I m going to buy the tablet Wammy desire having JELLY BEAN OS..can anybody advice me a custom rom for it...Its specs are Rockchip rk 3066 1.5 ghz dual core cortex a9 ,mali-400mp4 quad core,7inch,1 gb ram

I rooted my wammy desire 7 by following this post

Though i faced problems with the driver. and another important thing is that I executed the command one by one mentioned in the ROOT.bat file. I dont know why running the batch didnt work for me. Also, the embeded adb only worked not the one with the android SDK.
I tried flashing CWM, but kind of soft bricked my TAB. I had to reflash stock firmware again to get my TAB back

The reason I looking for the latest ROM is because I am getting a screen distoretion
and guys from wickedleak directed me to download a latest firmware
Also gettting some random freezes now and then
Please let me know if any ROM available it will be a great help

Thanks for pointing out the ROOT.bat I got the ROOT_icood70pro but ddnt realize the embedded adb is the only adb I never try and that is the working one with my RK3066. I am using Ployer Momo7 dual core.

Root not working after kinguser.apk removal
Hi damian5000,
I followed the rooting instructions which worked fine on my MTK6577.
After the rooting I installed Superuser and removed kinguser.apk in order to get english dialoges.
After a reboot of the phone the root is gone.
I tried to reroot the phone again with various tools but the are all unable to root.
Anyone has any ideas how could I obtain root privileges?

if I may say if are after deleting unwanted system app is better for now. And use root delete from google play. it work for me with my gionee ctrl v1.

I tried two following methods of rooting MTK/MT6577, one is already discussed on this forum and second is discussed on an other site, but failed to root my device.

Easiest thing to do would be to find the settings.apk online and install it which isn't really a good option [and i doubt you'd find it]. So just backup your stuff and reflash the stock ROM, root again and install the theme this time without deleting the apk file.

(Even there is one more file is there the extension id .Odex) i need to do anything with it ?

.odex files are usually found with an apk file. It supposedly helps in saving space. If you tried the settings.apk and it didn't work you're going to have to re-flash your current ROM, root and then install the theme. There doesn't seem to be any other option...

i having problems with the appp that you bring to root the device. kingroot, crash most of the times, or at last just show a message telling you "can't root you device" . i read in diferent forums, about tablets with intel porccesors, most of them use a diferent method for get the root with pc, with ms-dos program...
not sure, if kingroot hav the last update and thats why dont have the nesesary information to root my device or, i'm doing something wrong.
btw im will root my device on the other way, i was thinking kingroot is the easiest but not...

Yes, I'm pretty sure that Kingroot miatly only works on Qualcomm Snapdragon or MTK devices. Not sure about Intel. Sorry about that but thanks for telling me!

I've tried this on my Acer Iconia B1-710 however it was unsuccessfull and now my screen is flipped the other way round and it doesn't work. Please be aware that this doesn't work on Acer Iconia B1-710! Please could any one help me!

B1730 and B1-730HD is Intel Atom, not MediaTek.

my b1-a71 face the same problem, too.
if you tried every ways and can not fix it, maybe you could try this.(this might delete all your data, please backup first.)
refer this thread and download the spft frimwares and use sp flash tool to flash it( if you didn't backup, maybe unselect the option of USRDADA could make the data preserved)

I have a Acer B1-850 with Mediatec and I've searched for days, but all I've seen is to use KingRoot, KingoRoot, SRSRoot, iRoot and Root Genius. And I've seen people say that it worked first time, but I've tried EVERYTHING I've unlocked developer mode, I checked OEM Unlock and USB Tethering. Nothing works, I've tried PC & APK's, the best I've got was KingoRoot and it got to 90% and said Root Failed ERROR CODE 0x14C712 every single time I use KingoRoot

This is sad.Looks like we made a huge mistake by taking this phone and look how lazy xda members are, they can't even a create a custom recovery for a phoneand they call themselves developers

Don't know about xda but we definitely had done wrong by purchasing it. Total bull****. I even got to know that this device won't get any more update for oreo. We will get stuck on 7.0 only

I also have the same phone.Have been using it for the past 10 months.It is a nice phone but It has some software-based bugs which I feel Developers here can fix -
1) Phone going to silent mode randomly
2) I have to switch on and off Airplane mode to make
Outgoing calls work
3) RAM Management is quite poor.Always above 2GB used,so it requires Optimization
4) Battery,even if it says 3000MaH,It acts like a 1000MaH.Lasts about 4 hours of screen-on time.Again,Down to Optimization I think.
I have contacted kULt about this but no fixes seem to be coming...They seem to completely ignore old Products and focussed on Marketing and new budget offerings.
