Hi,
I'm new to this,
I recently bricked my phone by rooting and unistalling all of the bloat apps that were hogging memory, I guess I got carried away. Should have stopped once the phone worked normally. My question is where can I find and download the PDA, PIT CSC and PHONE files needed on odin to restore my phone. It seems like all the liknks I've tried are broken. Can I install a an earlier version or something that will work on this phone or do I need to use a specific setup? can I install Cyanmod using odin?
Thanks in advance,
any advice helps

Hello guys!
I need you help, I've Giorgio Armani Galaxy S I-9010 and I was trying to update the firmware. There was 2.2 on it and I wanted to update to 2.3.5 which is the latest official for Galaxy's.
Anyway; it's my first Android phone, that's why I didn't know how to do that. So I started to play with Odin, Samfirmware etc. As you could easily guess; now my phone is BRICKEd and I can not use that.
Now I need your help and directions. Otherwise I'll have to throw my lovely phone away. I want to restore all the factory firmware and settings back so I installed from samfirmware.com -all the necessary files. I got I9010XXKB2 file which has GT-I9010-CSC-MULTI-OXA902407.tar and I9010XXKB2-REV00-ALL-low-CL909299.tar. And I also have GA3_add_hidden.pit file.
As I read forums, I need to put I9010XXKB2-REV00-ALL-low-CL909299.tar and GA3_add_hidden.pit to Odin and it should have worked but always gives errors. I tried different combinations, I installed older version of Odin as well but can not do!
Also Odin has other parts such as PDA-PHONE-CSC etc. In that case, I use PIT and PDA options, not CSC and PHONE. Because I downloadad latest firmware from samsfirmware and there were only 2 files in zip.
Other than that; in that zip file, in that case again, I use I9010XXKB2-REV00-ALL-low-CL909299.tar and other file; GT-I9010-CSC-MULTI-OXA902407.tar -where do I have to put that?
AS you see, I don't know too much and I need to be directed. Could you please help me about that guys? I 'really' need that! Thanks in advance
I'm following shiny sides tutorial link for flashing odin in order to root galaxy s5 5.1. It says "transfer trap kernel to device". I've got the trap kernel downloaded to my pc, it's a zip file. I've got my phone connected via usb, but how exactly do I transfer the trapkernel file to my phone? It gives no instructions. Thanks. I'd provide a link here of the instructions but the website won't allow me.

I'm no Odin expert, by any means, but I believe you can only flash .tar files with Odin. Perhaps you need to extract the zip file and there will be a .tar file inside.

Do I understand this correctly: Odin is used to install TWRP, then I install trapkernel after? So first I need to learn how to use odin to install twrp. Sorry if they seem like dumb questions. I'm not a developer and this is my very first time rooting anything.
No need to be a developer to flash stuff with odin, it's not hard so don't put yourself down like that. Anyway yes, use odin to flash twrp, (then do a backup of everything in your recovery before proceeding with anything else) then you flash the kernel with twrp

Thanks guys I got rooted and it's running like a champ. It's so much faster and finally able to remove the sh**tware was a giant deuce off my arse. Got sick of seeing all those staring in my face every time I looked at the running apps.
The part I was stuck on is so simple it's embarassing. It was where I was to "transfer the kernel to the device". I needed to be spoon fed so to speak lol. I realized it simply meant just literally drag the zip folder into the device and drop in anywhere.
I appreciate you guys taking the time to respond to my question. Thank you to shinyside for your work on this.
That said, any tips for newly rooted phone? For now, Im not using a custom rom. Want to keep stock to establish a baseline for future reference when using Roms.
I currently have titanium pro and froze a bunch of system apps. Don't plan on deleting any of them. Are there any system apps in particular that should NOT be frozen? So far I've stuck to apps I read here that are safe to freeze like all the Knox apps, my magazine, s finder and a few more. Can I be confident they truly are frozen and freeing up ram, or just hidden and not helping my performance whatsoever?

The Best Root Applications for Your Rooted Android
Hey
Disclosure: I haven't played around much with rooting but I got a Samsung S6 SM-G9200 Model from China and wanted it get it up to speed with google services and such so I tried to follow instructions from rooting videos, downloading Odin 3.10 and the right software for TWRP.
I was able to get it to work but when I tried to work with google services, nothing ran. So I tried to unroot and reroot after realizing there were two different types of .tar or md5 files I had to use Odin to (flash?) onto my phone. Now I've tripped KNOX, tried to unroot and reroot, but TWRP is still there but SuperSU isn't. When I try to select the booting options (or any options) from TWRP screen, nothing responds. The power button locks, but I can't unlock the screen or anything.
I've tried looking around for answers, but I don't know how I can operate TWRP from my computer without having the softwares on my phone, nor do I know how to remove TWRP and try to re-install it to see if it will respond. Still don't have google anything.
I mainly want the phone to function like it would an American/Canadian phone so I can access the apps i want and remove a bunch of the installed apps from China (everything base, even the download window is chinese).
Any advice on how to proceed? I've been searching for a while now but I'm getting lost in a lot of general answers. I'll need a step by step for things related to the phone since I haven't programmed anything substantial before.
Thanks in advance!

