I'm on stock 4.4.2. I flashed a kernel and I'm getting battery discharge more so than I would like. Does anyone know if there is a flashable zip for stock kernel? And does 4.4.1 have a different kernel than 4.4.2? I wouldn't think so because of the 4.4.2 update being so small. But who knows. Anyhow I'm on the go so I can't fast boot anything. Thanks

extract the boot.img from a stock rom and flash it via the terminal emulator app or via fastboot. theres always the chance that the stock kernel wont run on whatever rom that youre using. if so, just reflash the rom.
I've got a link to a stock kernel somewhere, which you can flash via cwm recovery. I'll see if i can dig it up.

So I posted on the thread I got no answers here's the prob sk I'm coming from a two ROM and I am trying to flash carbon 1.6.1 . I did it but when I rebooted phone from recovery it past the gs3 screen and then a black screen nothing happened so does that mean I neeed to flash carbon 1.6 then 1.6.1 ? Can anyone give any input please

My guess is you are using a custom kernel along with the install? Carbon 1.6 is based on 3.4 kernel and 1.6.1 is based on 3.0 kernel. So if you flashed 1.6.1 and flashed a 3.4 kernel, it will not boot. Carbon 1.6 and 1.6.1 are the same functionality-wise but they just use different kernel versions.
If you are using a custom kernel, check out the kernels OP most likely the dev has a couple links one for 3.0 and 3.4.

Is it possible?
I've just rooted N5 and I'm using carbon KK unofficial but I have problem with play store (it gives me error if I try to download everything)...also tried to flash franco on carbon kk unofficial and I lost 3G....
So I would like to come back to stock 4.4.4 but with the root and, I don't know if it is possible, with a kernel that let me overclock, downclock, downvolt etc...Something like franco kernel but I don't know if it is possible.
any suggestion if it possible and the referement 3d?

I just recently install the factory images of lollipop and was wondering if anyone was having good experience with the custom kernel I noticed Franco and cold blue both have kernel out and was wondering if anyone had any great results with them compared to the stock kernel that comes with the factory image.
