Hi all!
I've got a little problem. Yesterday I rooted android 4.0.3 ICS on my Huawei Honor. I was not satisfied with the standard mp3 player so I tried winamp. I did not find it as good as I wanted so gave a try for Beatz Audio. (I know I have not HTC type) It wanted super user rights so i granted to install. After install finished the software asked me to restart the phone. I made a restart but since then it can not boot, just looping its huawei flower-animation with black background.
So I tried: wipe cache, hard reset, but after hard reset it stucks by the same point. Loopin loopin'...
I had standard ICS 4.0.3. rooted, I did not use any custom ROM thing and I didnt even thought using custom recovery mods.
Any advice how can I fix that issue?
I guess I described exactly what I made, I hope someone can help me =/
*bump*

I need some serious help ...
I rooted with Z4root, and it worked great, and EASY!!!!!
I downloaded and bought the RoM Manager from the Market because after weeks of reading, reading, and reading some more, I just couldn't bring myself to install a RoM myself. The only 2 RoM's that popped up for me was PlayfulGod & Cyanamogen 7.
I first chose Cyan... and it was great except the Market was gone, and a few other things didn't work all of a sudden. Then when I tried to change with RoM Manager it kept saying I needed to get the newer version. Long story short, I was finally able to switch over to PlayfulGod via RoM Manager. It's been a long few days, I don't remember what it was that made me want to go back to Cyan, but I figured I could just download a new Market and all would be fine. So, RoM Manager again ... download Cyan, install, backup. While it was backing up I went to sleep.
When I woke up this morning, my phone was in a looping bootmode! I get the movie thing that Cyan boots up with, then the android guy - then the movie again, android guy, movie android, over and over. I can't even get to the Volume Down, End, Power spot. When I try, I get the Huawei screen and that's all it'll do.
I was too scared to "flash" a RoM myself, and now I am completely lost. Please help me fix my phone ...

With any cyanogen mod you Have to flash google apps separate. That will solve for market problems. Since you have to flash GAPPS you might as well re download whichever cm7 check the md5 checksum and reflash that. You can find videos on youtube that give you a step by step of the flashing and backup process. Just search around the web.
Can somebody help me I love cyanogen mod and I'm trying to update my ascend to cm7.2 but it failed everytime I try any ideas please

hello!!!!i am really sorry to write here and not at lg gt 540 section but i really need a fast and reliable solution!as many answers are better.
8 hours ago me and my best friend (the owner of the gt540) had the idea to root his phone and install a custom rom.I have rooted my optimus2x several timesand i thought that it would be easier than it seemd to be.he'sphone had a factory problem. It couldn't connect to play store.so i downloaded the r4 and rooted he's phone.this is when the problems started.i installed clockworkmod but when i rebooted it booted normally.no clockworkmod recovery.so i followed some guides about have it done and finally i had to install an orange staf from france or england....(i do not remember).then i wiped data /factory reset and clear dalvik cashe and every rom i tried to install said fail status 7.i tried cyanogen , oxygen and more.now i can go cwm but when i let it boot normally it gets stuck at orange.please gime a solution cause tomorrow he is flying to Cyprus to college and he has to have at least a working phone there.uf anyone wants more than answer and can chat with me,i can tell you my Skype so that solution can be found much faster!!!thank you for your tine!!!!
wtf?????
well guys,i do not know what to say.....after several reboots it booted normally and unrooted.......i rooted the device from the start, all over and everything is ready....i do not know how it happened....
i have a samsung captivate i897.
i bought it sim free and unlocked from the states but i'm in the UK.
i recieved it already rooted running cyanogen mod and miui and have had it for 8 months. its worked perfectly the whole time.
until the past month i'd say its been radomly forcing closs on nearly everything.
i havent installed any new software or roms or anything or even dl any new apps so i cant figure out what would be causing the problem.
i tried checking for updateds on the muiu and it runs android 2.3.7
i'm not a tech person at all so i spoke to one of the tech guys at my local phone shop and he said i should try a factory reset.
so i guess i'm asking a few questions here:
1) does anyone have any idea what might be up with my phone?
2) can someone elplain to me the easiest/safest way to fix it?
please bear it mind i am a total noob at this tech stuff. i'll try to understand and cooperate as much as i can with those so kind to help me, but i'd really appreciate if people would help/point me in the right direction instead of giving me a short blunt answer which assumes i know all this tech stuff then locking my thread.
If it's already rooted & running a custom ROM, then you probably already have a custom recovery installed (probably clockworkmod). 1st thing would be to boot into recovery & do a backup. Then, you can try flashing any ROMs you want / factory reset / whatever, and restore your backup if you don't like the results.

