What task killers do you mean? Apps from the Play Store(like: Advanced Task Killer, Task Killer Ultimate etc.) won't work most of the time. This is because of the way Android works. It is designed to close as many apps as possible, so you can enjoy more RAM. Some will even slow down your device, because Android stops them, and the Task Killer wants to kill them too. This causes Android to start the app again. And you don't want that . But if we're talking scripts, then you should be ok :good:
Have a nice day!

@MatsPunt ,

Try Ram Booster app
Sent from my ST21i using Tapatalk

Use the Cyanogen kernel - They have removed most of the bloatware and there is considerably more free ram than in stock , PLUS it provides provision to overclock the CPU.
Install greenify app - It hibernates unwanted processes and also apps of our choosing -- >Means More Free Ram .
Install Xposed Framework and the android tuner module . There are some options to tweak the entropy and Ram management .
Smooth operation of apps is almost entirely dependent on Ram availability .
I hope it helps .

[Q] Heavy memory consumtion

I have a problem.I use stock GB 2.3.6 by samsung,CF root,CWM.
I use lancher 7 and strangely even if i hit "CLEAR RAM" button my mem consumption will be 350 mb on an avg.
Some times if i run high mem consumption games the games just shutters and my phone will restart and Battery will go <20%.
PLZ tell me a solution for reducing mem usage
I if i go ADVANCED TASK MANAGER there will be long list apps opened.

first of all android's memory management is different. There are mainly 2 reasons when u observe that ur memory is heavily consumed.
1. You are doing heavy multitasking.
2. Android itself minimise apps when it feels that its un-necessarily using resources.
I will suggest u to use some light weight launchers like adw launcher. Also use tweaks, ram script, uc kernel. I hope it will help u.
plz

ya surely...!
You can also try Samsung Andreline Tweaks or Acid Tweaks!
They keep the RAM free. Or, Try a custom ROM with MANY in-built tweaks
or u can use OS MONITOR app to check for running applications n kill them manually

The best {root} task killer for jelly bean i9003

THE BEST {ROOT} TASK KILLER FOR JELLY BEAN I9003 and other android based phones On Jelly bean tested
Install Now Just one click and all ram free with a super good looking widget like windows phone :good: don't 4gt to press thnx button
Task managers/ killers or battery savers are totally unnecessary in Jellybeans. They will do more bad than good. Clearing RECENT after use is sufficient.

but the dose not force close app it just close process in background mode like devices having low ram like our i9003 to play heavy games , runs bigger apps we needs to free up memory and force close services also .. so only root killing can do that . And this app is best in root killing and free up maximum amount of ram
All unused apps should be freeze/ uninstalled if you want a performing device. Use autostart to disable unwanted apps startup. That will help reduce apps from auto starting and thus lowering your ram.

i already know that i did that some activities also restarts advance freez works there i know that also but some programs r necessary to run like settings on startup to apply cm settings etc and with normal task killer the settings wont gets killed u need to force stop it for this app stop all in its kind..
The endgame is to freeze/uninstall whatever you don't need. It's better than using any task killer or manager..
* screenshot is my Nexus 7. Trying to run without Gapps. Not phone. But you can still stop many system apps in phone.
And why not?
I do not understand why such a delight from what does not work very well, and then? Android-general can do without it.
if using a task killer is your means of getting a better battery life, then i highly suggest you try out DS Battery Saver and Greenify instead
True... bt i got this as d best root app killer .. in its kind... this is d best

In my opinion, almost every task killer app works in the same way. So there is not much difference there. U may like the interface of one more than another but they do the same thing.
The problem with task managers is that they kill the running apps randomly. I noticed that some apps which have to run in the background simply restart after they are killed. It is simply useless to use task killers in my opinion unless b4 running heavy apps/games.
I suggest u greenify them or use titanium to freeze unwanted ones.
Hit thx.

going to try this
Greenify is the best. It automatically starts the apps if it gets a GCM push(example when a message arrives). It might not work for some apps cause they don't use GCM.

[Q] Best Task Manager (KitKat 4.4.2)

The best task manager --> NO ONE
Using a third party task killer, will not boost the performance of your phone, because android keeps applications cached to make them starting more quickly. If you want to close something use the built-in recent apps. Using an autoamed taskkiller will cause malfuntion or even slow down your system. If you want to speed up your device try to uninstall EVERY unnecessary applikation by using titanium backup. Also disabling autostarts you don't need will boost your performance. You can do this by installing "Autostarts" found on F-Droid.

Do you know about greenify
Search it for in play store
This asks root permissions
It doesnot kills but it freezes the running app untill you use it
It hibernates the running apps
It frees your RAM
task killer kills the app for that time only and causes slow down your system
But greenify doesn't kills the app but it freezes the app when you open it runs usually
Hit THANKS if I helped you

To disable auto start apps at boot
Search for BOOT MANAGER in xposed installer

[Q] Is Greenify The Same As A Task Killer

Just wondering because I love how well greenify manages my apps and keep my phone running smoother. On the contrary I know task killers are notoriously bad for your phone. Just wondering does greenify work differently than a task killer?

task killer kills tasks but they run again.
but greenify kills the apps which never run on their own.
so greenify is best and better than task killers.

So greenify doesn't cause any harm to the phone's CPU or RAM like task killers do? Sorry your saying greenify kills apps that don't run on there own? Cause when o hibernate apps it does so to apps that like to run by themselves.

greenify hibernate a app, meaning it is temporarily in freeze but its diff. it prevents unwanted background process also u can easily open or play the game ... Yeah its better than the task killer because it really prevents the app to work in background but the task killer just work when u to do so, and also task killer force an app to quit ... No greenify dont harm the phone's cpu or ram , pls. take time to look and read here :

that's what i understand ... :fingers-crossed:
