Also I ran into like 20 java errors building this so let me know what's broken and I'll see what I can do to try and fix it even though I don't know java.
Also what DPI do you guys like by default? Ill set it to whatever we like in the next build.
If you want it set to something you like, use your favorite file manager to edit system/build.prop

I was referring to the DPI. The member above you is probably right though, not everyone likes changing the DPI. I can change it easily enough by altering the build.prop myself.

Alrighty, I was just hopeful that most people liked lower DPI but I'll keep it at what it is.
Anyone had a chance to try this out yet? Some decent features.

This is based off of aosp source instead of cm source. CM source is just modified aosp source.

Everything is aosp source at the base...where it goes from there .... Who knows...bottom line CM has the biggest device support list so all the mods they pull in for device support EVERY SINGLE ROM kangs. After that its just what features they bring in or don't and where they kang them from.

Note that it might be best to post in the topic/thread that decalex linked to in the OP, as it's the "general AOKPCB" thread. It's very hard for remicks and I to maintain a dedicated device thread for all of the 30+ devices we build for!!
So once again, thanks to all for the positive notes, and big thanks to decalex for creating this thread Cheers!

HTC One S (Ville) Specific
Download & Installation
• Recommend full wipe
• Download Ville (One S) ROM and Gapps (at bottom)
From http://pcb.team.broc.co/li/aokpcb/r2-official
This is recommended, for now
• Open ROM zip with 7Zip, pull out boot.img
(note: leave the boot.img in ROM. Extracting will just copy it out, but leave the ROM as is).
• fastboot flash boot boot.img (in fastboot usb)
• Reboot recovery
• Flash ROM.zip in recovery
• Flash Gapps.zip in recovery
• Reboot
Cool Thank you.
by the way: If you are searching for an HTC ONE S folder in the nightly section... You have to choose "ville".
// testing it now ..

Most of the same bugs as AOKP and CM9, as far as I can see, but I'll keep updating the OP. It actually has been more stable than the b37 of AOKP I was using.
But all in all, it has been solid so far on my end. Ill add the known bugs to the OP tomor.

Well I reflashed the rom zip and gapps. Then I had it search network and it finally connected Now a new problem...when I select an app the border of the screen flashes red as it opens the app. It did not do this before.
Edit: Must have been a bad flash. I used rom manager. I flashed again by rebooting to recovery and now no more red flashes. Everything working fine

the 0429 gapps are the ones linked under the R2 Builds
The only reason I didn't include direct links is because I expect them to update this ROM somewhat regularly.. and the gapps package may get updated as well.
but for now:
http://pcb.team.broc.co/li/file_download/61/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
You can also almost always grab them from goo.im/gapps
Install question ?
I pull out "boot.img" from zip and flash it through fastboot.
Then i flash "Rom.zip" with or without boot.img ??

There are many great ROMs out there, with the more popular ones being AOSPA (ParanoidAndroid), CM10.1, and AOKP. Being all great ROMs, it is sometimes difficult to choose which one you want to run. Why choose when you can have all three? P.A.C.-Man ROM is combination of all three ROMs, so you don't need to keep switching or deciding between which one to flash. Get all of the features in one ROM! The sources are here.. Enjoy

FAQ
FAQRead ALL of this before posting in this thread! Thanks.
Q: I don't use the on-screen softkeys. How do I remove the navigation bar?
A: Go into Hybrid Properties --> Interface, under Workspace drag the slider for "Navigation Bar Size" to 0%.
Q: How do I disable the dual-pane layout that is preset in some apps (Settings, Gmail, etc.)?
A:Go into Hybrid Properties --> Apps and choose the app that you want to change. In the top right hand corner, click "Reset" and it will change the DPI and the layout of that app to the Workspace default that you have set.
Q: Some ROM Control options do not work?
A: ROM Control is still a WIP as of right now. The frameworks part of ROM Control has yet to be merged, so that's why some settings are blank. Please give some time, and it will be fixed in the near future.

I tried to install like a normal apk and it didn't work (didn't think it would)
so I moved it to /system/app and it still doesn't do anything.
also... this is kinda me being obsessive/ocd.... but on the boot animation the background for the pacman/ghost is not completely black... you can see the square around the picture, like I said, not a big deal, just me being obsessive.
On the positive side...
rom is QUICK! lightening fast man!
of course, way to early to tell how the battery life will be.
one thing I would really like to see is the CM10 circle battery with percentage, the one that rotates when charging, that is just slick.
I was wondering about the lack of PA settings. Now I know!
Great job on this ROM. It is super fast. And I love the loads of settings!
Klin my master port it to S3 please. All of S3 community is waiting for non-sense ROM.

