My GSM/Network icon just disappeared!

Hello people.
Suddenly and without changing anything (no program installations/uninstallations, no registry tweaks, nothing) I "lost" the GSM icon on my pda! Whenever I turn the phone on, instead of the cute little "G" icon next to the signal strength, I just get this one (the left one):

(which should only appear when no connections are active, right?)
I've also tried it on safe mode and it still doesn't work...
Still, the phone works flawlessly.
Any ideas/solutions on how to get the icon back?
I'm using Jwright's latest ROM.

G stands for Gprs signal connection.
To turn Gprs icon on,try installing GB-Soft Gprs tweak,select Search Gprs on start Radio.
Also verify you have Gprs signal in your zone.

Thank you for your reply, but you have misunderstood me
I'm talking about the little white square with the G or the U (for GSM and UMTS respectively) which used to appear right next to the signal strength icon, not the GPRS connection one!

edit: wifi issue fixed, but gsm icon issue remains :/

its one of those normal things that happen
i used JW's rom for a long time...its a normal thing...let me guess the G comes back when u connect to the gprs...suppose to...does on mine...never got a cure cuz its too small a issue...n i dont thing its a rom issue either cuz it also happens in tomal's rom sometimes...

Data problem with UXKJ7|CWM|AT&T/ROGERS|DEB&DEO|NOCIQ SkyROCKeteer 2.0 Beta 1

Anybody know why i can't access my 4G LTE or HSPA+ network on this rom? It's really weird because when i'm home, i have access to 3G, but as soon as i leave home, no data connection is made. I have full bars in an area where LTE works really well but it doesnt want to connect to it? Are there any known problemw ith this rom?

Try flashing different radios from the dev forum or try changing apn.

My D820 has never picked up anything above 2G

Hello everyone.
In november of 2016 my aunt bought this Nexus 5 (D820) from Amazon in USA and brought it here, it was brand new and factory unlocked. When I first got it I didn't flash anything on it for a few months, which means I used the factory 4.4 KitKat, and I noticed that it never picked up anything above 2G/EDGE (the small E icon). Right now I'm running Nougat and I've tested it with 3 different simcards throughout these two years and it simply never goes over 2G, I have never seen this phone with an H or H+ or LTE icon. It's either 2G or it simply drops signal.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Using the stock system
Flashing ALL the radios I found, through adb and through flashable zips
Tearing it apart to see the two antenna cables on both sides, they're there and well seated
Every single combination of Cellular Networks > 2g/3g/LTE, Roaming, no result.
I've tried different APNs, still no result
All 3 SIM cards worked with 3g right away on my previous phone, an S2
I honestly have no idea what to try next. Anybody could help?

Maybe, it's because your networks are using frequencies, which are not supported by the North America (D820) model.

D820 is for North America, D821 is for other countries.

The only thing that shouldn't work outside NA is 4G, my actual mobile carrier is Movistar, and it should work right away so..

How to change band radio

Hi everyone,
my used xperia xz have signal/network issue: when 4G is on and i receive a call the signal is so low that i have to move around or turn off lte to have a better experience; data signal is so low and laggy, sometime havent signal indoor etc... I bought a used device, originally come with UK firmware and this specs:
Android 8.0
Phone Software Version: 1302-9157_41.3.A.2.171

S1 Boot version: 1299-4832 S1_BOOT_MSM8996_LA2.0_O_204

After a guide of Kuarinfou to flash a firmware i flashed an italian firmware (cause i live in italy and i thinked to could solve it flashing an italian fw) but the signal/network issues are still there. I checked the service menu and I notice that:
- in the network preference's list there isnt the option "LTE/UMTS/GSM" but only LTE/UMTS or LTE/CDMA or LTE only or CDMA only and others combinations
- in the "select band radio" (the first option after clicking the three dots at the top) there are only 3 option: Automatic - America - Japan. NOT Europe!!!!
So I suppose this could be the reason of the issue. I suppose there is a network "limitation" about frequencies.
My questions are:
1) Could be that the reason of the issue?
2) Is there a way to change the band radio?
3) Is there a way to set on europe band and disable US or other bands?
I have read the post about how to modify lte carrier aggregation, could be the solution?
I will attach a screenshot for more info.

LG V50 Verizon Model - Unable to Make Calls

Hello all,
I seem to have an issue with the phone whereas phone calls are not working on the phone (call \receive). I thought it was an issue with the phone not unlocked but it is. I confirmed by looking at the following:
- Phone says Tmobile at the bottom of the screen
- when searching for networks, mentions all - Tmobile, ATT, Verizon, MetroPCS
- manually selected Tmobile as well as Auto Select Network
- texts work on the Tmobile Sim
- Chrome browser loads pages (data not set to roaming)
- factory reset phone and the issue persists
- inserted known working Verizon Sim to test phone ability to make calls \ receive and works ( able to dial out and ring)
- browsed around the Phone app => turned off Assisted Dialing, Video calling
At the moment, I am trying to get the KDZ to possibly flash the firmware to see if the Radios flashover.
Any thoughts?

Nevermind.
I was able to confirm that it is unlocked and able to work with TMobile....sorta. Calls come in when the phone in certain areas where it can switch to a 2G network and switch back to LTE once done.
I also noticed that the 5G UWS icon appeared in some areas. Speed test doesn't show anything 5G like (20mb down, 17 up).
I would hope that cross flash comes out soon. Lol
