I've tried many custom ROMs for my Pico and went really nice but I want to go back to stock ROM, I really miss the stock rom, but the problem is stock rom doesn't have init.d support so I can't run memory scripts like INT2EXT+ (it worked well with other custom roms and I found it really nice). Since I'm a noob, I searched a lot on forum and found a stock rom but it never got satisfied, I also tried to make stock rom run such scripts but failed. Is there anyone who can provide flashable stom rom with built-in memory script and busybox so I can just flash it? I would be really thankful.
Thanks you.

No, no they cannot, however if you use scripts like crossbreeder and if you do some searching, there are many methods of getting init.d support on stock Roms, just google it, use the stock Rom you found, or use a Stock based custom Rom with the things you desire, however pure stock and init.d can be achieved, i think crossbreeder can achieve it, so can root apps like pimp my rom too i think!
Hope this helps.

okay after reading a bit more and help from other users finally got this working and maybe itll be help to someone else
PHONE MUST BE ROOTED CHECK OUT THE ROOTING THREAD
AND DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK UNDERSTAND THE RISK OF OC
THE ARIA IS ALREADY PRETTY ZIPPY SO PERSONAL CHOICE
1. grab any rom cm6 or liberated, then go into the kernel thread and download the kernel pack
some people are reporting certain versions are breaking wifi,3g etc
i used oc768-v3.2 legend zip wifi working no issues plus this is sufficient for me
but if it doesnt work play around with diff kernels
2. boot into recovery mode vol down and power
3. flash your rom then flash the kernel pack and reboot
4. download and setcpu app and start OC
im not taking any credit for any of this but i wanna thank for everyone who worked on this
i just simply wanted to write this because i wanted to try this but i got alot of diff info
but after other users made a few key points decided to write this
anyone feel free to add to this and if i made any errors or whatever mods go ahead and change it
Read ,Search ,Read . I had no luck with the 3.5 kernels tho.
What you want is some hand holding it looks like.
I figured this all out for myself by reading the forum.....
but anyway I'll answer it in the foolish hope of no more people asking the same questions
1. download what files....? if your talking about roms i think youll know where to go after reading this post.
2. you can use whatever rom you like, the main two on this forum and as far as I know on the aria full stop are Liberated and Cyanogen Mod 6. Liberated is based on the stock aria rom so its pretty much what your used to with your stock aria (minus the AT&T rubbish plus a few added perks). Cyanogen Mod 6 is based on bare android so it doesn't have all the sense ui, it is also based on froyo which is the version above eclair (which is what is running on your base aria/ liberated rom). Do not ask which rom to use, it is up to personal preference you just have to try both and see which one you like.
3. you flash a kernel the same way you install a rom on your phone except instead of selecting the rom .zip file you select the kernel .zip file. You should first flash a rom and then afterwards flash the kernel. As ycode90 said some kernels don't work so just go through the process again and try another one, the 3.2 825 kernel was working on liberated for me so try that one.
All OC kernals broke wifi or mobile network on my buddies Aria, I left him with the stock kernal from CM6.

Yup, it had been my experience that these OC kernels and *anything* that utilizes gpu sucks. There isn't a kernel for the aria at this time, and by using these kernels here you are increasing cpu performance at the expense of gpu performance. I don't believe its worth it at all just for a linpack number.
Yep patiently waiting for an ARIA kernel.
Working over clock:

Good Luck
I don't understand how to flash the kernel or rom. I see no options in Recovery. I'm on CM6.0.2.1 trying to use oc844-v3.5-legend-cm-2.6.29-signed. Help?

you install it the same way you installed the CM6 Rom. Put the kernel zip on your SD card and install the zip via Clockwork. Also anytime you flash a new Rom you will have to reflash the overclock kernel.
Hi all,
I need help deciding which custom ROM to flash to my i9003, but i want one that has full Arabic support and a good camera firmware. If possible, please post images of ROMs you recommend, any help is appreciated
Good camera- gingerbread has dim video recording, so choose a froyo custom rom. Maybe cranium 3.1(I tink its froyo, not sure) and should have Arabic(again, I'm not sure). Check out the android dev section for that rom, and also I believe you can add Arabic patch to any cRom.

hello mate,
Well if you not interested in video record, I suggest for you Cyanogenmod 7 it is so smooth and stable with some issue that can be fixed soon, like video record, apps can't use mic.
this is my chose
and have fun
@bscraze Thanks for your response. Ive been reading a little about Cranium 3.1, and i'm about to flash it but i had a question related to the instructions given by sakindia123:
he says clean flash to XXKPH, so can i flash to JPKP5 instead? it is exactly the same version of gb but just different region (language)
maybe anyone can answer my question without having to start a new thread over it
thanks..

