Which CM is the best? - HTC Sensation

Hi,
As in the topic. Which version of cyanogenmod is the most stable, battery friendly and fast?

Im using Albinoman 4.2.2 August 6 build. No bugs at all

Even the CM 10.2 - 4.3.1 rom by Albinoman is stable and fast. It is also gives me approx 2 days battery with moderate usage.

And what about CM9 is it worth to get back to it?

I should try a cm 10.1 or 10.2 ROM. some of them are very stable, like albinomans cm 10.2 ROM. Why flash a older ROM when there are newer and better ones available.

I have an Anker 1900mAh battery. Works very well!

Both CM10.2 and CM10.1 roms by albinoman887 are fast, clean, stable and got great battery life. I was using both of them for months and did not experience any issues with latest builds. Links:
CM 10.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2402665
CM 10.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2115520
I recommend reading at least a few latest pages in both treads to see that unfixed issues other users are experienced. Keep in mind that if issue is reported by only one user then there is a huge chance that it was specific for that user (specific device issue, dirty flashing or damaged download) and will never affect your experience.
Also give a try to CM11 by android1234567 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530073 ) in a few weeks when more issues get fixed. For me, greatest feature for this rom is a great performance. I almost decided to buy a new phone but after flashing this CM11 ROM i'm getting a feeling that i already got a new phone.

[Q] Is CM 10.1 Stable?

Hi,
I was just wondering if CM 10.1 is stable. I know its under the nightly section, but I am just wondering. I use this phone as my daily driver so if there are minor bugs, please list them. I am currently running CM10 right now and its perfect. Thanks
U can always do nandroid and see it for yourself. There is only one snapshot build (M1) which CM team consider to be stable(ish), other ones are nightlies. Nightlies aren't intended to be daily drivers.
Personally, i find CM 10.1 to be pretty laggy at the moment and differences between 10 are not so dramatic to bear with the instability.

For me is CM10.1 perfectly stable. I run latest nightly, update my Nexus almost everyday I never tried CM10, so maybe it's better.

Is there a stable and light rom?

Hi all!
I'm using an HTC One S, and I tried some different roms.
I tried Pacman, Paranoidandroid, but they're a little bit heavy and full of features I'll never use, and the battery doesn't last too much.
So I tried CodenameLungo, Slimroms and Carbon, and they're light and the battery use is amazing... but most of them are based on nightly release, and they're not stable. Sometimes they freeze, sometimes the sim card stop to work, sometimes I have to reboot 'cause wifi doesn't work...
And actually I'm looking for a stable and light rom... does it exist?
Waiting for any suggestion (except for Sense based rom, it's too heavy!).
Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot, I'll try it tonight... even if it's still a RC.
My vote would be for CM 10 or the latest RC.

Beanstalk
I'm using holo black bean 2.3. So far its been 100% stable for me over the past few weeks of heavy use. Most stable non sense ROM I've used. Not sure its as light as you want but the less features you use the faster the rom will likely be especially over time.

That's my advise, too. Almost vanilla Android. Latest stable for ville is 10.0 (4.1.2) and RC2 for 10.1 (4.2) is out.
Jengirl ... I've been a pure android guy since putting my old Diamond to rest. A couple of months ago, had finally had enough of Sprint, sold the Nexus S 4G, and picked up a One S for TMobile. Immediately installed CM10, and after a few weeks tried Code Lungo ... same as you, just had annoying little issues. Finally decided to run stock 4.1.1, but without all the unnecessary TMo bloat and with a stripped down, light version of Sense. Ever since, this sucker simply flies ... without any lag. What made the difference was Rom Cleaner, that I customized to meet my needs. By the way, in addition to being fast without lag ... everything works!
I'm also on holoblackbean 2.3 & this thing is stable & it flies. No complaints. I want to switch to Odyssey when this one gets buggy or it let's me down.... It never has.

Ya, I've moved to beanstalk from odyssey, dev seems more active so more updates get merged in. So far it's great, not a single issue.

