I have a Galaxy S III mini and I have rooted it with Maclaw's cyanogenmod 11.0. I was working for a while but then I can't charged it anymore. When I put it on my table to charge for the night I woke up and It was dead I charged it for 10 minutes because I had to run to my classes then at school i pluged it in the wall it started charging but it restarted every 10 seconds. I looked at it really wierd. After that i couldn't turn it on anymore and it wouldn't charge. When I attach it to the computer it tries to connect but nothing else. I can't get to the download mode to unroot it. Is it bricked and is there a chance that the electricity bricked it? What would happen if I would take it to the samsung center near my home and if the electricity broke it would the warranty cover it?

i have cynogen android installed on my hd2 and i have been using it for a week now, but last night i fell asleep with it while it was charging, and woke up this morning and it was dead...it wont charge or hard reset plzz help
When you insert the charger/USB, what happens?
it comes on then goes off like 3xs then it wont charge for about 3mins...finally it kicks on and starts up but doesnt charge completely even though its showing the orange light the battery still dies
Not sure if this is helpful or not but my first HTC EVO 4g had a similar issue and come to find out the charging port was broken internally. I had never mistreated the phone or attempted to force the plug into the port, it just happened. Have you tried more than one charger just to see or gently wiggling the plug while it's attached?
Thanks,
Lance
Yes i used a different charger and when i wiggled it, the charge light wold come on then go off
I had purchased a new battery for my phone which didn't fit 100% so when I turned on my phone with it in the contacts became loose while it was booting up and it shut down.
Ever since this my Nexus S i9020 has become a total brick... I can't get it to boot at all even when I plug it in to the AC Charger, plug it in to the computer, tried the old battery, tried leaving the battery out for several hours and plugging back in, tried leaving it plugged in to make sure it wasn't randomly dead, I've tried booting using all the combination of buttons and maybe to see if I could even just factory reset... The phone won't respond to anything (even unbrickable resurrector won't recognize the phone when plugged in.)
I bought this phone used off eBay a couple months ago and it was working great but as far as I know I have no warranty...
What can I do to get my phone back? I don't care if I have to send it away at this point but I've heard horror stories of Samsung taking forever and I just need to get my phone working again. Is there a repair depot in Canada that I can send my phone to get unbricked?
I don't have a jig and I haven't tried and JTAG stuff simply because I don't have it but my phone is as dead as a doornail and I really need to get it back to life.
Hi guys, my little cousin have this phone and ive been tweaking it for him since he bought it like year and a half ago. Th phone was on CM11 with the mount sd script and it was working fine. Now suddenly stopped turning on. My cousin says he was charging the phone being off and that it reached 100% in about 30 minutes what it was weird he says. He unplugged the phone and now it dosen't tur on, the pc dont make any sound when is plugget into it nor shows anything in the Windows device administrator, the charger don't make the screen turn on. I tried 2 cables and 2 chargers. I think that the board got fried maybe a electrical fucltuation in his house, an overvoltage, dont know how you guys call it, we're from venezuela. Any help or explanation will be welcome.
Sorry for my english.
Well, I've found that off-mode charging was a bit buggy in CM 11 but didn't know it could fry a board.
Try to do current flush :
i. take out the battery
ii. try to switch on the phone (battery being removed) by pressing the power button for 3-4 seconds.
iii. reinsert the battery and switch on the phone.

If this doesn't work then sorry it maybe a hardware fault.
Old: Phone was working fine at around 7% earlier today when I plugged it in to charging (worked at this time) and went-on playing Civ5 for about 40 minutes. When I grabbed it after that that screen was black and the phone was non-responsive. No charge icon when I plug it in and vol up+down + power doesn't work, nothing works , any help would be appreciated. Note that I dropped my phone into clean toilet water about 2-3 weeks ago but after vaccuming it and leaving it dry for 30 hours it worked just fine. I don't if this (battery dying?) is related to it.
I changed the battery today to a brand new and the phone still doesn't turn off. What could have possibly ****ed up inside the phone? I though maybe charging port but the phone doesn't even turn on for a bit or show any signs of survival. It doesn't even show up when I plug it in to my PC/Mac... Should I spend 10USD buying a wireless charger to test if it has to do with the charging mechanism or should I just ditch this phone...?
I have this same problem, except on some chargers it gets really hot. Otherwise same as you
I am having a similar problem. One day it shut off and it would only boot to google then go black. LG said it was an LCD connector problem and said it would be $150 to fix...i opted not to pay $150 and when i got it back it was on a previous android version 5.0 i think and it worked fine for a few days. Then i did the update that came along and it sropped working again.. wont connect to computer or turn on. Any chance it is software related? I have a new lcd on the way so i will let you know if that fixes it..
Hello, did a new LCD fix it?

Could be a charging port issue? I have a Samsung s4 that was dropped in water. When it dried, it booted but I got a weird message that said the battery temperture was too low and charging was paused. I changed the USB charging port and the phone now works perfectly without changing any other components.
Hello i found my old samsung phone but when i plug it into power or connect it to my pc it turns off and on again please help
If the battery dropped below 5% then sat uncharged for another few months it's dead and will need to be replaced.
