SD Card problem on Galaxy S2 - Omni Features Development

good Morning,
on the forum about omni rom for i9100 a lot of people explain problems with SD card for install or move applications on.
On CM 11 the problem doesn't exist anymore due to the modification in the review 53644 if my memory is good.
modification of fstab.smdk4210 and the init.smdk4210.rc
Could you analyse this and apply a solution for this problem.
if you need help to test the solution i'm ok for.
Best Regards
PS: thank's for this very good Rom

Our configuration is currently identical to CM's - we've had the equivalent of 53644 since before nightlies started
The sdcard fuse daemon is acting derpy, I haven't yet figured out why (not enough time yet to look at it this week)

Galaxys2 SD card derping is fixed now: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/3546/
A fstab.smdk4210 flag has gone walkabout, now it's back.

Fixes some of the issues, but not all... There's still some weirdness that's derping the hell out of OpenDelta.

[Q] Installing Miui with ext2 partitioned card

Is there anything special I need to do before installing the ROM to get the ext2 partition to work as intended?
Phone: HTC Desire GSM
Rom: MiUi 2.1.13
Sd card: Class 2
Or is itjust to install and it works like a charm?
(Nothing I need to enable in the bootloader?)
Been trying to get this thing to work for some days now but no ext storage is to be found even though ive followed all the recipies granny can come up with.
So installed the ROM yet again and it does not recognize the SD card at all...
Formatted with [14Gg - FAT34][512Mb - Ext2]
Used MiniTool Partition Wizard to partition the SD card, its a Class 2 16Gb card.
Noone has any thoughts?
Or is there an answer somewhere but I "havent taken the time to search"?
I read these forums on a regular basis, but pointing is better then silence
Are there minimum requirements to the SD card?

Best bet would be to ask in an MIUI site as there is no development for those roms done here. Also might want to check the CM site as MIUI uses all of their coding.
Thank you sir for your answer!
That sounds like a good idea.
I was under the impression that some of the developers were here, my bad then

MIUI is a closed source OS built off of the CM code. So the only thing we have here are porters and translators for now.
No prob.

[Q] Problem with Camera

I am having a strange issue with the camera.
It will take pictures, one or two just fine, then it will start taking grey or corrupted pictures.
I can not find any information on this problem on the forums or google. I'm hoping someone has an idea.
It started before I installed CM10.1, I thought changing the ROM may fix it, but it's just as bad now as it was before.
Where are the pics being stored?
On the internal memory or an external MicroSD?
This is a known issue with the gapps 4.2 camera app. Try a different gapps package Failing that ask in the cm10 help threads. Good luck.

Oh OK, thank you.
I did have the same issue with the latest official Asus update, that's why I decided to finally jump to CM10, thinking it would help.
I'm not surprised to read there are camera problems with CM10 that every defender on this forum have been touting as a solution to the Prime/Infinity's I/O issue.
On the phone boards the custom ROM devs put out in the open that most basic operations i.e. camera recording, bluetooth don't work on the ICS/Jellybean custom roms. Why am I not suprised to find the same issue is with tablets.
No point in losing basic functionality for a jerry rig I/O fix.

I mean the best ROM for ordinary use. and the ROM can support Arabic or Persian language support for messages
Stock
This Pico just have 512MB ROM and left about 100 for you, if you want more space just partition SD card as internal memory, but you won't be able to remove SD card or you will lose data.
and Rom... I totally forget which support your language, but I know there is a stock Arabic.
Sent from HTC One max
use Walkman Sense Build 5 it fits into NAND and Smooth to.but if u want to increase internal memory u have to install it on u r sdcard.
CM11
Try CM11 by galaxyfreak.. it is superb

cm9 is the best I've ever come across.
Thread Closed
As this is effectively another best ROM thread, I'm closing this one before it goes any further.
We don't allow these kinds of threads because they can easily can arguments between users of different ROMs and it can quickly get out of hand.
If you want to know which ROM is the most stable, the best way to find out is to test them out by yourself. That way you'll know exactly how stable the ROM is considering someone else's opinion on "stable" could be different to yours.
We're also not here to spoonfeed members the answers. Obviously we don't mind people asking questions but the answer to this question could/should easily be found out by you testing them

I may end up having to look for another...I hope not.
I am very satisfied with the VenomROM but am finding out today it is not completely compatible with the boost k2_cl.
funny thing is, I love it and am only having one small issue with it that can be found in the Q&A thread for the VenomROM.
If you find any ROM's you like... Please share. Thank You =)

there are no custom roms created for "K2_CL - Boost" variant.. if its an appearance thing "Themer" can change the appearance for you.. if its all the bloatware i ended up using Rom Cleaner for HTC One X found here.. the applications are the same but i had to add some extra Boost only apps in my list ~35.. after that i extended my internal partition onto my external sd card using "Partition Wizard" to create the ext4 partition that was needed to mimic the internal partition.. then used an app called "link2sd" to move all the apps/data to the extended partition leaving me with only 10mb of used space on my internal partition.. more information on extending your internal partition can be found here

[Completed] HI. im a newbie. Query for latest rom for s5830i.

Hi, i have been reading regardless. but lost somehow in many links and threads regarding custom rom for s5830i....with the "i".
anyway, its full unit is Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i. i was looking quite sometime in threads and such for a latency in any stable rom for it. i just recently installed a CM version 9.2.2-ics-plus-cooperve.
honestly, it got quite bugs. headset is not detected, USB mounting not detected via PC, the file manager is a bit troublesome if you did not mind renaming such files with their proper file name extensions. got quite a bit of twitching and sudden collapse. i've been in it for like a week, and i got troubled by its performance quite sometime. and i will not details the other, we will only get far in the subject.
anyway, i hope someone or anyone will post a link for a good working rom for s5830i.
i have it installed with CWM 6.0.1.2..
still looking, there are best roms out there but..
well, talking to myself here and hope someone notices.
but anyway. im looking atm at an xperia marshmallow rom for s5830i. hope it works with my ancient device.
just installed a CM11 earlier, CWM posted error for it said the file update was for s5830 without the "i".
well, it pays to read really, but still can't get much of the threads, i get lost easily in reading them
hope someone has a rom with stable. hope anyone can suggest or give link on which to flash via the CWM version i currently have.

Greetings and welcome to assist. We can't recommend roms, certainly for a device we don't own but all the roms in this thread should work with your device
