[Q] Root without unlocking? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I just wanted to know that. I come from a soft-bricked razr i without solution, and therefore I don't want to unlock my moto g yet.
Is there any possibility that we can root it without unlocking? (In a future, of course)

Phone unlock is permanent. You can root/SBF/do whatever you want - it will stay unlocked.

[Q] How to root UK 3.1 Xoom 3G

Hi guys,
I'm looking for some help rooting my UK 3.1 3G & Wifi Xoom.
Ideally I want root access but without unlocking my bootloader... for warranty purposes.
I have looked in lots of threads and haven't found any help therefore am wondering whether anyone can help me.
Ron
There is no root without unlocking your Xoom. So either you have to unlock and get root, or you don't unlock and won't have root.

[Q] Rooting / Unlocking Bootloader

Hi I was just wondering if there will be an easy way to root and unlock bootloaders with a Chromebook in the near future?

How do I Root Without Unlocking?

Hey yall, I have some weird issues going on where I can't unlock my bootloader from Motorola (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2377064). So I have to try a different tool and it requires that I have root access. I guess motofail2go was nuked so I was wondering if there was any other hacks that allowed us to root without bootloader?
TIA

[Q] Root Moto G 2013 and warranty

I have a brand new moto G (2013 lte) and I'd like to root it and install custom Roms. I read some articles in internet and I read that if you want to unlock the bootloader you need a code you get from Motorola's website. Requesting the code code will void your warranty because your phone will be saved by Motorola as unlocked. But I also read articles where they use Cf auto root (by chain fire) to automatically root the moto g and there is no sign to request the Motorola unlock code in any step. Must the phone be already unlocked before cf autoroot or there is a way to root without being saved in Motorola databases? There is a way to unroot? I purchased the moto g from amazon, and I think that if I brick my phone rooting and I don't tell amazon that I tried to root, they would replace my phone anyway. I'm scared of the Motorola databases instead. I'm asking so because I own a nexus 5 and I rooted it, then I had to send in back because of a screen problem, so I unroofed and everything went very well. Thank you and sorry for horrible English.
