Bootloop with stock firmware - HTC Sensation

I got this sensation from ebay as "New", and i tried updating the firmware, but when I unlocked it, it would say loading, and then freeze for like 15 seconds and then reboot. This is pissing me off, and I turned it off, held the power and vol down button and selected factory reset, and it's still doing the same thing. Is there any way to fix this? Any help would be appreciated!

You need to provide more detales like what your bootloaders says, how did you upgrade you firmware?

I went to Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check now and it said there was an update from google, so I updated it.
And the bootloader shows this

I tried taking out my sim card and then booting it, and to my surprise, it actually booted for some reason. (Bad sim card maybe?) I'm going to try to update it via software update on HTC and then putting in my sim card after it's done updating.

[Q] My phone no longer has service!

This is on a rogers infuse, if that helps.
I was messing around with odin and tried to flash serendipity with it, but it didn't work. So I flashed it back to the rogers stock UXKG3.
Thing was, I didn't have any data. It got me worried, so I flashed the UXKG3 no bootloader version to see if that would work.. but it said it failed!
I rebooted the phone and it showed the exclamation arrow between a computer icon and the other icon.
So I decided to flash it back to the rogers stock UXKG3 once again, and I was able to wipe user data. The phone booted up fine but now I have no connectivity whatsoever. It says no service.
What do I do?
edit: I went onto the "mobile networks" option, and it says "please insert sim card."
I rebooted my phone, but it says the same thing. Is it just a sim card error?
Could be your SIM, but make sure a modem got flashed.
Sent from my phone. :3
Check your APN settings too
Sent from my SENSATIONAL INFUSE !!!
Alright, so I flashed the rogers UXKG3 modem through Odin.. it failed! I still don't have service.
I tried to, but it says " please insert sim card to continue."
I know it's not a simcard problem, because I slipped it in my other phone and it works fine.

Did you follow this one:

And did you also check you APN? However this should've loaded the APN already.

do post. i had this happen to me. then after entering any four numbers.. it said something about encryption and i then had to fastboot flash each individual file for the rom. if the same is happening to you.. all is not lost.
---------- Post added at 04:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:39 AM ----------
yeah i haven't seen that. you might try to format/erase the cache partition in recovery (pwr and vol-). or if stock recovery doesn't allow for this... then it would have to be done in fastboot/adb. i dunno... it is just an idea. cannot hurt to try. if it works.. you will not lose any data. otherwise you are probably going to have to factory reset/flash stock back on and lose app data. good luck
Maybe you have accidentally "butt" passworded your device. It looks as how it stands right now, you probably have to factory reset it using the vol- and pwr combo. I would try @phermey advice first, but not that hopeful looking.
Edit: sorry for all those that just received a mention. Kept getting auto corrected.

Vodafone UK S6 won't update.

My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S6 from Vodafone UK, and it keeps telling her she has an update (see attached photo), however, everytime she tries to run it, it reboots into (what I assume is) recovery, tries to install the update then it comes up with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle with an Android with X's for eyes. It then reboots without installing the update?
The phone is 100% stock, never had any root or any modifications.
Any ideas why this update is failing?
Cheers
Stewart

Go to recovery and do wipe cache then update. If it does not work go again to recovery and do full reset then update. If it does not work flash this latest UK Vodafone 5.1.1 ROM via odin.

Thanks for the reply, the cache wipe didn't work. Don't really want to do a full wipe if I can help it. Will flashing that update via Odin do a full wipe?
May just take it to Vodafone and get them to sort it out.
Have you connected it up to a PC with smart switch and tried updating it that way? Failing that I'd take it into a samsung shop, they can flash / update it for you in about 20 minutes.

No, I looked at Smart Switch, and it didn't say anything about updating software, only about moving from another phone to Samsung?
We have no Samsung shops around here, would VodaFone shop do?

Yeah it should have said there was an update..... no Vodafone wont have the ability to flash it for you, if there are no Samsung shops near you could try flashing yourself via odin, it's a pretty straight forward process but if it goes wrong it *can* brick your phone and it'll have to go to Samsung anyway

Does the odin method wipe the phone?
It shouldn't but I'd make a backup anyway, to be on the safe side.

Smart switch will backup your stuff! If you need help flashing with odin there's a stock firmware sticky that guides you through everything you need to know. Or ask here I'll help.

Download Next Radio from the play store, and you need headphones plugged in to serve as the antenna.
I think they're pushing the FM radio cause of the issue going on with iheartradio
If you're not on the beta 6.1.1 of iheartradio, it causes the phone to reboot if you open and stream via that app.
Thank You, Vinny

I haven't had an issue with iheartradio use it everyday
So I got the update this morning, and went ahead and updated it. No problems with anything so far....
Except.....
For whatever reason, I decided to try for the update again and I got an error saying my phone had been tampered with. So I did what any IT guy would tell you to do and I turned it off and on. I noticed the unlocked lock icon on the galaxy s7 powered by Android screen. Now my phone is completely stock. But as I recall, that icon means the bootloader is unlocked. Maybe the update made it so that it can be unlocked now?
I'm a long time iPhone user so I could be wrong. Maybe someone should try unlocking the bootloader after the update.

Go into download mode (turn off phone, hold power, home, and volume up) and see if the Knox bit says 1, which means it is tripped. Also, https://idlekernel.com/twrp/heroqlte/3.0.2-0/ download tar from that and try and flash in Odin, if succesful, congradulations you are the first to have this.
Knox wasn't tripped
