:crying:This time I was in the community have understood many things and I lose myself much to the world never ceases android say that my first mobile was a nexus s android that which I am filled with great satisfaction and pride, as the developers have always given to whether to form a large family and help improve the mobile to be having a good performance speed and duration. I maybe fires me now but I always take a pleasant effort with your questions, details along with everything that makes up the different way to search the solution to all .. I am infinitely grateful that I have helped during this time, maybe I moved to Galaxy Nexus or S2 or any other phone, but the experience I have learned here I will never forget and I will be always going to find out what's new. 'For me it was a little hard that if I loved a lot but you know you have to move forward .. Thanks guys ..

Anyway, goodbye..
These aren't necessary. XDA has over 4 million users. If you haven't contributed anything your absence will not be noticed nor will your presence be missed.
Closed, imagine the spam if every one of our members said "goodbye" when they changed phones..
I know this is kind of vague and broad, but I wanted to get your opinions on what the fastest roms are that are out there for the Verizon version of the Galaxy SIII.
I just got mine in the mail today and will be ready to root and get goin in a couple hours after the battery charges. I am coming from the Thunderbolt, may it rest in peace, and MY GOD the lag drove me crazy, so I want the quickest LEAST laggy rom for the SIII !
You've been here since 2011, you should know the difference between Q&A and Development.
this isn't development, shouldn't go here
as far as your question goes, i feel aerovans 4.2.1 is plenty fast enough....others you can tweak and screw with all you want if you have a kernel that supports OC'ing your device......only way to tell what is the fastest in your opinion is to flash each one and test it out...simple as that
edit: damnit was ninja'd of my chance to say that for the first time lol

Yeah and everytime I post something I think should go in Development everyone says it goes here so CLEARLY I can't win.
Definitely Executioner/Cleanrom either one you can't go wrong

Clearly it ain't that serious...y somebody always gotta be an asshole? He just asked a question...get a life in the real world and quit patrolling the xda forums dumb azz ... and for me the fastest is either jelly "beans" build 6 or executioner 2....ur winnin with either one of those dude

Uh oh.. a wrong section violation. OP, hope you have a good lawyer..that's a crime punishable by death around here.
To answer the question though, people's mileage varies with ROMs. Its all in what you load with them(apps, etc.). The fastest are the AOSP ones, if you don't mind losing the bells and whistles, and putting up with the inherent bugs. Other than that, the more stripped the Touchwiz rom is, the faster it generally should be. Look around, see what one has the minimum of what you want, and give it a shot. Unlock your bootloader. Try an overclock kernel. See how it goes
lol, unless its a thread about a ROM you created, it shouldn't go in development or original development threads
if its a specific question relating to a certain ROM, ask it in that ROMs forum but beware to be flamed for not using the search function
if its a question about a theme or app and theres not a thread started in the themes & apps forum, then a question could possibly be asked in there if its relating to that only
all other questions and inquiries should be posted in the Q&A forum.......at least thats the logic i use when posting on the forums lol
It should be in q and a

This rom has been CRAZY fast on my s3. I tried Paranoid Android and Synergy too. The battery life is also insane, I got 26 hours yesterday (few hours on airplane for overnight).
While everyone is fluffing up their post counts by restating the SAME obvious information over and over for community brownie points, just thought I'd duck in and mention that the sky is generally blue, unless there are clouds in which case it may appear a color between white and dark grey.
In all seriousness though a mod will see that the thread is in the wrong section and move it accordingly. That is their job.Why 267754 people have to let that person know it's in the wrong section is beyond me.

Who cares where this question is posted. Honestly its better its posted here cause the dev threads are where everyone roams I never check q&a. So of it wasn't posted here the question would probably never be answered, so ask away op. My choice of ROM however is pures rls 10 plus has a nice theme included in the aroma installer.
Plus I thought this was a community of helping not making people feel like an idiot.

I personally like Galaxy MOD fast and a ton of options. I generally flip flop between twiz ROMs and aosp ROMs. I'm a flasholic tho lol.

