All,
First of all thanks for opening this up, I have a Prestigio Dual Sim PAP4040 DUO device here, which is stuck in Data roaming. I have confirmed the APN settings, and have tried restarting the device, and well all the standard stuff. Disabling mobile network on the device, still does not stop the signal bars displaying "R".
The version of android is 4.0.4 ICS
Kernel: 3.0.13 [email protected] #1
Build: 20121101.V1.0.10
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It turns out we are on orange, which since the network rebranded to EE, this has been a side effect. The correlation between the roaming symbol and the internet connectivity issues I had made, but really it was a simple mistake in the APN settings on the device.
Thank you though for everyone who spent a bit of their time thinking about this.
Appreciated.

I'm facing a strange problem,
It is NOT possible to make any outgoing calls when the phone is on 3G network.
However incoming calls, SMS send/receive and Internet Connection are working well when I'm on 3G network.
Both outgoing and incoming calls are I switch over to 2G/GSM network.
Phone Details are given below:
Manufacturer: LG
Model: -P940
OS Version: Android 2.3.7
Baseband: LG L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1138.00
S/W: LGP940AT-00-V10n-EUR-XXX-MAR-06-2012
Other Observations:
When I tried the SIM Card of another Telecom company, both outgoing and incoming calls are possible on both 3G and 2G/GSM network.
Tried updating software by OTA and LG update tool, but it says I have the latest software and no update required.
My question is:
Will the baseband of the phone change if I upgrade to ICS?? and is there any chance that it will solve my problem?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
Hey there!
2G and 3G are seperate enteties broadcasted seperately by your network provider. This could just mean that your local provider's 3G network is not strong/not working in your area. It could be the baseband but the simplest answer is often the most likely.
Sorry about that
Carl.

Hi Carl,
Thanks for the reply. However, please note that I've tried placing calls on 3G at different parts of the country but it fails every where. Moreover the same SIM card works fine with my Xperia and Huawei phones on 3G. So I'm totally confused.
Have you tried doing a standard device update using the support tool? see if LG have a baseband that corrolates with your location

Yes, My ROM was V10N, first I tried updating with LG Tool standard method but the tool didn't update the SW saying that I have the latest version & no update required. Then I downloaded a V10B ROM and loaded manually using KDZ tool, but my problem persisted. Then I tried online update again and this time it worked updating my ROM back to V10N, but it didn't solve the problem. Today I did KDZ update to ICS but still facing my original problem.

How can I switch from HSPA to HSPA+?
When I first bought this phone in May it was working perfectly in HSPA+ in my area but from past few weeks i m getting this data problem. I was downloading a video using tubemate and suddenly data got disconnected and from that onwards when i switch WCDMA only my network constantly gets switched from HSPA+ to HSPA and again HSPA to HSPA+ from second to second automatically so i can't connect to the internet. Is there any way to turn on only HSPA+. I get around 7-15 asu signal strength in my area.
I tried the dialer no. *#301279# posted in other threads but it ain't dialing.
My Carrier is Airtel India.

There's a menu with phone information and others. Now what to do?
Just click phone information and then scroll down, you will get "set preferred network type" and choose what do you want

Oh i dont know, for me it has been successfully. HSDPA=WCDMA
Hey guys recently (read: a month ago) my dad got me a moto g. I love the phone but there has been a problem with this device from day one. Neither my WhatsApp nor Google+ works properly.
WhatsApp tells me that service is operating normally, however I am unable to send/receive any messages at all. Google+ is the same as it just keeps refreshing and then tells me to check data connection.
This problem gets resolved for a few minutes when I switch my SIM card from SIM slot no.2 to slot no.1. WhatsApp works for a few minutes but then all of a sudden it just stops. My messages are never sent and I get nothing.
Apart from this problem the internet is working fine. Chrome works good, I can download stuff. Play store and Tapatalk works well too.
I have no idea why WhatsApp and G+ are the only apps not working on 3G. Could it be because of the Network operator? Or is it a defect my phone?
Some information about my device:
Name: Motorola moto g
Model: XT1033
16GB Dual Sim
Android version 4.4.4 (this issue was present on 4.4.2)
Carrier: CellOne BSNL (3G)
Country: India
Phone purchased from K.S.A.
I am more than happy provide screenshots or logs (if someone teaches me how to take them [emoji2]) if necessary. Any assistance on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

The proxy is empty but so far I have had a little success in getting it to work by rebooting the phone and changing the SIM as well as switching Airplane Mode ON and OFF.
I think this is a problem with the network itself. I'll try changing to a different one. Hopefully that works! [emoji16]
I own an GALAXY S7 EDGE AT & T ( G935A )
Yesterday on morning i was talking on phone and after 1 minutes 17 sec phone loses carrier signal and after 2 sec of losing signal the phone reboot automatically then was very slow. I rebooted the phone, and it showed that havent SIGNAL there and instead CARRIER SIGNAL i see the circle with diagonal line there.
I wait some minutes for the signal but again the same, i make some restarts but again the signal doesnt work, just displayed circle with diagonal line. Then i make RESET FACTORY and after configuration was the same again, i update to nougat 7.0 but again was the same error, i downgrade to ANDROID 6.0 but again doesnt work.
The wi-fi works perfectly with no problem, but I can't make a call, send sms, or mms, or use mobile data like 2g 3g 4g lte or gsm.
Any ideas how I can turn the radio on? I've rebooted several times and toggled the Mobile Data button, but that isn't doing anything.
Other details are:
In SIM CARD status:
NETWORK: Unknown
SIGNAL STRENGTH: -113 dBm 0 asu
Mobile Network Type: Unknown
Service State: RADIO OFF
Roaming: Not roaming
Mobile network state: Disconnected
MY PHONE NUMBER : Unknown

Build number: MMB29N.G935AUCS4API2

CAN YOU HELP ME WHAT TO DO PLEASE ? HOW TO FIX THAT ?

Have you looked in system settings to verify that your network/SIM settings are correct?
Here are some dialer menus for S7 and S7 Edge. You're looking for the menu that let's you check the status of your radio and allows you to turn the radio on/off. See if it will let you turn the radio back on.
http://www.samsungsfour.com/tutorials/all-secret-codes-of-samsung-galaxy-s7-and-galaxy-s7-edge.html
Also, try a different or new SIM.
Are you sure your service wasn't disconnected by your carrier? Have you called support?

If you read their first post, they still have their IMEI number, it is still listed where it is supposed to be in settings.
Checking IMEI would have been my first suggestion also but they have IMEI so I didn't bother mentioning it.

Did this just happen on its own, did it happen after you updated the device?
If you bought the device used and you ran into this issue when you tried to activate it, it might be a device that someone didn't pay the phone bill and the devices blacklisted. If this is the case, there's nothing you can do until/unless the previous owner's existing bill is paid, then the block will be removed.
