on the widget and flip through them without having to go into an app or do anything but a flick of the finger.
Anyone know of similar apps?

[Q] Scaling wallpapers for the Droid Razr HD

Does anyone know the dimensions for the Droid Razr HD wallpapers? I'm trying to scale my favorite wallpapers that I have for use on the phone
This is a great question, I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I've seen screenshots 3 ways:
1.) Where the wallpaper extends all the way down behind the buttons.
2.) Where the wallpaper extends half way down behind the buttons.
3.) Where the wallpaper ends at the top of the buttons.
I'd like to know how to get it to go ALL the way down. Even the stock ones stop half way down the buttons for me.
I think this may have something to do with Nova Prime...
Bump. How do we get wallpapers to go all the way down when using Nova?
Standard Android wallpapers are as follows... 1x vertical resolution, 2x horizontal resolution. In the case of the 720x1280 Razr HD, you want to create your wallpaper at 1440x1280. Keep in mind that it'll be centered on the screen and not scroll with the default launcher, but the image still needs to fit that size to avoid the phone resizing it.
Other launchers can turn scrolling on and off, and Wallpaper Wizardrii can resize wallpapers, and will allow you to set 720x1280 images as wallpapers without padding the sides to the double resolution.

Click to collapse
Does your background image extend behind the buttons to the bottom edge of the display when using Nova?
When I use Nova Launcher, backgrounds are cut off half way down the buttons, when I go to the default launcher they go all the way down (same wallpaper).
