i just rooted and custom rom my verizon gnex, everything went smoothly. about an hour or so after i couldnt send sms anymore. i use sms for 75% of communication so needless to say i need a fix asap, please help

I was listening to Music & texting on my rooted s3 when bam! It suddenly stopped sending texts ..I tried restarting my phone but nothing, tried to send texts to other people but same result. Tried calling & it works perfectly, asked my friend to text me & i got it ..tried replying & i failed.
I am running rooted VRALHE ..can someone help me please?!

From what you post you are stock rooted. Ask Verizon. Root has nothing to do with how phone works.
& just like that its working now.
Is this some sort of glitch or something?
Any one have any ideas cause I didn't do anything when it stopped working or when it started workings again
text sending is down
Mine is still down. What I think I should do is go back to stock rom and start all over with a new custom recovery. Problem is I haven't done this enough to remember what to do and what files I need.
I'm pretty sure that started as an app conflict.
It just happens. I think it's on Verizons side. It happened to me and my girlfriend at the same time (same phone, different Verizon accounts) and she was 2 hours away at the time

i got my new S3.. i noticed in 4.1.1 on stock when i would receive a group text from my friends, my response only goes to everyone individually, so if they respond it just goes to me... i installed CLEAN ROM 5.5.2 and it's still doing it.. is this an issue with jelly bean?
my phone just won't send group texts..even if i try to start one, i tjust sends to everyone individually and they can only respond just to me.
is there a fix for this? i tried searching and didn't find anything so i got frustrated and gave up.
EDIT: I used GO SMS to fix my problem... i was hoping there was a fix for the standard app, but if not, i guess GO SMS will work...
ok so i got a boost mobile moto g, great phone and all but.. i unlocked the boot loader, wiped the stock rom and installed cm11 and it went well for the first 2 days or so. i will now get "ghost" texts. it says my sister is trying to send me a multi-media text but she has never sent one. then it started saying "no APN specified on device" whenever it did this. then fixing my permissions with rom manager started deleting dolphin browser everytime i fixed em. also whenever i reboot my phone i must make a phone call before it will allow me to send a text or else the text just wont send. last but not least, yesterday i started getting texts from people that didnt send me a text or sms saying that i sent a text that the person i was texting had actually sent. anyone have the same problems? any luck on solving them?
This just started today. I haven't installed any new apps. I can make phone calls and send texts as I should be able to.
If anyone calls me it goes straight to voicemail and texts never get received.
I have tried clearing the data for my texts and phone under app settings and I have removed and reinserted the battery.
Please help.

Stock and rooted. Was working fine until yesterday.
Update - I restored an old backup and it worked again. I then restored back to current and it worked fine for about 10 minutes and stopped working again.

Any progress on this? Just had same situation...rooted stock, randomly can't make receive calls now (can make texts and calls fine tho).
Just a suggestion but I would call your provider next time it happens. They may be able to solve and give you the answer to why it's happening. Then you can fill us all in...
It turns out it was my simple card. They gave me a new one and it has been working perfectly ever since.

did you ever happen to find a solution? I have the same problem and am searching everywhere but coming up empty
I called customer support, they tried to do an update and reactivation and how it's totally off-network...couldn't reactivate, cant make receive calls or texts. So i went back to old phone and am waiting til I have time to unroot before taking it in. Pretty annoying.
Hi all,
I have a Realme GT ME (although this problem might not be device specific as no one else has had this) which I bought a couple of months ago. Everything is working fine, got the new OS update as well but one thing that is not working is SMS. Also only when SMS is generated from another app.
Normal SMS is working fine. I can send and recieve them. Only when another app tries to send and SMS, say for some verification, it instantly fail. However if I try to send the same SMS again by tapping it to retry, it work fine. I have no clue why this is happening. I have tried and ruled out most of the probable causes,
1. Sim is working fine since normal SMS works
2. It isn't the messageing app since I have tried installing a different one.
3. The SMS issue is caused in all app hence it is not app specific.
Hence it has to be something to do with the OS or the SMS service. I'd really appeciate if someone would be able to help me.