I don't think so, there's no reason not flash to xxkph, unless you're sim locked. If you still want to try, go ahead, I'm not sure weather it will work. If it doesn't you can always reflash, as it will result in a soft brick at most

cranium is GB, not froyo. don't flash the rom without upgrading to GB first. (I see that was mentioned that you know it's GB, so just a warning...). in addition, if you haven't seen it yet and you want to use push mail notification, GB has a bug on all ROMs that keeps it from working properly. if you don't need it, then flash away!

Well they both have Arabic patch, just that I'm not sure if its preinstalled in cm7. Cm7 has dsp manager which is good, Poseidon I'm not sure if it has dsp manager. Its really personal preference, for me I prefer cm7. Poseidon just wasnt for me . If you try and you feel it doesnt suit your taste, then switch. Right now I love miui so much I haven't switched roms ever since I flashed it, though im aa flashaholic and flash a lot of roms in the past for my android phones

Remember to do a full wipe before and after flashing(for safety) and you may want to flash a custom kernel after that, maybe xda bam or uc kernel, and remember to wipe cache and dalvik before and after flashing the kernel.
Remember that if you can't boot your phone but can access download mode, don't panic, just do a reflash. Eg. Reflash kpq.
PS. I recommend uc kernel v9 2009 or 1009 or 3009 if your phone can handle the overclock. Also, custom roms are definitely better than stock roms have fun flashing

Can I flash a new ROM (ICS) to my phone that has already got ICS (that's not the question) with an other kernel (Semaphore).
Do I have to change back the kernel?
Thanx for your Quick Answer.
So you want to flash a new ICS ROM over an existing ICS ROM ?
Did you mean that the current ROM has a different kernel?
Either way, flashing the new ROM will replace the old kernel and most likely work fine if the ROM is intended for your device.
What could cause problems is flashing the new ROM, then replacing the new kernel with the previous one.
Some ROMs use specific kernel features and if the used kernel doesn't suppor them it might cause problem.
If it doesn't work you should be able to flash back the previous ROM without a problem.

yesterday I resored my backup of stock rom and I searched a lot in the forum about increasing internal memory but didn't find any....can anyone help me?
Check index for a2sd on stock Rom.
Or
Use mount2SD app from play store. You need custom kernel~ateeq kernel and ext partition.

There is an app pimp my rom use it to get
Then flash any memory script
If it not work then try to flash custom kernel
Like cramium or ateeq

Simply use link2sd as it is best suitable app for stock roms..
customs roms are awesome., you just need to find the one that suits you better.try jaggyrom or ateeqrom, both have memory script pre-included.
The only way to get "increased internal memory" is to reverse mount the sd-ext partition.
Here's something that I did in Cyanic Sense: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41204177&postcount=2
And, may I know why a ~6 month old post is being "bump"ed?

Hey guys.
What's the gain of using a custom rom over the stock one (Assuming rooted stock rom) ?
I'm kinda lost in all the roms available , so I was wondering if it was really worth it

Battery life (if coupled with custom kernel)
Modifications -- some brilliant mods available -- Battery Icons, Themes, Menu settings etc
Cause you can :good:
-------
Using a custom Kernel with Stock Rooted and a few Xposed modules can be the same as a custom ROM most of the time though.. So give that a try first.
I have a lot better speed and battery life using Hyperdrive ROM with Beastmode Kernel. All the Touchwiz stuff (pen, etc.) still works, so yeah. Custom ROM > Samsung Bloatware.
I get between 11-14 hours with REALLY heavy use and full screen brightness and overclocked.

I have been trying custom ROM's and Kernels for many years..... I'm yet to find one that's worth the hassle.
Just disable the stock apps/bloatware you don't use and you'll get better { performance/battery life } than any custom ROM.
The only reason to use a custom ROM (IMO) would be for additional (required) functionality like additional fie system support etc.
I have personally had absolutely no good reason for the use of a custom Rom in years !.
I also don't feel like using custom rom over stock, I did many experiments with note one but with note 3 I would stay with stock rom.
Bloat wares are not bothering me, battery life is also decent so in my opinion leaving some extra utilities stock is better
Depends on which custom rom you choose. Some rom are good, nice and stable but others don't.
Sometimes I use custom rom because I wanna remove useless apps installed by carriers. If you find it not a issue, keep the stock one.
So if your phone is rooted then u don't really need custom rom isn't it well correct me if I'm wrong as I'm new to that android thing lol

It's not a matter of "need" Hyperdrive has given me better battery life (even after freezing all the bloat) and has a lot of customization. You can do most of it through Xposed, but all the really valuable things are in it already. I never found one I thought was worth it until hyperdrive.
Try one of the ROMs that look interesting, if you like it keep using it. If not, that's what nandroid backups are for.

If u know how to tweaks it urself, do modification to what u need, no custom rom is needed once u r rooted. Basically, once u r rooted u can do all system changes, IF u know how to.
But, assuming u r new, based on ur post, just grab any custom tom u like nd try.
