Did you do the battery mod (aka pulse charging)? Looking at the graph, it looks like there was a lot of quick charge/discharge cycles. Pulse charging will force more juice into the battery due to the charger starting at a higher output for the first second when it it first plugged in until it settles to the correct output. If i remember right, this is due to the capacitors in the charger ramping up to being at full operating voltage from 0. Usually this only takes a fraction of a second and is only done once when the charger is first plugged in, however some clever person discovered if you can leave the charger plugged in and turn on and off the power to it quickly (this is where the pulse name comes from) it will continuously be in that higher output mode and force more juice into the battery. Those that have reported being successful in doing this have done so by doing things like plugging the charger into an outlet that in controlled by a light switch and switching it on and off quickly for a length of time. You have to be careful though, the batteries have been known to catch fire when pulse charged since they were never designed for it.
For more information see forum.xda-developers.com/Imadeallthisup! Do NOT try this

I had CM11 and then flashed franco kernel and battery was the same as yours 4040% and 3838%. Flashed stock CM nightly and all ok now.

Nobody has achieved over 9000 yet huh?

Hey guys I just got my nexus s and im wondering why my battery is charging so slowly. I started charging it while it was completely dead and it took almost 6 hours too completely finish charging. Is there something wrong?
Btw I just got the phone yesterday and this is my second charge.

Are you using the factory wall charger or? Are you charging with a wall charger or USB hooked to computer/car? I honestly do not notice this problem with the NS.

I was using an iPod wall adapter right now because i forgot mine at home..
Also I know this is offtopic but can someone tell me how to optimize the battery life on this phone? Idle why but I feel like the battery isn't that great on this phone

If you have the Super Amoled version, then you can use an all black desktop screen saver, switch your email/Facebook/weather syncs to a later time (2-6 hours instead of every 30 minutes), put the phone in 2g only mode when your not browsing the web or downloading apps, etc.

What the hell does this got to do with a 6 hour charge time ? As if the display is on all the time... or as if the syncing uses 10%+ off battery. It has nothing to do with this stuff, you're just not on the same page as the problem.
Try again with the original charger plugged into the wall socket, not into USB.

Battery meter sticks, really bad

My battery meter almost never goes down... started doing this after flashing BAMF remix, then i reflashed..no dice. Sometimes ill see it drop by 2-3 percent at a time.. sometimes 1%, after like 30 minutes or so, but with constant usage and 4G on this shouldn't be possible.. Could my voltages actually be getting me better battery?
Here is all I use, running Bamf CF 2.0 kernel (ignore my signature)
368 750
768 875
1024 1000
Also rebooting drains about 3-12% of battery at time... give or take.

The same thing is happening to some people, including me, in this thread:
losing about 5-10% battery on reboot
Someone suggested bump charging and wiping battery stats, but that hasn't fixed the problem for me.
i've had similar problems with mine and my reboots usually drop me 5-10%,, which is rediculous!
I refuse to bump charge, and I have calibrated twice in the past two days

Yea I heard bump charging can hurt your battery if you do it to much or more than once and every time you flash a new rom and kernel battery stats get thrown off anyways for a couple of charges

When I reboot and lose 10% or so it seems to catch back up. If I look at the graph there will be a big drop from the reboot then it will seemingly use no power for the for a long time then continue to decrease at at normal rate.

further explain what the hell do you mean? you need to give us a bit more detail on what exactly are you encountering or specifically ask why is this happening.
I included the screen grab didn't I? It says 6 days plus on battery. When the phone lasts only a day. See the screen grab.
And this is after the JB OTA update.

Your being to broad that doesn't mean anything to me all I see is 6days and your charging it every so often what's wrong? Your phone is lasting a day? Explain what exactly your doing you need to specify and further explain what your doing.
For example
In screenie I have 4 days on one charge.
I watched some netflix and barely any usage it was very minimal. And about every other 6 to 12 hours I turn off data and switch on airplane mode as you can see.
Another thing leaving your phone on for that much time just IMO makes the battery life die faster rather than fully charging do your usual stuff till the day ends and once done at night just shut it off charge turn back on in the morn.

Isn't this a bug? It's only supposed to tell me the time the phone's been running on battery since the last charge. See screenshot from my Photon 4G for example.

there is no bug at all. it tells you the time since the phone has been on no from the last charge.
Lets say i use my phone and im around 30% and its been 8 Hours since i turned on my phone from 100%. once i plug it in it will keep track of the time my phones been on (Up time) not from last charge.
there is an app called Better Battery Stats but it causes wakelocks but it will show you those type of stats and more
I think you are mistaken friend. The discharge graph shows the time since the last recharge. See http://support.google.com/android/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2677609&topic=2677645&ctx=topic (last para) for details.

well on my Epic it will say whatever time its been on since turned regardless of being charged or not, ive tested it out on several devices i think your losing your mind haha what does it matter anyways?
Its simply telling you how long you have been using the battery not when it was off the last charge.

For me it happens when the recharge doesn't make the battery goes above 90%. The graph will "reset" when the battery is charged above 90%.

My s3 was on fire!!!!

I went to bed normal. Plugged in my s3 into the charger . My battery was like at 4%. I leave the phone on because I use it as an alarm clock. I woke up at 6am and NY phone is really really hot I have no idea why? Why would this be? So I turn it off and let it cool down. Mean the screen was off and everything. Could my charger be bad or? It was so hot you couldn't touch the screen for long.

We're going to need more info then that I am afraid to figure out what happened (if we can at all )
You flashed Clean Rom... did you
Use a custom kernel?
Flash the new firmware for the new update?
Flash the new radio for the update?
Any other things you flashed with the rom?
Any apps that have root permission?
I don't think it could be a bad charger .... key words don't think...
If it's not software related and it happens again it could be a bad cell in the battery perhaps and it's still trying to charge to capacity .... the more info you give us the more we can try and trouble shoot it.
Thank You for messaging XDA Anonamooose Tech support .....LOL
Anyone else have some insight?
Actually this happened before on my gnex . Thought the battery was bad but it can't be this battery also. What's weird was it charged it to 15% instead of 100% its like all the power after 15% was just heating it up instead of charging? Or could the battery be bad because I. Taking a hot expanded object and exposing it to quick contraction is how you pop solders and crack circuit boards.Exposing to sudden heat is not as bad as sudden cold. Plastic shrinks at a different rate then metal, and so on.
You got lucky.

You entered it twice and it's sat @ 16% for 30mins? hmm that is interesting, I'm curious, maybe this is a stock battery calibration system of some kind after all... we'll see the benefit after we've charged it I guess.
but then again, maybe this is a cheeky trick to milk the battery quick for the engineers for some reason or another that they require it...