how do i know if i have clockwork mod installed (i've never seen it before, but then again if its on the boot menu where i've not been before)
for booting into recovery i just long press the power button (at least it works like this on my phone) > reboot > recovery > ok
then what should happen after i press "ok" ?
also just to state (if it helps) the options i get for rebooting are: normal, hot boot, bootloader & recovery.
i dont really feel confident to be flashing roms (mainly because i dont really know how/which are stable etc) on the other hand i do need to fix it. guess i'd like to try the factory reset first though..... under the assumption its slightly easier.
i thought factory reset would restore the phone back to stock settings? but the guy in the phone shop said it wouldnt? (not sure how reliable he is ;] )
found this thread here which seems kinda similar

have tried uninstalling some apps to see if it helps.
the thing is with the problem is seems to occur randomly. the phone will work like perfect again for a few days then boom starts forcing close yet again.
only time will tell.
OK first off this is my gfs phone, I had rooted it using Kingroot with no problem. I flashed a custom ROM I used cynogen 12.1 and also flashed a synthetic v3 kernel. Her phone was working just fine until she let some know it all at her work mess with it! I was wondering why the hell I couldn't get into recovery thru my twrp. I have to manually do it now. Even then everything I try to do it says it fails. So I can't back it up at all. Nor flash the old stock KitKat THST it originally came with. Her screen has been blacking out to every since that dumbass friend of hers downloaded pimp my rom. He had no clue wtf he was doing. Now thru that app it allows me to delete all added **** he did to it. But somehow her phone lost her permanent root!!?? Beats me, but it explains why I can't use device control anymore. And why I can't wipe the cache to the dalvik machine. I can't flash any roms, I can't do ****. I tried using kingroot but no work! It worked on my 4th try last time but I was using her stock Android 4.44 KitKat rom. I recall reading somewhere that kingroot doesn't support lollipop 5.2 which is what I put on her phone using Cynogen 12.1!!! So basically if I can't gain access to permanently root her phone I won't be able to fix it at all! Which is bs! Van anyone help me? I manually go into recovery mode it won't even let me do a factory reset. No matter what I do it keeps saying Fail!!! I'm growing very impatient, I need to fix her phone asap. I'd appreciate it if any of you guys can help me out please. Thank you for your time...hope someone helps me.

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist

Good luck!
hi, in the past I had a huawei y511 and because I had this problem I've changed my phone now, but I want to fix it. plz help me.
Previously I could root my phone easily using framaroot 1.8, and I tried to root my phone to do some things then after things got ok, I unrooted it and this was done several times, but the latest time I wanted to root, it didn't allow me and I installed framaroot 1.9 and rooted successfully. but the problem started from here, after a couple of days, constant force closes came and without any they started force closing, clicking ok and the next one was there! sometimes restarting could fix my problem but in some situations restarting the phone was not the solution and I was made to enter recovery mode to full wipe, then everything could get ok again! firstly I thought the problem is from updated gaps, so I tried keeping them outdated to see if it was relating to this, but no nothing changed, although no apps was updated, these errors came again! I even flashed my phone (but I hadn't unlocked it's bootloader) to the stock rom to see if it could fix but NO, even in this rom problem existed and already exists! I googled a lot but couldn't find any working solution so i ask my question here! I do not know that may either unlocking bootloader or just installing a custom rom fix my problem?!?!?! plz help me this is really annoying!
