Ok, so I recent bought an HTC desire from ebay for like $80 and i wanted to flash it over to cricket. The carrier that was on the phone was Alltel wireless.
I've had followed this tutorial since HTC evo is similar to my phone:

I had no success. I tried using cyangenmod 7 and 6, and 2.2 froyo sense stock rom(for the programming part).
What I basicaly did was change the number on the phone and the carrier appears unknown in the stock rom but US Cellular in the cmd 7 or 6 rom.
Ive also use this to enable web and the cricket carrier:

When i used it it gave me the cricket banner but no service on the cmd 7 and 6. No effect on the 2.2 froyo sense stock rom though.

I did everything it said and it still doesn't work with my phone. Is this the only tutorial in this forum?
Well the main point I'm trying to get here is help on the flash my HTC desire over to cricket. Anyone is welcome to guide me into the right direction.
Hello i have an Evo 3d with hboot 1.30 S-on and android 2.3.3 and i'm looking for the proper software to flash my phone myself the last guy that flashed my other Evo 3d and rooted the phone, the wifi tether app never work for that matter no wifi tether app worked, so please help me find the proper software that i should use to flash my Evo 3D with the original software from day one.
I have a tmobile mytouch 4g slide i rooted it through the revolutionary website and everything but i just seen today that its a software update showing from tmobile how can i tell if my rom i used needs to be updated or what ever....i have clock work recovery mod 2.0.5.7

So...I have had an Evo Shift for well over a year now, and rooted for most of that time.
Something broke. Namely the down volume key. It thought it was continually pressed. You can imagine what happened every time I powered up.
I managed to get into safe mode, and unroot the phone. Took it in to get fixed. They had to replace it.
I now have a brand new Evo Shift. I have no idea if it is on the latest OTA or not. How do I tell?

I just got a HTC m7 801e 16gb version which seems to be for the middle east (dubai especially ) . The phone during set up somewhere states that it is a "test device " and that htc Tell is installed and turned on which helps htc collect information and reports about the phone and can't be turned off. My major grudge is that there is no option for a software update (even under the settings -About submenu) on the phone. The phone comes with:

The camera has the horrible purple tint in low light which i just cant seem to get rid of.
Please guys , i need to know if it is possible to run a software update to lollipop or even kit kat on this phone and how i can activate or check for software/firmware update on it since it ( software update ) is not in any options currently on the phone.
Or is it possible to totally root this phone and install a stable custom ROM on it?
Or am i just jinxed because i got a device for "testing purposes" even though it came in a retail box et al ?
