Try using a different ROM. A few people have reported the s-off process not working while on one of the current Sense 5 ROMs.
PS. Questions go in the q&a section.

I am owning HTC One X (AT&T) Hboot 0.89, CID 1111111, S-ON. I have installed ViperXL 4.2.0 with this hboot, but can see some inormal acts on my phone. Do I need to upgrade HBOOT version? If yes, how can I do that?
First of all you need soff. It's in the original android development. After that, I wrote a guide in the general section on how to update the bootloader
Hit thanks if I helped

It isn't just the hboot you need to upgrade, it's the full firmware package that you need.

Thanks a lot, now phone is S-OFF, HBOOT-2.15.00. Do I need to re-flash ViperXL 4.2.0?
You couldn't have to flash it again, just boot up.

I would at least clear Dalvik and cache. It never hurts.
Sorry for this question but I have Soffed HTC one s and i am looking to update the Radio and the Hboot. But i am afraid if i do will i loose the Soff?
Current spec of the phone.
VLE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
CID-H3G_001
HBOOT-1.14.0002
RADIO-1.08es.50.02.16
OpenDPS-v29.1.0.45.0622
eMmC-boot
If i run an RUU update to upgrade the Hboot and radio will i loose the Soff
No you won't lose s-off with RUU installation. BTW you don't need to run RUU to update hboot and radio, you can just flash firmware

You are s-off, you can install any firmware. Use this thread. If your cid isn't listed in android-info.txt in firmware.zip just add it and install firmware.zip

hi all,
I am looking for the RUU matching my HTC ONE S.
hboot 2.15
cid:HTC__E11
S-ON
Can anyone tell me where I can find the RUU?
regards,
Have a look in the Dev section...
There a stickybpost at the very beginning of it, saying "Shipped ROM Collection".
You should find what you need in this!
Cheers.

So you no longer require help on this other thread you created?
You're s-off, you can run any Evita RUU you like. We have a really nifty search feature on XDA by the way.

NO BRO I DON'T REQUIRE THAT THREAD ANYMORE THANKS...
FOR THIS ONE
I CAN USE any Evita RUU. FOR ANY CARRIER WOLDWIDE??? WITH BOOT-LOADER RE-LOCKED CONDITION???
Yes, any Evita RUU, having s-off allows that. I don't believe your bootloader status matters.

I don't know why one wouldn't unlock their bootloader for something like this. Unlock it and then once you're finished, relock it
By the way, your caps lock is accidentally on. Just thought I should let you know