I tried odyssey and i had frequently loop reboot, so i passed to cm10.1.3 rc2 band it seems a bit more stable
Definitely can't confirm any reboots on odyssey. Try fresh install after 3x full wipe.... Running very smooth and stable here...
I've made the wipes but nothing has changed: I think it is a kernel instability problem

Thank you all for the advices!
Actually I'm trying Odyssey, but it's just a day, and I've never had an issue.
And as soon as I can I'll try Beanstalk too and romcleaner.
Thanks again!
Just wanted to give a suggestion to try a specific build of CM 10.1. Look for this under "M snapshot": cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL-ville-M2
I've been using it with no issues for a few months now and everything works.

Why use a monthly snapshot when there are more stable release candidates available?
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
Best stable, light ROM for me after trying all ROM's is [ROM] SourcE v1.4 | Audio quality | Smooth | [Unsense MOD]
Everything works with just the right amount of mods, especially the sound mod is best for me. Until I can safely update firmware for 4.2.2 Sense 5 this is best ROM for stability.
Beanstalk gets my vote, CM based and very smooth

Because, in my experience, oddly enough the most recent RCs have actually been less stable than the snapshot release. :/

Here's a copy of my user text for Rom Cleaner. Using it will make the rom fly, while keeping the important parts of Sense (ie: great camera, etc).

CM10.1.3 stable - long wake problem.

I have a problem after installing cm10.1.3 stable. almost everything is working well, but we wake HOS takes two seconds. longer than the stock firmware. if anyone knows the solution to the problem?

Known issue. Upgrade to latest 10.2 nightlies to get rid of it. But you'll lose the stability of the 10.1.3 release.
Thank you, comforted me. Topic to be closed.

Since it is patched in the nightlies, will they apply the patch to 10.1.3 stable?
Same issue here, and running the stable version. I guess I will wait until 10.2 his stable in a few months.

[Q] which rom do you recommend to choose?

Hi,
i have a problem with a choice of rom. How do you think, choose CM 10.2 from albinoman887 or android1234567? Which one is better and more stable?

I'm currently using Albinomans 10.2 (even though it says ViperS in the sig)
It's stable, haven't had any issues at all.
Smooth and all.
I gotta say, it feels like this ROM is more battery hungry when compared to ViperS, but they're 2 completely different ROMs.

Chose stable custom rom for my sis

Hello people
My sister is considering flashind custom rom on her SGS Advance. And because I'm not familiar with Samsung devices (I have two Sony :>)
I would like to ask you to help me chose the most stable and fully functional custom ROM.
At the moment she has stock JB installed but it has some freezes and doesn't run very well.
What can you recommend? It doesn't have to be the nevest android.
I think I would chose between SkimKat 4.4, CyanogenMod 11 by Team Canjica and VanirAOSP 4.4.4. I know those are very good custom roms.
Can you tell me if there are any issues with those? like reboots, not working features?
If you say custom ROMs, there is no ROM which is bug free but there are stable ROMs.
Stability depends on how and what you use. All 4.4 ROMs have reached to a state where you can use them for daily use.
I am Using CM11 nightly 20140614 and dont have any problems.
All the ROMs have their dev and Q/A threads, you can check them for the most stable builds and the working/non working functionality.
Try the latest vanir aosp its fast, fluid and stable...
For me its the most stable rom yet
Well SlimKat seems to be bugless.
VanirAOSP has some bugs with SystemUI
Go for the slimkat(final). It's the smoothest, fastest rom for our phone.

I'd have to go with Vanir. Everything just works and lag is virtually non-existent. The only downside I can see is slightly shorter battery life (could be just my phone though). One advantage that i love is it has it's own updater so it's not much of a hassle to get the latest fixes and improvements!
Another option for her would be to stay with stock JB bit change her kernel to CoCore.

More performance = more battery drain.
@lozohcum : How old is she? She want a girl theme too?
After testing almost every ROM, i think that CM10.1 is the most stable(with good battery backup)...
Liquid smooth 3.2 smooth as liquid with all customizations
just battery backup is 15 to 17 hr is matter

Yeah, you should try this. Cm 10.1 is awesome!
I think u can choose between VanirAOSP or AOSP from j.team.. The last one is disscontinued but its 90% finished and 100% stable.
U can choose one of them, or, simpli, test both because testing is the only (exactly) way to know if ROM is for you (or sister).
See all!