Look the problem is if questions are posted in development then it will start to be hard keeping up with development because it will be cluttered by questions. That is why there are seperate sections.
As for them not being answered... Have you looked lately? There are many senior members who spend there time just cruising there to answer questions. Droid style, con, sdy(can't remember the rest now) to name a few. I personally spend most my time in q and a helping out with the little knowledge I have.
To the OP it depends what you mean by fast. If you mean benchmarks then stick with with tw, I prefer beans with lean kernel WAY overclocked. If real world I say AOSP based, they're light and lag free. My personnel favorite is Eclipse

What are you talking about? Did you read what I wrote I even answered the OP question. I simply pointed out the reason it does matter what forum. As a matter of fact I never even mentioned this was in the wrong spot.

I've always had really good luck with AOSP ROMS in the past on other devices as far as speed goes. Since getting my gs3 I've only tried a couple of TWIZ Roms so far and I'm really pleased with MLJBM with Lean Kernel. Its super fast and buttery smooth and battery is decent as well. With that said I've noticed in the past with previous devices that some Roms respond better on one device and not so much on another. Youre probably best off taking the advice that was mentioned earlier and try a few different ones out for yourself til you find what youre looking for

All i was getting at was instead of bashing the person for posting here just help em out and let the moderators deal with moving this to the proper area thats why there are moderators. We are supposed to be a "helpful" community.

Situation is as follows -- Broke my gnex yesterday, called asurion, they were out of 32g gnex so they are sending me a white verizon 32gb s3. Cool. I start medical school in a few days and won't have time to play with tons of roms, but I can't stand samsungs skin.
In your experience, what is the best "one and done" ROM? I've been running cyanogen on my gnex should I just do same or what?
Thanks for helping me as I don't have time to research properly myself
Wrong forum first off. Verizon S3 and in the wrong section (Question in general section). Don't use ROMs from this section. There is no best.

Maybe a mod can move it for me. My apologies.
only you can decide whats best for you.
if you want a one and done without the samsung look but with the stability, function and stock options check beans rom. its got a great AOSP theme that will be famliar to you.
any of the AOSP roms are pretty stable also. id recommend slimbean personally.
but again, everyone is different. so read, and try some out.
Sorry, no moving, but thread is closed as the above post says it all.
No best rom as that is very subjective.
The HTC one had this cool thing that allows you to switch between roms. According to what I read on Android authority it will be coming to the s4 as well as other devices. Here is the article.

Cant wait till this arrives, seen the demo of it on the htc one and it looked good. Perfect for those who cant choose (or want an easy option to choose) between pure android and the extra functions/skin that manufacturers add on.

Saw him releasing it for the One and got jealous. Glad hes helping us as well =)
Contributed btw!
Coming from the Nexus 4, the Galaxy S4 has little to no development. I understand that it is due to Samsung's lack of cooperation with developers and the line of processors that they use in the Galaxy S series phones. I still can't help but fell a pang of regret for not having my Nexus repaired. I am sure that I am not the only one to be disappointed by the slow development on this phone. Please feel free to voice your feelings on this depressing topic. I would be glad to know that I am not alone!
How come you think there is little development? I can understand compared to the nexus 4 because the s4 Is a newer and there is no legit way to unlock the boot loader but there is still quite a bit of ROMs and kernels for the s4.

Go get an iphone.
The development and original development threads are full of Mods, Kernels, and ROMs.
So what is your purpose for posting this thread if not trolling? If you don't like it, leave...get another phone. If you feel there isn't enough development, get to developing.
No, it's not healthy discussion. Yes, it is rude and disrespectful. I also wish you would have got your Nexus repaired.
Normally I tell people "good luck" when I end a post, but it would do you no good...you aren't looking for good luck, you are just looking to stir up trouble and insult the Developers.
Don't mind the previous posters...
I completely agree with you! Coming from all-time leading development devices in the past, the Galaxy S4 is severely lacking. Fortunately, we do have support for the main branches of development (CM, etc.), but you are correct: there isn't much here at all.
But oh well! I feel it's picking up a bit, and since the main ones work and work extremely well, I have a hard time thinking it's much of a problem. We still have choices for the flashaholics like myself. And once I learned that you can use any variant's ROMs I was able to make do.
