Hi guyz,
I recently baught my HTC chacha and just after using two weeks the phone gets stuck every day!!
First I thaught it was some kind of virus and went in a shop for repair.but they told that it was not a virus.
So any one please suggest me some ways to repair my phone if any one had the same experience.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

It is probably just using a ton of apps that you leave running in the background. Get an app like Taskiller and Ad away, and make sure you are Root. You can see the type of junk just by looking at the processes inside taskiller. Also there is App quarantine which you can use to freeze some that just will not die.
Solution of your probolem
you should just do factory reset your phone, then it would be OK

Hi guys im about to ship off my htc inspire to htc for repair but i had a question. the phone will NOT boot at all. the orange LED light will not even show up if its plugged in. this happened after i flashed to PD198IMG.zip from the ace hack kit in HBOOT. now the phone wont turn of. if i plug it into my computer it tells me its installing this driver. but it cannot be found i looked on the internet for it and i couldnt find it. anyways! my question is. Will HTC be able to tell the warranty is voided or not. so far on here i havent found anything that HTC can do that we cant. but i need a straight answer from you devs! thanks so much!
Might run it over so they could just send you a new one

Can you not boot back to hboot volume down and power? As far as the warranty goes HTC just referbs the phone I have never got charged for rooting . Try to boot to hboot screen and the HTC sync drivers can be found on HTC web site

As far as I know it's AT&T who "cares" if you have rooted your phone, I don't think HTC cares.
ATT has never asked if I had rooted my phone they don't have in there terms & conditions they read for exchanges. And I have a friend who works for them and he said that don't care just don't tell them more than they need to know .

My phone is currently being shipped back from HTC and they didn't charge my for the repair . ! just reporting back for those who have the same issue dont have to fret about sending your device in!
Thats great news! Thanks for the update. Total turn around time was what, about 2 weeks?

I did work for them, and you're correct my friend.
They don't expect you to root it, as most customers never do. If you don't mention it, chances are it will never come up.
I doubt the geniuses in CS would even know how to check...

It all depends on how you ship it in. Yes they make YOU pay for shipping it in. i used UPS ground took about a week... the same day they got the phone they Replaced the motherboard (according to them anyways) and shipped it back out the same day. But they used ground shipping via FedEx.. even though the gal on the phone said expect the phone withen 3-5 Business days after they received the unit. So. yes. about 2 weeks total.
Out of the many threads and forums I have read it seems as though many people are scared to root, and that is understandable because of warranty issues and whatnot...but I'm just curious how long did you guys have your phone before you decided to root?
For me, I enjoyed stock on the day I purchased the phone but rooted the next day because I figured I had solved hundreds of problems with computers and phones and tech...so how hard could it be to take care of rooted android?
Your turn!

15 minutes at the most
Before I got out of the at&t store parking lot.
I waited a whole week but that was because this is my first android device, so I had to read & read & be sure I was confident enough to do it.
Right when I got home. Had bubbys already downloaded before I had the phone lol

Two weeks for me. My first android phone, so I read lots of threads here and didn't find any cases of total irreversible bricking, so I went for it. Had an anxious moment or two, but it went very well, and now I've tried several ROMs. Sticking with MIUI for now, although I keep looking at other ROM announcements...
As quickly as I could after removing it from the box.
1week and 3days.
Had to wait 3 hours because I had to fix some issues with mobile data not working right at first.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
I waited about 3 days. Got a feel of stock sense and even side loading with the Sideload Wonder Machine. I still couldn't live without Cyanogen Mod, governing my CPU, and theming my whole device.
Oh the freedom...
I made it a few hours, then I was sick of stock.....
I rooted today, and I bought the phone the week it came out. I wasn't in any rush, since I didn't want to do a bunch of troubleshooting. The rooting tools are really great and are totally stable, so I went for it.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I waited about a week only because I wanted to make sure there were no factory defects. Didn't want to go through the hassle of returning to stock.
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
I downloaded three ROM's and the hack kit when my phone shipped from Ft. Worth. When it showed up I guess it took a couple hours to root it because I just plugged it up until the light turned green and proceeded to root. It never actually booted into stock. I had enough of a nightmare with a stock Wizard back in the day.
I'm glad HTC decided to dissolve the locked bootloader policy because my SOP regarding all new HTC devices is to not buy them until they're well-supported here. HTC support is useless except for free battery cover, sim cover, and battery while in warranty and hardware exchange. They've outright lied to me a handful of times.
Took me about two weeks, as this was my first htc and manual adb root. I gotta say doing it the long way and doing the research was way better in my opinion than the one clicks and z4root that I used on my captivate. I think if more people did it the manual way we would have less conflicts with the different manufactures and in turn less locked bootloaders, because people would be more educated and less likely to mess up their devices.

I started downloading the things I needed to root BEFORE I even had the phone. As soon as I brought it home, it was time to root it!
Still haven't rooted. I'm skert.

Welcome to my world... I had to exchange one because they got so bad. My problem is that it shuts the phone down. TMO says it is a known issue... WTF? If it is a known issue, then HTC and TMO should have NEVER released it for sale!
I've had exactly two reboots since the 8th. i'd say t mobile should let you exchange it at the very least

I've never had any. I have the phone for 3 weeks now. You must have a faulty unit or some incompatible apps installed

Then you are lucky, I have mine bought yesterday resseting itself every 2 minutes... Too much money for such troubles. And this is the 3rd forum message about reboots I found. There should be just one where everyone could put their experience.
Moderators, please if you read this - make one general topic for resetting isues

Interesting little story about how I received my One S:
For the past year or so, I was using the T-Mobile LG G2x. Good at first, then I started to really dislike the phone for a variety of reasons. I ended up dropping my phone about a month after receiving it, cracking the top of the screen. The phone was still fully functional.
So last month I'm like, you know what, I'm tired of looking at the crack, let me use my insurance/deductable to get a new one. I file my claim online (130$) and they send me a refurbished G2x with a Samsung battery....
So I call them up; they apologize profusely and I request to just have them send me the new battery. They said they couldn't because "the whole package has to be together." They said they looked in their inventory and they are out of stock on the G2x (presumably since they no longer produce them). They said they would be able to offer me another device, a brand new HTC One S, to try for a week; if I like it I can keep it, if not I can return it and we can discuss other devices.
Safe to say, I love the HTC One S. It is the best phone I have ever used and I plan on using it for a long time.
Funny how things work out eh?
Haha great story
Cool story bro.
If only we had such customer service in the UK! The One S is a very nice phone you'll enjoy it

So i had my rooted htc sensation 4g stolen from my work a while ago and now im stuck using a crappy defy. does anyone have any suggestions on an okay cheap android t-mobile phone?
Please use the Device Suggestion Thread for these type of queries.
Cheers.
Sheeeit, you could probably find a cheap Sensation at this point. But if you're looking for a dirt cheap phone that is decent, grab a MT4G off craigslist.

You should get online and install Plan B https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout.labs.planb&hl=en
Get the location of your phone and go to the police, fill out a mountain of paper work, and hope that they will help you.

You do realize that your title thread seems to implicate you in the theft of your phone as you said you had your phone stolen. You should have said that someone had stolen your phone.