TWRP has the touchscreen drivers built in, so probably the one you flashed does not have them for the SM-G9200.
Also, you can try Philz Recovery, where the hardware buttons also work.

Thanks for the reply! Would I have to unroot first or can I directly flash that and proceed to see if TWRP works?
Thing is the first time I went around with the TWRP, it worked but afterwards it stopped working.

Root has nothing to do with recovery (unless you want to flash it from a booted phone) So you can flash it straight away.

Hey again... I'm so lost as to what I'm supposed to download from there. I downloaded each of the three links but none can be opened in Odin to flash (???)
At this point I just want a way to put google apps onto my phone - is there a step by step to do that? So far I haven't been able to directly download apk files and have them work. I keep getting the message, " Google Services stopped working" or If I try to log in with my account, it says " cannot communicate with google servers"
Any pointers?
Thanks in advance!
Change your phone .... with mine [emoji14] . I want 9200 for tdd bands
Sent from my Note 5 Duos S6
I got my touch screen in recovery working on my SM-G9200 by flashing the sprint version (I am using an a different international carrier and not sprint, but for whatever reason, it works)... Works perfect, I even backed up my phone and restored all working 100%... I cannot find the download link i used but the file is inside the zip attached below... Extract the zip file and flash the .tar file in odin... However this won't fix your "Google Services stopped working" problem, which is a different problem entirely and not something I am facing on my SM-9200

I"m about to break something here...
Hi,
I've just rooted a samsung J7 Prime G610F using Odin. Primarily because I wanted to recover some deleted files in the internal memory. I succedeed after many times (one click root etc... didn't worked).
Anyway now I've another problem. My phone didn't recognize the pin to unlock. Then I made a hard reset but now the phone keeps restarting!
Please any quick solution to fix this mess?
Thanks in advance
Hi guys.
Please any reply???
May be you stucked into bootloop...so check thread of fixing bootloop in your device...!You can find thread in xda j7 devices
Thanks for your reply.
I've downloaded the stock firmware to recover my phone but Odin failed. It stuck and didn't want to go in download mode.
I've read that it could be that Odin doesn't recognize the file inside the archives. So I've removed the .md5 extension and extracted the recovery image and finally put it in a new archive (recovery.img.tar)
When I flashed again with Odin I only loaded this archive and it reset my phone. It switched on normally.
My question is,
Should I load also all the files (BL, Cp, CSC, Home CSC) inside the stock firmware to recover my phone totally to its original Samsung firmware using the same method as above (remove md5 extension etc..)?
Also I need to say that neither Kies3 nor Smart Switch are working. My phone isn't recognized.
Please help me to get out of this nightmare!
I know that all of you guys are busy inventing new things but please don't forget the majority of us who don't understand so much and need some help.

I know it's a topic years ago but can you tell me how you did it? I am currently having the same problem.
desperately trying to un brick my note 5. I've been trying for weeks now to recover my phone after a rooting mishap had caused loss of imei and baseband. in the process of attempting to repair that issue I have managed to completely soft brick the damn thing. I have been to the deepest corners of google in search of this specific 4 file repair download and can not find anything that is free. I've even signed up for accounts on gsm flash and the like only to be disappointed that signing up wasn't enough to get the files I need... if anyone has a link or the files themselves I would be very thankful for there help. to be clear I can not flash standard stock rom through Odin. the process completes and the phone boots but than erases at 32 percent and will only boot to recovery with dm verity error or download mode. I've tried a few different official stock roms. I've tried flashing the one file home.tar as well as un packing and flashing boot, system, modem, cache neither of which have worked. I can't find a hidden image file to remove before flashing so unless I'm missing something im out of ideas.. the repair. firmware seems to be my last hope... also to hell out anyone trying to assist. I flashed a. efs file when trying to restore imei and that in turn re enabled frp lock.. so I believe both frp lock and oem lock are enabled. so any combination file or modified at all is out of the question... I believe it's repair or nothing. there are a few free 4 file repair downloads out there but they aren't the same number im not sure if there are any compatible enough that I could flash one of them and they work? so if any one knows of other models compatible. with the SM-N920TUVU4EQJ3 let me know so I can try to get this mess sorted out. I apologize if this has been asked somewhere els or if I'm in the wrong forum. but this seemed the most suited for my case. thank you to anyone who may be able to help
anybody?

Hi I had the same issue with my note 5 SM-N920T I managed to fix it by downloading a pre rooted with SU rom from xda I also had the twrp custom bootloader installed first for some reason my pc still picked up my phone and I was still able to upload the rom to the twrp location on the device. having done that I was the able to copy the zip file over to my device and flash it.
When I had the rom installed I was then able to download the original android rom (android 5 in my case) from sam mobile they also had the most up-to-date android 7 rom as well for the device then it was just a case of using android repair to un root the bootloader and install the original android bootloader this was also on sam mobile.
Then make sure the phone has a full battery as flash the stock firmware as you would normally with odin and have the latest Samsung drivers installed on yore system or it will fail.
After the flash has taken place the first boot will take some time my note 5 took around 45 min's and then when fully back up and running I had to spend a good 2 hours reinstalling and updating all my software and OTA updates.
