Edit:
I just used G2 Xposed and set my nav bar to 50% transparency. Done and done. If you have any questions, just ask.
--
I've read a transparent is possible with certain settings but I've also read that it is not possible. I'm half way there but I need the help of others.
Right now, I do have a transparent navigation bar on top of Nova Launcher. My only issue is the gradient behind the dock items and I'm not sure how to get rid of it. Anyone else run into this issue?
My Device:
VS980 - Malladus 4.2.2 - Nova Launcher - Xposed Framework w/ G2 Xposed

You'll just need to uncheck the 'show shadow' option under the desktop settings and you'll be good to go.

It has been a while since I last used Nova and the suggestion above sounds good but in case it does not solve the issue I would look at the Dock options in Nova and see is there is a transparency option there. By the way your screen looks it seems to be shaded from Nova on the Dock.

Lol no problem. Right after doing some xposed stuff I can understand not realizing it was a separate issue.

Great job, these icons look cool. Not trying to be picky, but you spelled "dialer" wrong (dailer).
ouch thanks.
I'm still new to customizing and such, how do I put these icons on my phone?

If your running a rooted phone with a custom ROM, you should be able to hold down the icon until a little edit icon appears, and you can select its icon from there. Be sure to place your icons folder on the root of your SD card.
Yes my phone is rooted and I see the Edit option at the bottom when I click and hold an icon but the gear symbol next to the word Edit is greyed out and won't allow me to drag the icon to it.

Please READ people!!! I revived this post to clarify: I'm NOT asking about system/app/GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk that is the Google search WIDGET!
I want to know where the persistent search bar system files are located in ICS so I can add the Google-logo again! The new persistent search bar is too empty for my taste...

Anyone?
I believe Google removed it from the quicksearchbar, it's not caused by a custom ROM.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
I don't think so. When I flash the 4.0.3 OTA, it's there. With the ROM in my sig it's gone. Just need the location/path so I can get it from the OTA...
Anyone?

Hm, strange.. I read around and that's what most people said.
I could be wrong, though..
Here's the location; system/app/GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
It's part of the GApps.
That is the Quicksearch WIDGET you're pointing to. I'm looking for the persistant UI searchbox. Could it be inside SystemUI.apk maybe?!
Damn, I didn't notice it was gone until reading this. Now I want it back.

yes, you can remove it , but you can not use the empty place
BUMP; Edited my 1st post in this thread...please read!
Well why not just use a custom launcher? I'm using Nova Launcher and the search bar has the google logo. Take a look at the screenshot below.
Also you can disable the persistent search bar, makind that space usable, and add the quick search widget which looks the same and that you can move.

In my first post I stated I DO NOT want the WIDGETs location or to use the widget or any launcher...*sigh*
Where are the system files/.png icons of the persistent searchbar located in the OS files. I can mod them myself...
..
Guys I really need this. I am ex Samsung user so all samsung phones have this. I used to it. There are some apps on google play but they are not good at all. Can anyone do this? For dual sim support. If yes, I can share systemUI.apk. Thanks!
Open the notifications shade and click the right most button.
Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
I dont think you understood what I want. That option is not so useful.
I know what you mean. AOSP has two separate tabs for notifications and quick toggles. Samsung uses an overlay called TouchWiz that, among other things, integrates these two tabs into one.

He mean this one form cyanogenmod.

If anybody has been interested in the new droid turbo, you're not alone. But it's not quite avaliable anywhere and it's supposedly also very expensive. There is one thing I liked about it, and it's the widget.
The flashable zip can be found right in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/themes-apps/app-droid-turbo-widget-1080p-t2936631
Download and flash in recovery. Credits go to the maker of this widget for 1080p devices.
If you don't have a custom recovery, you can manually move the apk to system/priv-app and set 644 permissions and move the framework file to system/framework with correct permissions.
working very well : İyi:
Looks great on the VS980. I just can't get it to be centered.

You can't on LG home launcher it seems. It's because it's a 4x2 widget as opposed to the 5x2 that LG uses.
I use it with nova launcher and I have no problems.
Here also is the Widget xvidgets https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xwidgetsoft.xwidget&hl=pl the same and you can set the resize widget

Gotcha. I actually like the stock launcher. I'll deal with it. Good to know if I ever want to switch though. Thanks for the heads up.

Anyway to get right clock like in Oreo back?? And also anyway to get nav bar buttons back and not use gestures? I can root if I have to or anyway is fine! Let me know thanks
Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
You can get the button NAV back without root following this XDA tutorial: https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-android-pie-gestures-google-pixel-3/
But I don't think there is any way to get the clock back on the right. If you really don't like the clock on the left; you can remove it altogether from the left via the system UI tuner, but then you have no clock at all in your status bar.
There are some Substratum themes that can do that including my Translucent Substratum Theme which moves it to the right hand side.

nothing on stock?
Also interested in putting clock back to where it belongs
If you are rooted and have TWRP than the Tulsa mods can adjust the clock.

I like the centered clock. Finally makes use of that wasted space in the middle since Android Pie doesn't use it.