Hey Klin,
I´m wondering if you are sleeping at some time...?!
How can one single person develop so many different ROMs (And what is even more import so many GREAT WORKING ROMs..:?!?!?!)
You do so much for us, even though you don´t ow the HOS anymore... Your work is so much appreciated!
Thanks again and again and again...
I might copy this Post to my clipboard as I think it wont take long until I post it in some other thread again
Wish you all the best and thanks again! Will give this one a whirl rigth now
Btw, don´t forget to get some sleep... :good:
EDIT: Maybe you could add a little of you unofficial Baked ROM as well... Have not booted this PACman one yet, but your Baked rom has been my most favourite one since you first release

Special thanks also to my brave BETA testers (InflatedTitan, f100cleveland, RollTribe, crford, and chrisc60) who trusted a newbie to build a decent ROM
Even though it's much after my first release, this was the first ROM I ever built from source. It has been 3 months in the making to get to this point, building, testing, learning, and waiting.
When the next official release BB10 drops this will go OFFICIAL and I will be the maintainer for EVITA.

Drgravy builds for the m7 HTC ONE among other devices and has been a great source of knowledge along the way. He was right there waiting with me to release for the m7. teamBAKED delayed us to do a Official BB9 build but when issues came up that delayed that they finally agreed to let us release unofficial builds for bb9 version and will wait on bb10 for an official build.
I was waiting for someone to comment on how it was working but I couldn't wait. Just finished setting it up and everything seems to be working good. There is the slight screen tearing but I know that is an issue.
Now to take it off the charger and see how battery is.
Thanks for this updated rom

Thank our cm/aokp guys for all of it...the device trees/kernel are damn near bulletproof at this point. Makes merging into a new ROM base as easy as it can be.
Of all the ROMs I've built for this device, (3 that I posted and 3 more I didn't) I always come back to this as my DD. Its fast/stable/dark and has all the feature I need and nothing I don't. I still enjoy the other ROMs this just fits my personal style best.

Gonna give this a test drive this afternoon. I think this may be the only available AOSP ROM I haven't tried. I did want to check and see if Baked Settings has the option to change the whole system DPI? I'm assuming it does since it's based off of ROM Control from AOKP but I wanted to make sure before I downloaded it.

I can't get anything to go into dual panel/tablet mode. No matter what I set the DPI to everything stays in phone mode. Even if I use xposed settings. Anyone got this to work? I love the ROM other than that. Those special midnight gapps are really sweet.

About
- -O3 Optimized
- Based off of CM
- Themed apps with the idea of beauty and elegance in mind. (WIP)
- ThemeCenter
- CM Performance Control (duh)
- All non-system/Google apps you see (Experience Project, Help Center, Changelog, etc), have been built from scratch by me. Unique, right?
- More, but I don't want to name everything this has. Too excessive.
Why?
Android is cool... right?
Yeah.
It seems like it is the same thing every time. You download a ROM, set it up, blah blah blah.
That gets boring. And boring is bad. It leads to trouble, and trouble is even worse.
MBQ wants this ROM to be YOUR ROM. Not some 'ROM' you use. F*** that. Originality is cool.
He personally created the following apps you will see:
-Experience Project
-HelpCenter
-GAppsCenter
-XPChangelog
and is currently working on several more. This is HIS way of breaking out, and trying something original. Let's hope it'll turn out decent, right?
Oh, and the freaking awesome new MMS you're going to see, was personally, and painstakingly, modified by MBQ. Consider it 'THE' MMS for 4.4, or rather, what he thinks it should've looked like. To him, that is his absolute prized posession. He had dreamed about doing it for months, gained the knowledge, and executed the s*** out of it. Hahah. We're talking HOURS and HOURS of tedious editing to make sure it looked PERFECT. So, please, try giving that a try, instead of using HangOuts. Even for 5 minutes. Or at least pretend to like it so he doesn't get bummed out. <-- Ignore this for now
All joking and immaturity aside though, MBQ worked incredibly hard on this ROM, doing nearly all of the work by himself (Seriously, Chromium is an awesome artist). So, please, enjoy this ROM.

some instructions..
use phoenixitas CWM recovery.img thats floating around
flash rom
flash gapps
flash supersu (recommended)
power down or reboot.
same old kernel troubles so expect that normal bootloop stuff.
ALSO
theres a red flickering box that pops up kinda regularly, the developer is working REALLY hard on getting bugs like this fixed as well as adding features and optimizations.
First it look awsome!!!
Downloading right now. Will report back.
Gapps link broke for anyone else?
I had to search around a bit, but ended up finding the core GAPPS file

sorry I should have iterated. I am not the developer of this rom, I simply compiled from sources and then copied MBQs' op from the nexus 4 thread.
MBQ_ is the developer.
i dont have a screenshot of the messaging app, but it looks stock. not sure if i did something wrong during the build or not. im gonna ask him about it later.
You might want to include that in the OP. I believe it's correct procedure when using posting someone else's work to state it isn't yours and give credit to the developer.
