Warranty, LG or Tmobile for the G2X

I bought the G2X on Ebay full price. I do have some backlight issues, as of now i am ok with it, i was wondering in case if the backlight bleed increases, what is my recourse, Do i contact LG or Tmobile to warranty the phone, Any ideas? Thanks.

well since you bought it ebay i would first see what their return/warranty policy is if that doesn't work i would go with LG you should at least have a year warrant on it.

I bought my G2x through Amazonwireless and now I'm hearing that Tmobile has pulled it from their web store? I'm outside the 30 days to return to Amazon already and I don't even really know who to talk to.

Don't fret. Sometimes they pull the device for stock and marketing reasons. If they pulled it for Qc then I damn well want a replacement or exchange for phone of equal value ie htc sensation

I believe T-Mobile's Asurion covers the g2x...it doesn't matter where u bought it.because as soon as your sim card insertedand you make a few calls their system will recieve info as to which phone it is and etc.if you already have a insurance plan conjoined when u got the phone you should be good.

[Q] Anyone who has the Sensation go to a T-Mobile Store for accessories?

I got my sensation on the 8th at Walmart and went to a different T-Mobile store this morning and the rep would not sell me the cases they had in stock. I figured that they can't sell the phone, but I imagined that the accessories had nothing to do with it. Is this common?

Sounds like they are just butt hurt because Walmart broke procedure and they can't. Means lost sales for the associates at Tmo.
I think they could sell them to you if they wanted to; don't see why they would have a reason not to unless corporate just told them to kill all sales of all sensation accessories in light of the Walmart issue.
i'm going to stop by Tmo this afternoon to see if they have some parts and will report back.

This happened to me when I got my G2x. I bought it online, and got the phone before the stores were allowed to sell them in-store. They wouldn't sell me a case no matter what argument I used. I even tried to bribe the guy at Tmo with a twenty dollar bill. I ended up getting a better case off ebay for 1/4th the prive.

My store "officially" won't sell them till the 15th either.

i got mine from ebay and came in about 2 days from ordering it.

Mine sold me a case and screen protectors in a heartbeat,asked did I have a Sensation and I said that I bought it at Walmart,gave me 20% off which was still not enough but cant take no chances with this baby.Body glove was 23 after discount and screen protectors were 11 and are nicer than I imagined

FWIW... the T-Mobile store in north Colorado Springs (Falcon Landing shopping center) sold me screen protectors earlier this morning - as long as it was in the system, they were good to sell the accessories.

I might go up there for ****s and giggles later to make the reps there upset.

Went to 2 different T-Mobile locations...the first had never even heard of the phone. The second just acted snippy, saying the phone doesn't even come out til the 15th...upon which I whipped mine out (that doesn't sound quite right...but hey) and they drooled a bit.

The tmobile store i went to sold me a rubber case. The manager was hella mad i had the phone tho. He was like where did u get it, i told him walmart and he was like there not aloud to sell phones early they're lucky i dont work there. I was like whatever dude thanks for the case lol.

I just got back from my AT&T store here in the Dallas area. They have 12-15 phones in stock and the manager said they will start selling them tomorrow beginning at 12:00pm local time.
You may want to call/stop by your stores and see what they say.
I wil be there when the store opens and if I manage to get one I'll let you know!

I'm curious, can AT&T "authorized retailer" stores also receive HOX shipments earlier than May 6th? If so, I feel that this would be a much better way to convince someone to sell me one early...

Well, I've been calling around today. I did find a local "Authorized Retailer" that said they were getting their shipment in this Monday and were selling them. I even asked twice just to make sure. Giving them a call Monday morning to confirm. If so, I will do my best to grab one early.

I just got back form my local AT&T store to play with the One X and ask when they were going to start selling it. They already have the stock but are going to sell it on the 6th... but anyway, the One X is probably the most capable phone I've ever used.

It's a shame, my stores is one of the ones that follows the rules... Lol. So they're selling on the 6th.
I pre ordered though, so it's just a few more days, but I was still hoping to cancel it and buy it tomorrow, haha.

