[Q] Samsung drivers on Mac 10.8 [Kies 3] - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I did a firmware update and so installed Kies 3.0 for Macintosh because I didn't know any better. Then I uninstalled Kies. What garbage!
It looks like l have 2 Samsung drivers still. In Network Utility under the Info tab, I have
SAMSUNG_Android (usbmodem2412) and
SAMSUNG Modem (SAMSUNG_MDM)
Can someone confirm if these drivers are installed by Kies and how to remove?
If they're not from Kies then any idea what software could have installed this? The only other way I connect to my Note 10.1 is using Android File Transfer. I don't think that there were any drivers installed by AFT. (???)
Thanks in advance.

[Q] How to install MTP USB drivers?

I am started to hate Kies and now I'm starting to really hate everything!!
I'm trying to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Wi-Fi UK GT-P6210 Build number: HTJ85B P6210XXLB1.
I thought I could upgrade via Wifi but apparently it doesn't work (and it doesn't) and I have to use Kies. The ADB USB drives install but the MTP drivers just will not install. I've tried all the workarounds I could find, installed and reinstalled, reset my Samsung and restarted my PC. Same problem. Tried on my Laptop. Didn't work. Downloaded a new Windows MTP driver. I mean this is ridiculous.
Also if I use this SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe or the Kies versions I get a long list of drivers and no indication of which one is the correct one. I tried all of them. Same result.
What next? Destroy it?

[Q] Download Mode Driver

I'm sure the answer has already been posted, but I have searched for hours and not found it.
My device is not recognized in download mode. I tried automatically updating the drivers and it doesn't work. I downloaded the Samsung drivers and directed windows to the folder and it still doesn't recognize the driver.
I am running Windows 8 64 bit and am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have Kies installed and have the drivers manually installed.
What am I missing?
Try installing Samsung Kies mini

For me this worked, install Samsung Kies mini.
Update
I installed the full version of Kies, then I clicked to install the Samsung Drivers. I restarted to make sure. Now it is working perfectly. I think that there are some issues with Kies Lite and Windows 8.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 3G SM-T111 - Unable to flash firmware via Odin

Hi,
I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I have the wrong section where to post.
Anyway, for a few days I've been trying to save a friend's Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, which apparently worked fine until some time ago, but for no reason one day the system stopped booting and the tablet got stuck in bootloop. I tried to download different versions of the firmware, from the oldest to the newest, I tried to install TWRP as the device lacks recovery mode, but nothing, any flash attempt with Odin continues to fail.
I no longer know what to try and I begin to believe that this device is officially to be thrown away. If you have any advice do not hesitate to write to me.
Thank you in advance.

I already flashed the stock firmware on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, so yes, they are installed.
