Hello, I recently purchased a HTC 8X and I want to know which is the latest version of software for it, I have:
OS version: 8.0.10211.204
Firmware revision number: 1532.20.1008.862
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 1.10.32.19.19_3_15.39.32.19
Radio hardware version: 2.126.0.D4
Bootloader version: 0.0.1532.20 (157 404)
Chio SOC version: 8960
When I check for updates: your phone is up to date.
I want to know if there is a newer version, and how can I install it?
Thanks!
Mine is GDR3 update and newer than yours! If you made software update you should find it
My OS version: 8.0.10501.127
I have the unlocked International HTC 8X (HTC Windows Phone 8X by HTC) which have 3G only.

Hello
I just bought a HTC Inpire4G that had been used before.
The model number is "HTC HD Desire A9191" and it seems that this phone has already been modified since I can't get 3G with 850/1900 bands.
I assume that this phone was flashed with the HTC Desire HD ROM which was designed to support the European bands 900/2100.
Am I correct? what should I do to get 3G on this phone or restore frequencies I need?
Thanks
No, that's the actual hardware version of the Inspire. This won't change with different ROMs. You need to check
"About Phone" -> "Software Information" to see what ROM you have. The latest stock ROM shows up as 1.80.502.3. I think I have the stock radio which is (baseband version): 12.39.60.19P_26.06.04.06_M. I have a custom kernel so I don't know what the stock kernel version would show up as.
Ok, thanks.
My Baseband version: 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M
My Software number: 1.32.405.6
Android version: 2.2
So, my phone does'n have a custom firmware and radio?
I bought this phone because I need 850/1900 3G bands but can not get this.
Thanks

Looks like you've been rooted to the point of downgrading to the Desire HD ROM. Check your bootloader (power on while holding the VOL-DOWN key). See if you have (at the top) S-ON, S-OFF, or ENG S-OFF.

!!!THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PHONE ONCE COMPLETE!!!
phone->settings->about-> click on update demo phone.
when the pop-up screen comes up note that it says to update press yes or no. Now turn the phone to the right so it rotates to landscape. then rotate back to portait. now rotate to the left so the screen goes landscape and then rotate back to portait. You will notice it now says RESTORE DEMO DEVICE. this will erase all content blah blah click yes and wait for it to finish. Congrats retail demo mode is off your device!!!

First thing you must know is what these numbers means. 2.18.617 might sounds like it's newer than 2.17.401 but it's not.
a.bb.ccc.dd
a: Major android version update since phone release
b: related to HTC changes (software)
c: region
d: minor update / security patch
.401 means it's the software for phones sold in the european region. .617 is for phones sold in the USA . So 617 isn't newer than 401
Hello,
I have 2.18.617.56
I see that there is
2.17.401.2
Does it worth the shot to update it? Are there any differences/improvements?
Thank you
Nothing new... Just different regional versions