Haha yeah i think my store also follow the rules. I also pre ordered mine but through Amazon Wireless to save so major dough because I live in CA. Supposed to get it on the 9th . I hope I get it earlier though, but who doesn't lol. I can't stop thinking about this thing!! I probably shouldn't have gone and played with it today because it just makes me so much more impatient..

To answer your question, I pre ordered through Amazon Wireless, but either way, I don't think they would have let one go just for me....

the sales person in the corporate store said they will be getting shipment on Sunday, i asked if i can get one by pre ordering, he said that i wont need to, just walk in, : D

The people getting it early are so lucky! Often times, employees get threatened with facing some consequences for selling the phone before release. But others just want a commission.

The Galaxy S III is just around the corner. Why pick up the One X early instead of seeing what Samsung has produced?

Chances of getting this at a store Saturday?

So I was unfortunately unable to preorder this phone, but I'm definitely planning on getting it. Each day I have to wait is getting longer and longer and was wondering if anyone here managed to pick one up in the store today/has called a store to see if they can get one a day early on Saturday (I already badgered them enough earlier this week that I'm ashamed to call them again). Would be very awesome as Sundays don't leave me much time to play around with it

It really depends on the stores in your area. Some people have gotten theirs from in-store already. I would doubt at this point that you would be able to get one a day early but you never know. I know that Target (where I'm getting mine) won't even have theirs until Sunday.

Both radioshacks that I preordered at has em in stock, but they can't sell em to me until Sunday.

Costco is selling them now. 189...

Radioshack systems won't let them checkout the One X until the 6th(i tried three different ones and talked to a manager). Bestbuy WILL let them checkout, just gotta find someone willing to sell it. I don't know about Costco, I might try them tomorrow. None of the AT&T corporate stores I went to even hesitated before saying they can't sell until Sunday.

Dang, thanks though. I would go to Best Buy, but like I said, I doubt they would do the exchange.

I walked I to an AT&T store today and just asked to buy it and they said sure.
However, I got home and the device wasn't wrapped in plastic and when I booted it up there was someone else's account on it.
Someone at the store must have been using it and it was the only one at this store. Called every other store on the area to swap and nobody will do a swap until Monday

Something sounds very fishy about this. We get shipments of 10x of a single device at a time (usually)
Each box contains about 5 phones of that color / capacity.

Display unit maybe?
The salesman told me to call back tomorrow to see I'd their shipment arrived in and he would swap it out.

Display units can't be sold out of inventory.
I'll bet anything it was just an employee that got on it and starting screwing around with it.

Does costco let you buy the phone outright? If so how much is it? I know that ATT site says 549 but lots of times the third party retailers sell the phone for 599 or 699.

Got my $200 AT&T trade in credit

Hello everybody. Want to share my experience for anybody that pre-ordered their v20 through AT&T and was planning on getting their $200 trade in credit. Just got back from AT&T store and process was pretty simple. I took in a old iphone they checked it out, asked for my v20 imei, then they gave me an instant $200 credit in my bill. They also said I could've used the credit instantly to buy accessories at the store, or wait to get some type of card that I could use later.

This is correct. I tried to trade in a ZTE phone but it showed a $0 trade in value and they wouldn't take it.

also, has anyone searched and found a cheap burner (pre-paid phone) that can be used as a trade in? T-Mobile guys were using a Pixie4 or something, $20 at WalMart but ATT values it as a big ZERO!

You don't have to go in store, but I believe its easier and quicker. You don't need an email to go get credit in store. Just tell them you pre-ordered and are there for the credit. I couldn't find a cheap prepaid phone to turn in. The cheapest I found was a AT&T iphone 4 on eBay for $50, that AT&T valued at $5 trade in credit.

I don't know if it's the same at every store, but the rep usually gets some form of commission on accessories.
So that would probably explain it.

My local AT&T store said I had to use all $200 on accessories in store and seemed shocked that I chose to keep the phone instead of trading it for a bunch of accessories I didn't want or need. Kind of like they always act so shocked that I never want the cheapo tablet offers that will cost me $10 a month for 2 years.

I would definitely go to another store or contact AT&T customer service through the phone. What they told you is not right.
