Sometimes my phone won't get notifications with the screen off and they'll show up when I then on my screen as new notifications.

Now that I've gotten jelly bean, Am I supposed to be able to expand notifications for text messages? Or quick reply? My emails seem to default to the expanded notification, and text notifications seem to look exactly the same. Galaxy s3

Just check by pinching in sideways on the notification. I'm not on the OTA but that's what Samsung changed the expandable notifications gesture to on VRBLK3.

4.1.2 has expandable notifications, i think.

The notifications are different for everything but texts... I was just wondering if this is normal?

My daughters turned this on on their galaxy s 3's and I can't get it to stop. It's supposedly enabled in the accessibility menu under settings. Turned that off but it still does it. Help!

I've heard of others having the screen turn on randomly. But this happened once in my two day nexus exp. I'm stock but root and unlock. And I was scrolling on xda through forums and my screen turned off.

Are you using custom notification apps such as lightflow? Is there a notification within one of your apps? Try restarting your phone.
